I am going to start off with the back story and the positives. I brought my truck in because I had a few dents I needed fixed and my factory paint was peeling. I went to him because he had done some great work on my sons car after a small collision repair. I decided I was going to have him do my entire truck and go against the normal factory specs (all white, no adders). I told him I needed the truck no later than 2 weeks, which he assured me would not be a problem. When I picked up my truck, all the dings and dents were gone and you would've never known they were there. Sadly, that's about where the good ends. The paint job looked pretty good, although the hood is swirled in spots. Within two days I found pain chipping on my tailgate. I brought it in to be fixed, and he did it free of charge, but took a day longer than I asked to get it fixed. Speaking of taking too long, the work I was promised would be done in two weeks required an extra day and wasn't even completed until the morning I was scheduled to pick it up. I was warned of tacky paint. The car was absolutely filthy when I got it, both inside and out. I was kind of hoping to get the full effect when I came to pick it up. I had to peel off a lot of the masking tape myself, there was overspray and paint drips all over, and my wheel wells had hardware missing. Finally, I just found more paint chipping around the tops of my doors. I fixed it myself...... My vehicle looks really good, and for collision work and or touch ups, I would say look this place up, but for a full job like mine I simply was left disappointed. Well, I did try and reach out for a paint chip smaller than a dime on my hood, but he made it very clear with how much he quoted me that he had no interest in wasting his time on it. Let me start by saying this is advertised as a customs shop, meaning custom work. Which my car absolutely falls into that category. And upon delivery it was made crystal clear I wouldn't accept anything less than perfect, and he agreed to take on the project. I had my car taken there on insurance work and asked to have some additional out of pocket work done while we in there. Dent pulls, body filler etc. When I finally got my car back after exceeding the promised deadline... -The door jambs were painted over existing dirt and grime and is now chipping. -Excessive overspray on trim pieces which should've been removed prior to paint per the PAID for scope of work. -The painters tape lines were insanely crooked and although he tried to fix them they're still not straight. -the front bumper which was supposed to be sanded down and rock chips filled, was simply painted over leaving dimples in the fresh paint. -multiple areas where the clear coat wasn't applied heavily enough and now has a sandy texture. -my rear bumper was damaged while it was painted and they just filled in the damaged areas with touch up thinking I would notice. A month or so in I notice the quarter panels are rusting from underneath the paint. So he takes the car back (not providing a rental or any reimbursement) and re does them. This happens THREE SEPARATE times. Each time needing to have the car for a week to repair his mistakes. It's worth mentioning every single time I got my car back it was absolutely filthy and in need of both an exterior and interior detail. The final and most recent time I take it back with minor fender work needing to be done in addition to the repairs of the rust. He attempts to charge me without requesting authorization with a dollar amount or any kind of receipt or invoice at all. After a dispute on this he agrees to give me my car back. The next morning I look and he has thrown .5-.75" of fiberglass filler on top of the existing damages, makes a piss poor attempt at repainting the back bumper which miraculously looks worse than it did originally. And where the quarter panel was taped off now a totally new area of the sandy clear coat is directly above the b pillar. It's been two weeks and both quarter panels have 1" cracks from the wheel well vertically due to the excessive amounts of filler on the car. I have given up on trying to have him get it right, but after countless dollars spent, time missed from work, and insults from him over text I'm done. I'll have a real paint guy fix his mistakes but I hope after reading this no one else has to deal with his bulls**t like I did. Update: almost two months later (the car hasn't been driven more than 500miles and never in anything but sunny blue skies) the once 1" cracks are now 3" & 4" long and the rust has returned through the paint for the 4th time. read more

I was referred to Jason and Lucky 13 by 904 Powderworx (who also did an AMAZING job on my wheels!), and I'm so glad that I went there!!! Jason has an attention to detail that is second to none. And the best part was I thought my car would be there a few days, and he called the next day to say it was done!!! His paint work is stellar... but he also did some black out work on my cars fake chrome plastic parts and tinted my reflectors and turn signals... and not only do those look PHENOMENAL, but his prices are super reasonable!!!! With 3 drivers under the age of 21, I've been to a few "body shops" in the Jacksonville area. And I must say, when a friend referred me to Lucky 13 Customs, I was a bit skeptical. First of all, I couldn't find one review on it and second, it's tough to find. However, Jason Martin, the owner knows his stuff and does a great job and when he says it's going to be done on this day, it's done and his work on my son's car was spectacular! And the price... a lot less than the estimate that I received from Osteen's off of Atlantic. P.S. Absolutely horrible place to take your vehicle. Talked to Jason about getting some very simple work done and he said he'll have it done in one day. Ended up being a week. When I went to pickup my parts they were broken and completely taken apart so he shoved them in a box and said sorry and tried to charge me full price. Took my RV there. He promised me it would turn out great and showed me a sample of how it would look. So sad the end product. I literally cried that I wasted thousands of dollars. I was referred by another body shop. Bringing my car to Custom Lucky 13 was the worst experience ever. I have an antique 1972 VW Kharmann Ghia. I could not believe it when I picked up my car. I asked for several things to be done. One was to touch up chipped spots of paint. They hand mixed this concoction that did not match the lime green color of my car. They applied it with their fingers right in front of me. Unbelievable! I asked them to rust proof the floor which they did by applying this special black paint; however, they didn't do anything in the back seat area so only 50% of the job was completed. I looked it up and this special paint cost $25. I asked them to make the seats slide more easily and they said it was done but not even they could budge them when I showed up. I requested they replace the windshield seal, however, after replacing the seal it was not flush against the glass and stood out approximately ¾ inch. He said it would correct itself when it became hotter and if it did not then he would send someone out to fix it in one month. Well, I called him and he gave me the name of the contractor who did the work. I called and called both contractor and Lucky 13 and neither would return my calls. They did replace the generator belt. They, also, replaced some hoses which I did not ask them to do. All to the tune of $1600. Major Rip off read more
