If you are looking for something better than a hardware store box kitchen (which would be fine in some circumstances, but sometimes you need something a little extra), this is a good place to look. Their displays are beautiful, and incorporate good use of space. It's those little, finishing touches that make such a big difference, such as: access to the back of a cabinet that divides rooms, like an island, or an L-shaped counter where the back is exposed to another room. We are looking for some way to add a little more storage to our house, specifically the kitchen, without losing the integrity of the space. We wandered around Laurysen looking for ideas; it would be very tempting to replace the kitchen entirely! I need to go back again, to look at the selection in the lower level. This is an excellent show room for anyone who likes to see things in person, as opposed to shopping from a catalogue.

The designer was fantastic and the functionality of our renovated kitchen is top notch…read more Unfortunately, Laurysen has been installing my kitchen for 7 weeks (it was supposed to take 2 days), and there are still a number of outstanding items ... with NO end in sight. Heck, I still don't have the correct nobs on my drawers (and I had NO nobs until I got pissy and they sent someone out to slap random handles on until they can get their act together)! Multiple days taken off work - and at times, for some guy to come out and literally do nothing ... seriously. Nothing. I would expect this from a low budget company, but Laurysen isn't cheap. 60% down payment over 5 moths ago to get it all started, and they WOULD NOT even unload the cabinets from the truck upon delivery without the next 30% deposit. I haven't even mentioned the 3 garbage cans (which I filled) of material that was left in my garage after installation. Love the look of the kitchen, but in hindsight, I would have negotiated the payment plan better to withhold 20-30% of final payment ... that might actually motivate this company to be a little more punctual with finishing its job.

It's a testament that this isn't their first rodeo, as the saying goes. Our old couch, that has gotten a lot of use from 2 kids, and plenty of adult naps was in need of some TLC. Tempting as it is it just put it by the curb, and get something new, the prices of new furniture of similar quality is outrageous, and certainly isn't built as well as what we have now. Fleshers is close to home, the price quoted for the service was very reasonable, and - because this ain't their first rodeo - the turnaround time is insanely fast. That's the difference between them and another company that may be bigger and "better" because of name recognition as a result of marketing and advertising. Word of mouth advertising is where it's at, and has always been a better indication of quality than anything else. Plus, supporting a family owned local business is priceless.

MR KITCHEN We signed a contract to have a new kitchen…read moreinstalled on May 11 2019. It is still not finished. They require the full payment installing the kitchen. But they are in no hurry to complete your kitchen. Here is a short list of the issues with this company. We received a schedule for delivery, installation, inspection by MR Kitchen and the countertop measurement date. The date the countertop company would come in to measure. 1) They barely made the delivery date, I took time off and had to call them to find out what was happening. 2) The installer showed up the next day and installed the kitchen. 3) Once completed we noticed many issues, cracked door, incorrect cabinet placement, wrong size cabinets.... And the list goes on 4) The installer did not follow the plan and we could not even slide our stove in its location. The cabinets were misaligned. 5) The designer did not leave enough room for doors to open so the blind corner baskets cannot slide out as they should. 6) The inspection was scheduled for the next day at approx. 8:00am. No one showed up so I called. 7) The service manager did not know where his inspector was??????????? 8) He never showed up to inspect before the countertop company came to measure. 9) Countertop company came the next day and measured for countertops. 10) I realized the measurements would be bad because the cabinets were not installed according to the plan. I called MR. No one returned my call. 11) I called the countertop company myself and had them put the countertop on hold. 12) Three days later and at the last minute they sent the inspector. They called me at work to say they would be there in 1 hour? Spent 2 hours identifying what had been done wrong. 13) We assumed they would fix it ASAP. WRONG 14) For the next 4 months when they sent technicians to fix, repair or replace, they had the wrong pieces or the wrong size doors or not all the parts... All of them wrote down size of doors and cabinets.... But somehow that information was lost every time. They would come back with mismatched pieces and 1 time with a door that was 1 foot to short. When they noticed the blind corner unit could not slide out the service manager said that that was normal.??? (I have the emails) 15) All they had to do was look at the plan but I think that is to logical. 16) They had no idea from one person to the next what was going on. 17) We are still missing toe kicks because last time they came the piece was 3 feet to short? 18) This was just a taste of what dealing with this company was like.
