We had zero ocean experience, but our instructors, Rusty and Justin, were fantastic. They made us feel comfortable right away and did a great job teaching beginners. We were a little worried about getting cold, but Rusty set us up with extra thick wetsuits, which made a huge difference. After a quick practice on the beach, we headed straight into the water! He got both of them up and surfing in to shore within thirty minutes. I watched the whole time and it was obvious he was keeping an eye out for both of them, swimming over to my son when he couldn't quite make it through the waves on his own. Surf Ride has definitely been a staple for my family for years. They have a lot of variety which makes it such a great surf shop to check out. It's really easy to find parking on the side of the building in their lot and/or street parking. Their customer service is great as well as they always greet us, ask us if we need any help, and also help when we do have questions. Everyone is really kind and helpful honestly.
