Wow! Thats the…read morefirst world that springs to mind, and is by far THE BEST Chinese Restaurant I have been to bar none. When first seeing the outside of the building you are greeted with a oriental themed front, with an overhanding roof and two guard lions outside. Once through the double doors you come across a cozy layout, with roughly 8-10 tables of varying sizes. Not a huge place the layout used to comply with a local public house, however the decor is great with glowing red windows (obviously behind a fake wall) and great decoration throughout. Seating is ample and the ambiance isn't overpowering. Service Is great, the people are helpful and attentive without being too nosy or prying... which on occasion is a fine balance. Drinks were offered as soon as we sat down and menus handed out without a fuss. Food This is sit down buffet style menu though please don't be put off with the word 'buffet'. Your meals are all freshly prepared and served to you as you would a traditional restaurant. For £13.95 per head you get ample choice of starters and main courses. Myself I have tried almost everything on the menu (not in one visit!) and I absolutely love: Crispy Seaweed (Fried cabbage usually) Barbecue Ribs Salt and Chilli Ribs - vegetarian option - the vegetable mix with lettuce wrap. Oh and the soups are great too: The Crab meat and sweetcorn soup is my fav Main courses are all what you would expect with the addition of Thia Cuisine too. Again I loved: Garlic and Chilli King Prawns with Egg Fried Rice ( Prawns are butterflied) In conclusion if your in the area this is a great place to go and well worth a visit! p.s. limited parking at the front, otherwise parking is on the street which can be busy at times.

I picked the wrong decade to go on a diet... Since falling in love with Chinese cuisine some 24…read moreyears ago, this is the best restaurant I've found - and I've had some amazing meals in the past 24 years. The restaurant is small (but not cramped), the decor is basic (almost non-existent) and there's the obligatory Chinese music in the background... but you won't notice any of that because the food looks and tastes so good that it steals the show. The generous portion sizes (one serving can easily feed 2 people) are only surpassed by the genius quality and taste of the food. Stand out dishes tonight were the Buddha Parcels on the starter menu, and the Kung Po Chicken & Special Malaysian Satay for the mains. Looking at what other people were eating, and how quiet they were whilst eating it, I'm guessing that pretty much everything on the menu is worth writing about. I'll be testing that assertion over the next 8 months or so as I work my way through the menu! Meals cost about £25 per head including drinks, assuming you are too full after the main course to consider a dessert. I was so full I vowed never to eat again as I left clutching a doggie bag containing what remained of the main course to eat later for supper. As well as the small dining room downstairs (seats about 12), there's also a larger room upstairs - I've not been in it yet, but judging by the size of the party that came in I'm guessing it can hold about 20 upstairs. Staff are friendly, attentive and responsive to your needs - you're not left waiting around wondering where your drink is, etc. Freshly cooked food arrives at your table quickly but calmly, but I saw a note on the menu stating that Dim Sum dishes take a bit longer to prepare. If you know someone who says they don't like Chinese food, this is the place to re-educate them!

Do NOT go here,…read more Manager is awful to his staff. I kid you not, yesterday I was having an average meal with my wife. Staff were working behind bar, this manager drops a plate of food, yells AT the staff behind the bar picks it back up and (hopefully I'm not sure if he did or didn't serve it) goes upstairs. Disgusting, all the staff were brilliant, except this abusive manager that treats his staff like dirt.

It's our…read morefamilies 'go to' Chinese takeaway (I'm really sorry Mrs Lee at Davenham's Sun Ho - I love your special fried rice - please forgive me). It's small, family owned and consistent. Consistently brilliant. Our usual order is as follows: (feeds 3 adults and one bottomless-pit Brother) - Sweet and Sour Chicken; it's honestly the best I've had anywhere. Ever - Char Sui Roast Pork; again, amazing - Soft noodles; with bean sprouts and onion - 2 Egg Fried Rice or 1 Chicken/other meat Fried Rice; Tasty, non-greasy - Prawn Crackers - and one other main dish that we choose at random The family/staff who work here are friendly and super organised; when you arrive for collection (they don't deliver) the orders are spread in a fan over a silver tray - they know exactly which docket to choose from the delicately arranged pile, they pop into the kitchen and out with a bag of take-out-container filled joy. You can also opt to eat in. The restaurant is fairly small but the service is exceptional and the food is wonderful regardless of where you eat it. Car parking can be a little tricky at busy times. It's just off the main road with the car spaces in front. It's tight squeeze to manoeuvre if you're wedged in nearest the house. Also, watch out for the sneaky traffic light camera as you approach. But hey, even if you do get flashed on your way to mouthfuls of heaven - you're the real winner here.
