Two generations of my family, including myself and two daughters have been patients in his practice. I began seeing Dr Feinberg when he was still working out of his original office in Stratford with his father, who was also a great orthodontist. The orthodontic work that Dr. Feinberg completes is the most advanced and state of the art. He creates a personal plan for each individual patient outlining their course of treatment. Aside from a bad cosmetic result, this left me unable to bite an apple, or a piece of pizza or a sandwich, etc. Everything just folds up under the front overjet. Salad tends to escape as you eat - very embarrassing. The dentist had also ground down a crown, leaving me with an upper tooth that needs to be raised with screws in my jaw, and a tendency to bite the inside of my cheek on that side. Dr. Feinberg is a great orthodontist. He is very professional, his staff is great, his office is modern and immaculate. He explains everything with a great deal of patience and professionalism. He has a lot of experience with Invisalign cases gone wrong ! He also has a wonderful reputation among his peers, which says a lot. I had gone for a second opinion on the advice of a friend who is also a Dentist and Dr. Bilous in Fairfield, another great orthodontist, assured me that his plan was exactly what was needed. She also see a lot of Invisalign cases gone wrong. The lesson is no one should be going to a dentist, even if they call themselves a cosmetic dentist, to have teeth moved. This should only be done by trained orthodontists.

My teenage son finished orthodontic work which took eighteen months. The place is like a factory;…read morean open space where everyone can see the treatment. There is no privacy or confidentiality. There's one dentist to 10 patients at a time. After my son removed his braces, the flimsy retainer broke within 9 days. It took a month to get an appointment for a new retainer. The overall work was not good; I spent over $5000 on my son orthodontic work and I still want a second opinion. To date, the new retainer has broken again and I must call to schedule a new appointment for the retainer and for the six months follow up. I am not looking forward to the mediocre service. I should have check with the better business bureau and other reviews. If I had to do it again, I would avoid this place at all cost.

The hygiene tech that worked with my was kind and understanding, Dr Fatse fixed my 2 cavities painlessly in less than 15 minutes!! He made sure everything felt right and didn't rush through. Dr. Opin charted a plan with my dentist and a surgeon and thus began a 2.5 year journey to help me smile for the first time in picture. In 2018, I returned with my 11 year old daughter and Dr. Perry and Dr. Gary (who had been a resident when I started) remembered me and made a great plan for her. Before my first daughter was done it was our youngest daughter's turn, and then before she was done my wife also became a patient. Thanks to the Drs. Opin our family have wonderful smiles, great memories, and highest recommendations for this practice. Not only are the doctors amazing but every single staff member is kind, enthusiastic and they do everything in their power to make sure the details are covered. I brought my child to this practice a year or so ago because of their surgical availability. The experience I had with my child getting some fillings done was excellent. The follow up in the Bridgeport office? Again, excellent. This review is strictly for the Shelton office. That office cares more about legal liability and billing than they do about your child. I have serious reservations about unnecessary dental procedures for my child. With all of the information coming out about fluoride, as a concerned mother, I have opted out of fluoride for my child...no biggie but if you are the same, be warned - their only concern is that they are the "experts" and you are moron who drools on yourself. They were condescending when I brought up my concern and made me sign a waiver to remove their legal liability. OK. Strike One. At our most recent visit, the hygienist explained that it is standard to X-ray your child (even if there is no concern) at the age my child is. I explained I am not ok with exposing my child to radiation unless it is absolutely necessary. This time I was again given a waiver and condescension. Strike two. There will be no strike three. I will not be bringing my precious child back to a place that places billing for unnecessary X-rays and avoiding legal liability above the well being of my child and I do not think any other parent should either. If there is an issue with any child because of the fluoride THEY RECOMMEND I hope they get sued into oblivion. After COVID these "experts" can go pound sand. A piece of paper does NOT make you smarter or better read than the rest of us. Treat parents with the respect the deserve or go into another business. These people make me sick.
