ANOTHER Chinese take-away! More Spare ribs? Spare me! No wait. This one is specifically Cantonese, and what's that? Also Thai? Maybe this slant on the menu will mean that I'll have something more exciting than my standard of Char Sui curry.
I see that Lucky House serve red, green and WHITE curry. I'm not taking a gamble on white curry, and I'm not brave enough to inquire about what's in it. I'll save that for another day. When my green curry arrives, I'm expecting it to be made with the standard sauce like Chinese Curry. (If you didn't know, there is a standard Chinese curry powder that you can buy from Chinese supermarkets and a few other places (See 'Factory Shop Frozen Foods'). Most Chinese take-aways use this). If it is from a packet, it doesn't taste like it. Hot green chillies, coconut milk and galangal cause a party in the mouth. At £5.20 with rice, this House Special with it's quadruple meat-combo of king prawn, beef, chicken and char sui, (there-I sneaked it in somehow!), is a fit for a king.
