The vehicle involved was a 2009 Ford Escape. My son, a new and inexperienced vehicle owner,…read moreattended this location for a routine oil change and relied entirely on the guidance of the service staff. Despite this being an older vehicle with no manufacturer requirement for premium oil, he was sold an "Ultra Premium Oil Package" at a cost of $179.99, resulting in a total invoice of $216.93. Ford does not recommend or require premium oil for this vehicle; a standard conventional or synthetic-blend 5W-20 oil change would have been fully appropriate. At no point was my son clearly informed that this premium oil was optional or unnecessary. He was led to believe it was recommended or required. Given his inexperience, this represents improper upselling and a lack of informed consent. I am not disputing that an oil change was performed. I am disputing the appropriateness of the oil package sold, the manner in which it was presented, and the excessive cost charged. As well, My son texted me while he was there and said the tech told him the Transmission was leaking very bad and needed to be repaired. I texted my son back and told him to have the tech show him the dipstick level. The tech did not show the level but had a picture on his phone that showed a dark, rusty colour liquid and was told there were metal fragments in the liquid. I advised my son to decline and we could look into this when he got home. When he got home I made sure the engine was warm and checked the level. It was still at full and clear. A bad leak would have shown a low level (we also do not have fluid marks on the driveway). When I called to enquire, the tech remembered and said he only presents options and my son chose the more expensive option on his own (my son disputes this and said they really pushed the more expensive due to the age of the vehicle and was told it was needed). He clearly did not tell the truth. I asked him what exactly he would do to fix the Transmission Leak. He told me he would do a Transmission Flush and add an additive which would stop the presumed leak. I then told him I checked the transmission fluid level and it was clear and full -he hung up on me. I called back and asked why he would hang up on me- I was not raising my voice but stated valid concerns. He said he got another call and was cut off. When I asked for the owners name he said he couldnt give it to me for confidential reasons but directed me to the bill with a phone number and email where I could state my concerns. I emailed and not suprisingly have not heard back.

My daughter requested a standard oil change and was told she needed a premium oil change which cost…read more$180. This is more than I've ever paid for any oil change in my life. He also made it seem like it wasn't an option for her to not have additional work done saying the car wouldn't run. She went in for an oil change and came out with a bill of over $300. When I called to question him he offered to give $20 off next time we returned. Very pushy and definitely took advantage of my daughters lack of experience and kindness.

This shop pasted a safety of a vehicle I bought. When I called they said they'd call back once they…read moretalked to all parties. They never did. I called back few days later. Apparently management changed, the tech who signed off on the safety was no longer there. They denied everything they had told me the first day. They told me this guy that sold me the vehicle brings in at least two vehicles a month for safety. When I called the second time they mistakened me for different vehicle for the same issue, a supposed passed safety. Clearly something is going on in this shop. I wouldn't trust buying another vehicle that was safetied by this shop.

This shop is a scam. Do not take your car here. I took my car in for a safety and was advised my…read morecar failed due to needing brakes and rotors all the way around. I let them know the fronts had already been done, they told me they still fail. Yes the backs needed it. My car has expensive front rotors and pads....as it has 6 piston brembo brakes. after having the reception talk to the mechanic multiple times during our talk they insisted it failed. Went in for an in person inspection and then the Owner/mechanic said the receptionist was wrong...poor girl it was clearly not her doing this. Took my car out of there and went to another shop for the safety....and surprise it passed no problem. Saved myself more than $5000.00. My rating is obviously zero. My daughter took her 2010 Chevy Equinox for oil change. She was charged $132…read more 1) SIGNATURE SERVICE FULL SYNTHETIC 109.99 2) -40 PREMIUM WASHER FLUID 3.47 3) 4450 RECYCLING FEE 3.99 In my opinion, this is rip-off. When we take the car to dealership or other repair shops, usually for 5W-30 Synthetic, its around $70. This Jiffy Lube on Dougal charged almost double. This is unacceptable to take advantage of a young and unexperienced person and charge them this amount on money for just oil change. You should be ashamed

Popped in for a quick oil change. While the location sucks…read more(it's very close to a very busy intersection), it is definitely worth the visit. We arrived and had zero wait time...we were ferried into the bay immediately. After preparing a customer profile, and advising of he type of oil i wanted (synthetic), we went into the waiting room. After a short wait time (the shortest wait time I've ever experienced waiting for an oil change) we were told the car was ready. Total cost was just over $160...for synthetic oil, brand name oil filter and air filter. Staff were fantastic....the person I dealt with even recommended a place other than Canadian Tire to purchase a cabin filter. He told us the price get Jiffy Lube charges, then told me to visit the store and if they were more expensive, to come back and purchase it from them. Due to time constraints, I couldn't visitvthe store he recommended, but his price was close to the stores and it was installed. Great place to get an oil change...will definitely go back.
