So the labs and the radiology check in processed and procedures are handled very well and very professionally. They generally run on time and observe privacy. The waiting areas are clean. Now let's talk about the ER. I came in by ambulance with an intestinal blockage. They put me SITTING UP in the waiting room (which has no security and smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana). The sitting up position caused already terribly pain to become much worse. Finally, I was taken to the ER and given a comfortable clean room. The nurses were quite professional and kind (OK, the nurses get 5 stars), so I guess I would give the ER 1 star for that. It's diverticulitis and I know this because it's happened before but they run all of the tests needed to make sure. That's fine and good. Before that the doctor has them put morphine into my IV line even though I specifically asked for no opioid pain medication. So, ended up all woozy from that and then she gives me an antibiotic called Cipro (after the tests come back) without talking to me about any of the possible side effects or anything. She prescribed me more pain killers and more Cipro and send me home. My husband got all of the prescriptions and dropped the pain killers in the bin at Walmart. The Cipro gave me terrible hives and tinnitus. So, the diverticulitis is now cleared. The hives have cleared but I'm left hearing what sounds like peeps constantly. I should have been warned. I should have asked, but I should have been warned. I won't let my guard down again. One more thing. There are safer alternatives and medical guidelines now emphasize avoiding fluoroquinolones when safer alternatives exist. I guess the doctor didn't go to that class.

The Belmont location was incredible from start to finish, I sped up the process by completing a form online, waited for less than 10 minutes in a spacious, socially distance-able waiting room, and was met with a smile (through their masks ) every step of the way. Affordable & easy even without insurance. Not only that but I was treated by a DO, who was clearly very knowledgeable in many areas including gyno. They have…read morelined the ER hallways with beds and chairs which isn't ideal, but allows them to keep seeing people. Wait times are long but the staff is doing the best they can. They don't divert people so the ambulances, med flights, and ER walk ins keep coming. Nurses, PAs, Residents, and doctors were all great. She had seen a dentist earlier and had x rays taken but nothing was revealed. Upon checking in and waiting about 20 minutes, Joe ,PA, came in and looked and immediately identified her problem(stone in her gums, and prescribed medication to address her pain and swelling. He also said the first weekday, an ENT doctor will be referred for a visit. I was pleased with the care and most importantly, the quick diagnosis Joe reached. Since we are snowbirds, our primary doctors are South and I would recommend this establishment if in a pinch. Addendum: Joe diagnosed the source and prescribed an effective antibiotic but we never heard back with an ENT referral.

Visiting from California for 2 weddings & to visit sick mother. Husband started having SOB,…read morefatigue, wheezing, edema (swelling) & was brought into cardiac room & hooked-up to heart monitor within 2 mins of entering ER. Nurse came in & explained probable course next Dr visited & ordered BLOODRAW, EKG, chest xray, nebulizer treatments & IV BP medication & by mouth diuertic pill. Once stable & 2 negative blood tests for cardiac enzymes were negative which ruled out heart attach--we were thankfully released with prescriptions called into CVS, xray on CD & all test results in timely manner as they all knew we had to get home to rest before wedding. Entire staff from front desk, nurses, doctor were professional & efficient & thorough while remaining pleasant which kept us @ ease during very scary time (57 yo-1st time feeling this way). They arranged for me to get a slot in surgery that day at Central Maine Medical in Lewiston. At my request they had also tried to get me a slot in surgery at my medical center (Maine Medical, Portland). After waiting for a response for a while from Maine Medical we decided we couldn't wait any longer. The Bridgton emergency room prepared me for transportation to Lewiston. The EMTs/ambulance staff were excellent making me feel comfortable and well looked after. Bridgton emergency room did a great job. I highly recommend them.
