Upon entering the Lucky Dragon for a dinner reservation, it became immediately obvious that the owners are fanatical about red paper lanterns. The decor harked back to the intimate bistro-style setting of a Chinese restaurant in the 1980s. The restaurant appeared to be very busy, which is surely nothing but a good sign. Despite this, we were very quickly shown to our table and a drink order taken. The menu contains a large variety of English-Chinese favourites and our choices were, on the whole, delicious and plentiful. Throughout our stay the service was very attentive and neither of us felt like we were left waiting, desperately trying to grab the attention of a passing member of staff. For the quantity and quality of available dishes, the overall price was very reasonable. This restaurant was adequate for a visiting couple, but would be much better suited to a group visit. read more
