I have been to LSO St Luke's only once, for our Office X'mas Party. I have hence not experienced it as a music/concert venue and can only comment on how it feels like to be part of an event hosted there. The rating I have given is from that Perspective.
The façade is imposing, I believe it is an old converted church. It was brilliantly illuminated and looked 'inspiring' from the outside. Interiors let us down a bit, it was huge space, with large round tables arranged neatly each with room for around 10 guests. A small dance floor and a DJ sat next to it. A small bar on the side completed the set-up. Oh I forgot a Photo-booth where once can take funny pictures with props!
Now, what I don't know is if the staff and caterers were part of LSO but most likely they were not. Potentially, the only thing LSO provided would have been the venue/space and all other stuff might have been arranged separately.
Potentially, based on what I read in the other reviews, a musical experience might be amazing and different at St Luke's but as a venue for a private event e.g. a Office Party, it is just a big nice space but doesn't provide any other benefits in my view. It would be extraordinary venue if LSO shows for a private concert but I guess it is asking for too much :-)
LSO St Luke's is near the Old Street Station and is a short walk away so quite easily reachable. read more
