BEST EVER Contractor and Designer…read more All I can tell you is that La Villa Luxe is the very best contractor I have ever had!!!!! Zach is such a great person and updated my kitchen to a WOW kitchen! The issues he had to deal with were not a burden to him...he always found a way around to make sure everything worked...EVEN going above and beyond what I contracted him to do! Zach and his team worked within my budget, showed up every day, did perfect work, had incredible patience and transformed my kitchen (Flooring, edging, on top of cabinets. Will be doing the countertops and sink area soon) and bedroom into gorgeous spaces...YES, all within my budget. Zach, the owner is there every step of the way. He is no one you have ever met because not only is he a contractor but also a designer with an amazing eye for design and for what the client wants. If you have any questions, please ask. Or call La Villa Luxe (Zach Zaid) +1 (929) 529-4840. You will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

Zack and the team at LVL are simply amazing. Our job was extensive- most outfits would say to…read moreextensive. Well the crew from LVL has had our house for two and a half months - it was a transformation from the basement to the roof. It is beautiful. The attention to detail, the quality of the work- it is unbeatable. They put in a new French drain system and properly sealed the entire basement, creating additional living space for our teen girls. They replaced all the uneven floors and made the entire home not only much more functional- but breathtakingly gorgeous. The problem is then the left the house unfinished, never completing it. Six months later- their electrical work caused a house fire. Repeated attempts to rectify the issues failed until the owner of LaVillaLux just stopped talking to us altogether. Not the best way to do business. Really sad at the outcome.

Regis and his team at Master Remodelers did two extensive projects for us. When I first contacted…read morethem, I was unprepared for their requirement of payment for a project proposal. Their comprehensive in-house design and build approach was unlike that of other contractors, and their cooperative communication was instrumental in developing and meeting our expectations. They made understanding us and our house equal priorities. They educated us about the condition of the house, brought in an engineer, and designed projects around improving and reinforcing the house. They found and corrected issues created by the house's original builder. They work well coordinating their work with other contractors. With one exception, there were no call-backs. A minor installation error discovered years later was cheerfully and promptly fixed as a warranty item, a reflection on their commitment to their clients. When it came time to sell the house, the quality of their work was a strong draw for the buyers. It drew a crowd. They exemplify how a great team can accomplish great results!

I just wanted to update my review to reflect the fact that I have been harassed by this company…read moreconstantly over the past two months for writing this review. They originally reached out to me asking to take it down. When I refused to do so because I believe that my review reflects my family's experience, the messages kept on coming. At first, she said I shouldn't leave a bad review because I have never dealt with a death in my family (not true & not sure how that is relevant). Then she accused me of writing my review to punish the company and for no other reason. My response was: "Let's be VERY clear here. I'm not "punishing your company". I'm leaving a review of our experience on a site that is meant to leave reviews of people's experiences with different companies. If all owners tried to bully patrons into only leaving good reviews on Yelp... well there would no longer be a Yelp. I'm leaving honest feedback on how it felt to deal with your company. I'm sorry that you don't agree with our assessment, but it's truly how it felt. I'm very glad that we parted ways when we did so that we could work with someone that was much more pleasant to deal with." And she responded back with: "And you reaffirmed ours that "you're not our customer." Because our customers have class." I just wanted everyone to know how this company operates behind the scenes...

#1 choose another contractor to work with. If you do work with them, keep these tips in mind:…read more Read your contract carefully at all iterations before signing, including scope of work line items and sub details. Do not trust what they say or don't say or that any changes you communicate in writing or otherwise will be accurately updated in their contract document. Require advance notice of any labor or materials you, as the customer, are expected to provide. For instance, moving furniture. Or providing paint. They literally came in asking about paint the morning they wanted to start painting when we had been under contract for months waiting for the job to start. Review contract carefully for warranty of labor and repairs, so you don't have to correct poor workmanship shortly after job completion, like applying more than 3 inches of glue to a 3 foot surface.  Require regular walk-throughs to ensure progress aligns with detailed scope of work. Require written update or record of conversations to ensure work discussed and details specified are completed fully and accurately. Ask questions and keep asking even if their reaction is irritation or disinterest. Finally, DON'T be fooled by their responses to critical customer reviews. In hindsight, I expect they are disingenuous at best if not totally inaccurate or misrepresentative. Some contractors are wonderful to work with, will listen and carefully and execute skillfully, providing quality finished product at good value. This is NOT that contractor. Poor communication, poor execution, overpriced and unpleasant to work with.  My suggestion: choose someone else.

We had chosen American Dreamers to complete our bathroom remodel, agreed on a price, and gave them…read morea check for half the amount of the project. There was a 7 month wait to get on their construction schedule. I didn't mind waiting since I was pregnant and we needed time to choose our materials. One day very close to our construction start date, my husband got an email that there was an added cost for a shower door that we chose beyond what was in our initial pricing. We were confused by this since the supplier had us choose one along with our other fixtures, and implied that it was budgeted for in our contract. We later found out that since a shower door is not essential to a "complete bathroom", it was not included. After some confusing (and insulting on their part) emails back and forth, my husband requested a meeting to understand any other potential unforeseen costs in the project. Upon his request, Morgan, the owner, ended up canceling our job without any formal email or phone call. We just got our check back in the mail. She refused to speak to us and the marketing and project directors wouldn't take our calls. This was after 6 months of waiting for our job, causing us to have to go back to the drawing board and devastating us just one week after coming home from the hospital with our newborn baby after a c-section. You may think, well, you got your money back. But we had invested a lot of time with her company. I don't believe requesting a meeting to clarify pricing is cause for dropping a project, in which we had invested a lot of time and money. Morgan is an unethical business owner. Rather than taking 10 minutes out of her day to answer our questions, she insulted our intelligence and canceled our project. Don't let the "woman owned" label for this company fool you. Morgan is just as unprofessional as many other contractors and American Dreamers Renovations is a toxic company.
