We recently moved out of NYC, and saying goodbye to the Luke Dogwalker crew was one of the saddest parts of our move. They've been with us since we first got our pup, Layla at 8 weeks old, and we couldn't be happier with how well they took care of her, especially Doug, our regular walker. Kevin was extremely accommodating with last minute changes when they came up, and the updates/pictures with each walk were a lovely addition to our day. Everyone was always so pleasant, chill, and helpful for these first time dog parents. We know our pup loved her walks, and we are so bummed we have to move her away from the amazing folks at Luke's! I moved to the UWS about 3 months ago and have had Zac walking my dog for about 3 months now. They were recommended to me by my old dog walker on the east side. Hate to say this, but these guys beat my old dog walker by leaps and bounds. They are consistently helpful and always reliable. My last service was a revolving door of walkers coming and going but these past three months it's been the same great walker. They are always extremely accommodating for any last minute scheduling changes or late night walks I might need. We love the crew at Luke's from the management (Tony and Christina) to the walkers (our pup goes bananas for Emily!). We have been working with them for close to a year and every interaction has been professional but relaxed and friendly. Unlike other dog walking programs, Luke's provides flexibility in our schedule so if there are days where my husband or I will be home to take care of the dog and don't need a walker, we can let them know in advance and the walk is simply removed from our invoice vs prepaying for the month. I don't tend to write reviews, but I want to give Tony, Christina and the entire Luke Dogwalker crew a shout out as one of the best dog walking companies out there. They have fantastic dog walkers and full coverage when someone is out. Additionally, we've recently moved and they were able to set us up with a new walker without a hitch. Our dog is almost always walked by herself or on occasion with just one or two other dogs versus those services that have ten dogs hanging off one walker. The walkers follow any special instructions and wipe our dog's paws after the walk and towel her off if they get caught in the rain. Moreover, they have on more than one occasion helped us out with last minute boarding for our pooch. All of the boarders have taken fantastic care of our dog and I would not hesitate to use them again. Last October we adopted our dog on a Sunday afternoon and we needed a dog walker ASAP since my boyfriend and I both worked full time. Someone recommended Luke Dog Walker so we called on Monday. Tony made a house visit on Tuesday and was walking our pup, CC, by Wednesday. Over the past 7 months she's had 3 different dog walkers due to some schedule reorganization, but they always do a house visit with us first on a weekend so we can meet the new walker. All walkers have been very nice and seem to genuinely care about our dog. They are very reliable and very flexible with last minute changes. I also enjoy getting a text every day letting me know how the walk went. Thank you Luke Dog Walker!!!! We have been extremely happy with the daily walking services this business provided for our dog Jellybean. The business is very organized with easy online payment and tracking and I like that the business does its best to keep a particular walker with our dog whenever they could for consistency, but even when the backup walkers were used, they were great too! They send pics of our little Jellybean often and were honest about anything of note that came up along her walks (eg. when she ate something she shouldn't have, or was not feeling well, etc). Our dog is extremely people friendly but not always dog friendly, yet our main walker Erica was very experienced and able to find compatible dogs to buddy walk with Jellybean which we were so grateful for because the socialization has been really good for her. She has become much less dog reactive since she has been on walks with Luke Dog Walker service! We also appreciate they have overnight pet sitting, even though we did not have the chance to use it. I love this dog walking service, Tony and Christina are as good as it gets. We moved to the upper west side from gramercy last year and felt the dog walking services on this side of manhattan were over priced and disappointing. We tried numerous services until we ran into a walker with this company. I have had no complaints since we started working with Luke Dog Walker. I always joke that if they can put up with us as a client, they can put up with anyone....this is unfortunately because my partner and I both have jobs where we won't know the exact schedule until the night before or even sometimes the day of. This makes scheduling sometimes difficult but Tony has always been extremely accommodating or honest if they simply cannot make it work. Zac and Erica are our dog walkers, I don't know Erica as well but she seems extremely competent! And Zac, well, Zac has been a gem from the start. Scout has really bonded with him and it's really apparent when Zac leaves and he sleeps by the door waiting for him to come back. Tony and Christina have boarded Scout as well and he had such a great time. Scout doesn't do super well in kennel boarding (as we've noticed in the past) and this service was perfect for him. I cannot thank them enough for answering all of those late night emails, for taking care of scout like he is their own, and for just having fun with my little man. We are extremely pleased with this service. We adopted our puppy on a Saturday and Tony and Christina were walking her by Monday. Our priority was to have regular walkers and the option to board in a home, not a kennel; Luke Dog Walker provides all of that. Tony helped train our pup to walk on a leash and (to our delight) walk up and down stairs - no easy feat when living in an elevator building. Finally, our new daily walker, Ken, really goes above and beyond with communication. When an apartment in our building was on fire (yes, on fire), he gave us constant updates on the situation and put our mind at ease. When I lived in Chelsea, the dog walkers I used were unorganized and did some things that made me uneasy, so when I moved to the Upper West Side and started working with Tony and Christina's team, I was blown away by their professionalism, dedication to their dogs, and responsiveness. Janee walks my dog, Georgia, every day and takes incredible care of her and writes me detailed notes after every walk. My doormen regularly tell Janee she is the best dog walker they've seen and it is apparent how much she cares about the dogs under her care. Donald watched her for over a week over the holidays and she had the best time! Tony and Christina are so helpful with finding walkers outside of our normal weekday schedule as well, and send convenient invoices every two weeks.
