I was a bit disappointed that the front desk lady did part of my eye exam with my contacts on…read more. even blew air into my contacts WITHOUT noticing I had contacts on.. to me it was very careless even if it was a mistake.. only when I went into the doctor's room did the doctor notice. Another star off because I wanted a contacts lense prescription and not an eyeglasses one...and I had to ask for it instead of him just providing it for me. The good parts were that the doctor was patient, warned me about seeing dots in the air, and giving me his thoughts about circle/coloured lenses.

I have been a patient of Delta Eye Clinic's for 5 months now, and don't plan on going anywhere…read moreelse. My first introduction to them was in June of this year. I had (unbeknownst to me at the time) a swollen cornea and was calling around looking for someone who would see me as a drop-in. Though they were closed at the time I called, someone at Delta Eye Clinic actually called me back when they opened! And that was without me even leaving a message. I have never gotten that kind of treatment from any professional before. But that sums up the level of care this establishment will give patients. I booked an appointment a few hours later, and have been going there repeatedly since. I have been diagnosed with a fairly uncommon eye condition for 9 years now. To date my treatment had involved wearing hard contact lenses. As I was told, that was the optimal way for me to have clear vision, and I was never presented any alternatives from my lens fitter or Ophthalmologists. But after seeing Dr. Jagpal at Delta Eye Clinic, I was presented with alternatives. I found out there were surgical options available to me that could stop the need for hard lenses, or perhaps any lenses at all in my eyes. After 9 years of wearing uncomfortable, hard contact lenses, finding out that information after my first visit was literally life changing. And now 5 short months later, I am on the road to a second chance with my vision. I have had one eye operated on, and the other will be done next year. And it's all thanks to my consultations with Delta Eye Clinic and their referrals to other eye specialists. I am confident I am getting the best care in the world for my eyes now. And I am always including in the decision making process every step of the way. My options are always laid out, but it's up to me to choose what I wish to do. The staff at Delta Eye Clinic is always friendly, courteous, and very professional. There are always reminder calls before appointments, and if followups are needed they can be booked on the spot before you leave your current appointment. That's a huge plus, as in my experience, some clinics won't let you schedule anything more than a week ahead. The bottom line is this: in 5 months with Dr. Jagpal at Delta Eye Clinic, I have had better care and made more progress with my vision than I had in 9 years previously. That's a fact. I highly recommend Delta Eye Clinic to anyone in the lower mainland area.

I've been wearing glasses and contacts for over 15 years now and go for checkups at Southpoint…read moreregularly. Whenever I'm due for a checkup, they perform a set of tests and they're always done in a very relaxing and comforting environment... which is important because having testing done on your eyes (and sometimes really close) can make you a little anxious. My family also has a history of poor eye-sight and eye health which my doctor is aware of, so he always performs additional tests on me aside from the standard set to ensure that there aren't any signs or changes that can lead to the development of any conditions. It's pretty much like visiting a personal trainer and having them create a program that's specifically tailored to you, to give you the results you want and avoid any potential health concerns. Most of the eye conditions in my family don't have preceding symptoms so having routine tests done that can help detect them early on is really important for me. And so far, so good! It's not often (for me anyways!) to find a clinic where you actually enjoy visiting. I feel like I'm in good hands and genuinely cared about. And by the looks of these other reviews.. I'm not the only one!

I needed vision reports filled out for my police applications, and Dr. Ding and his staff helped me out without hesitation! I would highly recommend South Point Optometry for anyone looking for a new optometrist, or if you are looking for an eye checkup!

The worst optometrist I have ever seen.. Dr. Cheng did not introduce himself and was highly…read moreunprofessional and most worrisomely careless. I had to correct him on the prescription! He wrote the sphere for my right eye and my l eye as the same. I knew from previous visits to actual professionals that this was incorrect. I questioned him, he doubled checked it and then rewrote my prescription. When I asked him why he first wrote them both as the same his shrugged and mumbled something. He was dismissive of my questions as to why my eyes hurt and the left one felt sore upon touching. He said he saw nothing wrong and banned me from wearing contacts even though I other doctors have given me the okay. I asked for his opinion on laser eye surgery, including puncal plugs ( I got two different suggestions from two different surgeons) ands very rude and said sure just do what they say. They also made me pay first. I feel bad for the receptionist. Dr. Cheng kept twitching the entire appointment and made me very uncomfortable. He treated me as a nuisance. What a waste of my time, energy and money! I will never return.

My wife went to see Dr. Francis Cheng because one of her eyes has been continuously tearing and…read morethat her glasses prescription may have worsened. My wife told him these issues but he did not address them at all. He said her eye prescription is fine and left it at that. The way his clinic is run is shocking. No questions were asked about COVID symptoms at all. He does not wear gloves. He does not wear his mask properly or securely since it will occasionally drop below his nose and he will not adjust it for a few minutes. His assistants also do not wear gloves when they were examining her and will touch your face with no announcement. My wife could not tell whether he and his staff sanitize their hands. After dilating her eyes, he sent her out of the clinic and told her to come back after 10 - 15 minutes. I find this particular practice unsettling as it puts the patient at a risk at getting injured out in public since patients have their vision temporarily impaired. I would expect an optometrist to have their patients wait in the clinic. His staff simply kick out their patients while their vision is impaired. I wish I could give zero stars.
