This hospital has more patients than it can handle but I commend the job they are doing. They have lined the ER hallways with beds and chairs which isn't ideal, but allows them to keep seeing people. Wait times are long but the staff is doing the best they can. They don't divert people so the ambulances, med flights, and ER walk ins keep coming. Nurses, PAs, Residents, and doctors were all great. Some of the NAs could use a little bed side manner, but I know they are probably worn out from the high volume. Thank you for taking great care of concord read more

Absolutely horrible. Got here 8 hours ago and still waiting. Emergencies take priority but there weren't any. Have not seen an ambulance show up since I got here. However I've seen 10 people walk out of here since I have been here. All unseen and frustrated. I have only seen two people walk out who I assume were seen. I think that is the way they roll here. Just make people wait long enough, they will get frustrated and leave. Don't bother going to the Concord Hospital ER if you need help. Drive to Boston. You will get seen quicker. read more

For the most part the Doctors and Nurses are awesome But some of the people who answer the phone are rude and disrespectful,I had a situation with my heart,First of all my name is Lawrence McClosky and my heart Doctor is awesome its the rude lady's who answer the phone and Police the calls and appointments like they decide who you talk to and when you see them,Concord Hospital has a Monopoly on the health care in New Hampshire,Which takes away my choice....My heart keeps going in and out of A-Fib and because this is a serious concern, When I try to schedule an appointment,One that is sooner than later I am put off for a month or two....This is crazy.... read more

You're more likely to bleed out in the waiting room with reruns of dancing with the stars playing in the background than seeing an actual doctor. Honestly can't believe they're legally allowed to call themselves a medical facility. You're in for 10+ hours in the ER if they see you at all. read more

The Rheumatologist at this hospital medically discriminates against mental illness and gaslights patients about their symptoms and out of tests and screenings. I have been lied to, discredited, dismissed and failed by this team and due to asking for a 2nd opinion the doctor has decided to no longer treat me and my reversible autoimmune disorder that this doctor diagnosed me with. I am scared and left without guidance and blocked from transferring to the Concord location. I just want to heal and get better. They didn't tell me about an abnormal urinalysis that put me in the ER on New Years Eve and I am still trying to recover from it almost 3 months later. I am at a loss, they aren't communicating with me. read more

I need blood drawn on a specific day of my cycle to check my hormone levels for my family planning, yet their labs are closed on weekends. Nice that they cut budgetary corners in a way that solely impacts women, like the menstrual cycle can pause for the weekend or something. The providers have always been fine, but the administration that decides to reduce care in a way that affects women trying to have a baby and delay progress for what could be months is messed up and sexist. Day 3 of my cycle doesn't mean Monday through Friday. Get it together. read more

I went to the ER. I waited all night and no one in the room got treated. Luckily I felt a little better and decided to go home. I felt so bad for the old people in wheelchairs suffering without care. When I was getting my IV out to leave the nurse told me all the staff left. Whow! Healthcare in America is so broken. read more

This hospital sucks. Not only from the patient's point of view but also from a provider POV. I once attempted to complete a residency here and it was the worst experience of my life. Not only are the members of staff FAT liars (in pharmacy specifically), but they also are unwilling to help you (no matter how much they promise they will do anything to further your careers). I didn't learn anything helpful and couldn't even get letters of recommendation from this bullshit hospital. What a waste of an educational experience. If you can avoid coming here, please do for your safety and wellbeing. I wish I could take them out of the residency match, but I don't have the authority. Good luck and never try and match here :) read more

Take your health care to another facility. There is only a few decent doctors left in that place the CEO Bob steigmeyers makes over 1.5 million annually he does not care about the support staff and it shows. Concord hospital used to be a hospital that you could only get a job there if you knew someone already working there now they can't keep decent staff. High turnover rate = poor quality care. read more

ED aka ER is an absolute joke. I'm sure from being super understaffed but I'm sure this is due to management/ owner. You can tell even staff hates their job. you'd be better off just staying home to die because you won't get any help from coming to the ER unless maybe it's in a body bag as they don't seem to take anyone serious. You might check in but it will take you many many hours to be seenThis seems to be the case regardless of how full or empty the ER is. God I seriously hope i don't find my self in the position to need help from the ER doctors here. read more

