I have heard he is the best orthopaedic doctor in the Ft Pierce Fl area. The last time I was here he kept me waiting for more than an hour.

To Dr. Moran and his team at the Port St. Lucie office,…read more The level of care and professionalism that my 4 year old son experienced today was unacceptable. I would like to start off by saying that no one knows what others are going through in life. I'll spare you the reasons why we were 15 minutes late to our appointment because I know you don't care, that was clear at the appointment today. I tried calling the office to let you know that we were running a little late and I couldn't reach anyone. It went to voicemail after 3 rings. Also, when my 4 year old son is telling me several times on the way to the appointment that he's going to poop his pants, I'm going to take him to the restroom first before anything else. His level of comfort matters more than being a few minutes late for an appointment and does not require condescending remarks from the lady at the front desk. Shame on the office for such poor empathy towards a 4 year old. The amount of times I've been early or on time for an appointment and wait hours - and in this instance knowing I'm running behind so I tried to give a courtesy call - made it a poor experience from the beginning. Once called back and waiting for an x ray, the 2 nurses/assistants/whatever their title is, started cursing (F bombs, bitch, etc.) all about a patient in a wheelchair. If that's not nasty and disrespectful enough, my 4 year old is sitting just a few feet away from this. After finishing that disgusting conversation, they peeked their head around to greet my son and acted all innocent towards him in a high pitch voice as if we didn't just hear those terrible words. How unprofessional to do this around a child, let alone talk about another patient in that way. You expect me to now trust and respect this office? Health care professionals are supposed to be a safe space for individuals in need to get the help they deserve. My 4 year old son didn't deserve this. And now let's add the cherry on top to this entire thing. Dr. Moran walked into the room and my son wanted to take his bandage off himself. We've been having him help with it because we want him to be as comfortable as possible. Once it was time to take the gauze off, Dr.Moran proceeded to hold his hand down and quickly take the gauze off. The same gauze that was sticking to his stitches. My son started screaming in pain and crying. I couldn't believe what I just witnessed. We've been taking his bandages off without any tears. We gained that trust over the last few days. Now my son won't let me even touch or look at his hand. Dr.Moran ruined that trust in a matter of seconds. I even watched him pull on a stitch and reopen a spot on his finger. In that moment I spoke up and Dr.Moran responded by saying that he works with kids all day long. While this may be true, that doesn't negate the fact that this is terrible bed side manner and a horrific experience for my 4 year old. As if this entire experience of him ripping open his finger wasn't bad enough, this office only made it worse. I will never be returning or recommending this office to anyone. As a mother, I am mortified by what I witnessed and experienced today. Do better

All 4 times, all 4, they have proven that they are the best ortho group in the area. Drs. Mondo, Putney and Trocchia have proven repeatedly that their medical abilities, their staff and their compassion are the industry standard in the Saint Lucie and Martin County areas. I have never received such wonderful care and a completely phenomenal staff experience as I have with these fine doctors. I have been involved with healthcare for years as an administrative/management director. In all that time I have never enjoyed the total quality of care provided by Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. Simply stated, they are the benchmark which other practices seek to achieve.

I called and was initially told, he couldn't be seen until next week. When I explained that it was time sensitive, we were initially given an appointment for the following day at 4:30 at the Port St Lucie office. They then called back my husband and rescheduled for the Stuart location for the following morning because they had "overbooked" the doctor. At five minutes till 09:00 (we were supposed to be there at 09:00) they called and asked if we could to to PSL to see the doctor now, because the doctor in Stuart "can't help" us.. After we were already in Stuart. You do the scheduling you should know what doctors can treat what injuries. The lack of customer service and care to the fact that we literally drove an hour to be seen, only to be turned away is asinine. Don't waste your time with this awful office.
