As a bride that is terrible at planning and and the complete opposite of the typical "Bridezilla / Type A / OCD" persona, my husband and I chose to get married in Vegas 10 years ago. But, after ten long, stressful, but beautiful years together we wanted a vow renewal ceremony to celebrate our lives together, and be surrounded by our most cherished friends and family that have been by our sides throughout our journey. We knew we wanted it to take place in Colorado, but that's the only thing we knew. Every time I would start to research a venue or location, I'd get overwhelmed and stop. Until one miraculous day I googled Crested Butte and Ciera's Lucky Penny page popped up! Thank you Jesus!!! Ciera was prompt, funny, and warm. I put all of my crazy, unorganized ideas into her masterful hands, and she guided me step by step. I quickly started calling her my Fairy God Mother because that's exactly what it felt like! She has a keen sense of awareness and understanding of the couples and families that she works with, so it was easy for her to help me by narrowing down my options for all of the overwhelming decisions I had been stressing over. I quickly started to see the way she interacted with the vendors, and was impressed by how well respected she is by all of them! She's basically the Mr. Rogers of Crested Butte/ Gunnison and I felt so lucky to spend several beautiful days in her neighborhood. ;) I felt so comfortable with her taking the lead, and seamlessly ironing out all of the details. When the time came, my husband and I, as well as our children, family, and friends were all COMPLETELY blown away by how beautiful and easy everything was. Ciera Freson, owner of Lucky Penny, is top notch. She was the wedding planner for our daughter's wedding. She had great systems in place to keep us on track as we planned the wedding, and then when the wedding weekend arrived - wow -she took over and allowed us to be hosts to our guests and enjoy the weekend.
