If found about LSAT Wiz surfing the web. As a undergraduate student, with a low score on her initial LSAT practice exams, I knew I needed top quality One-on-One tutoring for a great bargain. Examining all the other top LSAT tutoring companies became a little strenuous but I am extremely glad I found LSAT Wiz. I was able to get all of the benefits of a Top LSAT tutoring company at almost half the price. With LSAT Wiz's lower prices I was able to purchase more tutoring time than I would have at Kaplan or Princeton. My personal tutor Ryan helped me out a lot. He was very clear in helping me understand the reading comprehension and logical reasoning. He was around my age which helped out a lot. What I had the most trouble with was those Blasted logic games and Ryan broke the logic game mechanisms down to a science! Because he was my peer he was also able to relate the questions to me in a more modern and sensible fashion. He even used the Red Hot Chili Peppers as an example to help me understand, lol. Although, Ryan was a good tutor he did always remind me that I had to put a lot of study time outside of our tutoring sessions if I wanted to get a higher score. Reuven is an amazing LSAT tutor. I previously took a mass market test prep course and received dismal test results. After a few days of searching online, I came across The LSAT Wiz (Reuven). Reuven had great reviews and after 4 months of test prep with him I can see why. He does not use phony gimmicks, but rather teaches you the concept of formal logic from the ground up. He also has proprietary material (which I haven't seen elsewhere) that provides an in-depth explanation of each question type one can expect to see on the LSAT. After he's sure you have a thorough understanding of the fundamentals, he'll provide you with customized material & drill questions for each question type based on difficulty level. My biggest hiccup was with the Logical Reasoning section so we started there. Each week, I received an email with homework for each day which was very helpful when studying and planning. From the beginning to the end of tutoring my score increased significantly. I started in the low 150's and was testing in the high 160's towards the end. Reuven is very down to earth, funny, and extremely flexible with scheduling which was important to me since I work a full-time job and had to travel out of town occasionally. Reuven is by far the best tutor available. I came in very low, to a point where I probably wouldn't have gotten into any law school. I ended up taking a couple of Kaplan classes prior and I never saw any real improvement in my scores. But, in just about 1 month with Reuven, I was able to increase my score by 10 points and am now given a chance to get into an accredited law school. I have never done a review on behalf of others, but I have known both my friends my whole life, and since they expressed such enthusiasm, it seemed only right to spread the word about a tutoring company that could really help many individuals who want to attend law school. They both proclaimed that LSAT wiz is an incredible LSAT tutoring company. Reuven, the founder, is able to cater to any individual. One of my friends was signed up with Kaplan and was significantly struggling to raise his score. Whatever Reuven did enabled my friend to raise his LSAT score by 22 points (now going to NYU Law school)! My other friend was able to get into his top law school choice (Duke University). I remember the bleak days when I was scoring 151 on practice tests, but LSAT Wiz helped me score a 164 on the real LSAT! They also helped me through the whole application process--picking schools, writing personal statements, writing essay addendums explaining past mistakes (bad grades; academic probation). Now I've gotten accepted into Tier 1 schools (even a Top 25) and gotten scholarship offers. I met with the LSAT Wiz tutor twice a week for a period of 4 months. Not only are their rates super cheap compared to the big LSAT tutoring companies, but I was able to get the tutoring specified towards my needs. I think everybody learns in different ways, and that each prospective test taker has different strengths and weaknesses related to the LSAT material. So I found one-on-one tutoring to be way better than those big group sessions. My LSAT Wiz tutor always knew how to make the topic interesting to me--even when it really was not (for ex. logic games, uggghhh). He had a good memory and kept track of my hobbies, interests, and personality quirks, and would explain things in a way that related it to those. I loved the way he taught. It made me really grasp the underlying concepts behind the logical reasoning section for example. I started to get how the test worked, what kind of questions, methodology, and types of logic. Plus, my tutor was a cool guy and it helps to learn from someone who you get along with. And it was convenient (fellow New Yorkers, I know you can relate!)..instead of lugging it over to some classroom he met me wherever I wanted..half a block from my work, half a block from my grad school, 5 min walk from my apartment, a couple blocks from the park where I was gonna go hang out with friends after the tutoring session. I studied for the LSAT on my own for a month until I caved and researched tutoring options. Could I have studied on my own for the remaining 4 months until the test or even went with one of the big tutoring companies? Sure. But I really believe that I would have scored in the high 150s at best. Only 6 or 7 point jump? Yeah, but those 6 points are the difference between going to a reputable school with good employment prospects and going to a bottom of the rung crap hole where even the top students struggle to find work. The LSAT Wiz tutor also mentored me through the law schools' application process, especially for the writings (personal statement, addenda, etc.) I slacked off years ago in undergrad and my GPA from then sucks (2.5), but because of my LSAT score and the personal statement and other writings for the admissions applications, I've been accepted into Tier 1 schools (and even a top 25 school), and I've gotten big scholarships. I've got options and schools are competing over me. I just met with admissions officials from a Tier 1 school with great job placement in one of the nation's biggest legal markets. They told me that my writings were exceptional and stood out to them during the review process. Keep in mind folks, when I was in undergrad I was even put on academic probation once for screwing my grades up. But the LSAT Wiz tutor mentored me through the whole writing process, and I explained those things eloquently in addenda. Granted, I have a real reason and passion for going to law school, but I sat down with him and we did revision after revision until my personal statement was solid. My tutoring experience with Ryan Roslyn was great! He helped me to improve my LSAT score 15 points, which is very difficult to do. Because I was already scoring in the high 160s, I wanted to look for a tutor rather than take a class, however I did not want to spend the $150/hour that the big names charged. I found LSAT Wiz online and was so happy! For a much cheaper price, my tutor came to my apartment 6 times during the 3 months before the June test. I was given as many tests that I wanted to take and my tutor really helped me see why I got answers wrong as well as helped me pick up speed on the games section. I found LSAT Wiz on Google for my area. The first thing I really liked about LSAT Wiz is they gave me references for my tutor, Angela, before I committed. Her previous students told me positive things about her teaching, and I had a great experience with her as well! It was evident she had a good grasp on the material and was able to explain the right and wrong answers, as well as teach different attack methods effectively. What I found most helpful with Angela was that she had a good sense of my capabilities. She told me cut and dry what a good target score was for me, and I felt it was an accurate assessment.
