I do find the food a little pricey for what it is, a Chicken Butterfly meal with two sides would cost £14.45, without a drink and any further extras. Prices also seem to be going up very frequently, they seem to be increasing by 20-25p every month or two. The interior is fairly typical of any Nando's, so no surprises there. I did notice far fewer booths and comfortable seating though. You can either order at your table with the QR code or at the counter, I had to do the latter due to having an allergy. Service wasn't too attentive or friendly but it could have been as they were busy, as I visited on a Saturday afternoon. PRO TIP: Despite being a meat restaurant Nando's do NOT have mayonnaise, stocking a vegan alternative instead, offering a perinaise (peri-peri mayo) as a paid sauce, so if you're looking for regular mayo, head into Tesco beforehand. I ordered my usual Nando's order, a medium spiced Chicken Butterfly with Peri Chips and Spicy Rice, the chicken was cooked well and the rice was hot but the chips just seemed to be missing something, and had no colour to them, other than the peri salt. 3* - OK for sure, one of the better places to eat in Leigh, but there are very limited options in the town.

It looks and tastes really healthy and is full of grains like Quinoa and topped with a lovely Avocado based dressing. Now of course I had this alongside my usual staple Chicken Butterfly and Peri-peri Chips, you can now see why I'm happy there is a healthy side to choose! My girlfriend had the Quinoa salad with extra chicken which looked fantastic! Worth noting you get a 20% NHS discount with your NHS card (my girlfriend works for the NHS) - I knew there was a reason I picked her :D

Being on Bradshawgate, they don't have a drive-thru here (there is a drive-thru at Parsonage nearby), the inside area is pretty large allowing room for social distancing and seating. I did find service to be incredibly slow, I was waiting for my food for over 10 minutes and they did mark the food as "collected" around five minutes before it was even ready, I'm not sure if this was a habit or to make themselves look good on the order time, but it did originally make me worry they'd given my food to someone else. The process of ordering via the app was smooth and simple, I even preferred it to the kiosk, they seem to be trying to encourage customers to use this right now, as it helps support contactless pick-ups and is easier for both customers and the business too, I managed to pick up a special Monday offer to get a Big Mac for only 99p! The staff seemed friendly, especially one lady who seemed to be unlocking the doors to let customers and delivery drivers inside (there seemed to be more delivery drivers than staff and customers combined!). My food was hot, especially the chips, it appears they had made it fresh to order which was nice, the cheese was placed cold ontop of the burger though which I wasn't a fan of. 3* - Pretty typical McDonald's, food was OK, the waiting time and pick-up experience could be greatly improved but they're moving in the right direction with their app. TIP: There is a bench outside where you can eat your food, which can be nice in the spring/summer, especially right now with government guidelines not permitting indoor dining.

When first seeing the outside of the building you are greeted with a oriental themed front, with an overhanding roof and two guard lions outside. Once through the double doors you come across a cozy layout, with roughly 8-10 tables of varying sizes. Not a huge place the layout used to comply with a local public house, however the decor is great with glowing red windows (obviously behind a fake wall) and great decoration throughout. Seating is ample and the ambiance isn't overpowering. Service Is great, the people are helpful and attentive without being too nosy or prying... which on occasion is a fine balance. Drinks were offered as soon as we sat down and menus handed out without a fuss. Food This is sit down buffet style menu though please don't be put off with the word 'buffet'. Your meals are all freshly prepared and served to you as you would a traditional restaurant. For £13.95 per head you get ample choice of starters and main courses. Myself I have tried almost everything on the menu (not in one visit!) and I absolutely love: Crispy Seaweed (Fried cabbage usually) Barbecue Ribs Salt and Chilli Ribs - vegetarian option - the vegetable mix with lettuce wrap. Oh and the soups are great too: The Crab meat and sweetcorn soup is my fav Main courses are all what you would expect with the addition of Thia Cuisine too.