Concord admin staff, at least in Gastroenterology, do not rush to provide customer service. referrals out in by the PCP in January 2024, January 2025, and January 2026 sit ignored in whatever queue they have. Phoning in one week after the Jan 2026 referral submission resulted in the clerk deleting previous referrals and telling me to wait another week. Users seeking service might best be advised to see what other options are available first as patient care does not seem to be a Concord priority read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with medical care. I waited over 7 hours in the emergency room and watched multiple people come and go while I remained ignored. I finally left at 11:30 PM--without ever being seen--and by that time, the waiting room was empty. The lack of urgency, communication, and basic human consideration was appalling. Concord Hospital ER should be ashamed of the way they treat people. I would genuinely rather risk my health than ever return to that place. read more

Concord hospital MRI is the most expensive in all of NH! patients beware! Call and find out costs before having imaging performed as an outpatient. They refused to even match the pricing of their own outpatient MRI center associated with their hospital. After reaching out to business office asking for some assistance with this very high bill, they said so sorry for this but there is nothing that can be done. Elliot Hospital, New London, and Dartmouth Hitchcock are much more flexible with their patient assistance with things like this request. Very unhappy. This is gouging and the reason healthcare costs are so high. I have wonderful doctors associated with Concord Hospital but will do everything possible to never go there again for any diagnostics. read more

This place is a death trap. I had the unfortunate opportunity to witness the emergency room ignore many patients including the guy that came in bleeding profusely with a mangled arm until he passed out in the waiting room. They also treated people in the waiting room never bring them into treatment rooms. I'll be willing to bet they charge their insurance for a treatment room though. I arrived at the emergency room at 7 pm and was left in the waiting room for over 6 hours after being triaged with an IV. Never saw a treatment room or doctor just left to rot in the emergency room waiting room and I was there for breathing issues. read more

I'm so sad to report about my experience at the breast care center. I have been since here once before for a mammogram as my mother is a breast cancer survivor, I started doing my screenings early. I checked in, was brought to the back, and the nurse had me get changed. The doctor never came in, instead the receptionist did to let me know the doctor was refusing to see me due to the smell of marijuana. I was so confused because this never happened before I was brought to the clinic by my sister and we drove for 45 minutes. She does not smoke and I did not smoke in her car. they refused to treat me because they believe I had smoked that morning which is insanity to me, especially as my mother is a breast cancer survivor. I was told that the doctor refuses to see anybody that has a smell of lotion, perfume or smoke. I was just there for a regular check in. They wanted me drive back later that day in hopes I wouldn't smell. As a teacher I know the smell lingers and sometimes- it's just the environment you are in. Do NOT come to this clinic for services. on top of all of it- they were rude as HELL! read more

This is for concord hospital in Laconia.. I went for a colonoscopy today which is quite routine. I wasn't concerned with anything because I have had a couple before. The iv was in a little crazy so was uncomfortable but figured it would only be in for a short time. They wheeled me into the room and had a couple of syringes to give medicine with into my iv. They started the colonoscopy and I Felt every single part of it. The nurse said I would not remember any of it. It was the most excruciating pain I had ever felt. No one suggested stopping and trying to give me something so I didn't feel it. They all knew I was feeling it all and did nothing. What is happening to our hospital read more

In October 2023 I went to Concord Hospital ER by ambulance because I was sick and coughing so bad I could hardly breathe. I waited in the ER for 5 hours to be seen. Finally I was taken into a room. The Dr came in, examined me, I got something for the cough, everyone was nice to me, concerned about me. They decided to test me for covid. No worries, I had tested myself and my neighbor/friend had tested me in the past couple of the weeks, both had been negative. But, that's when everything changed. A nurses came in gowned up with a paper for me to sign. I didn't know yet that I had Covid, I thought they were admitting me, so I just signed it. The next thing I know the doctor comes in and tells me I'm being discharged. I told him I was too sick, was unable to take care of myself. He said something about not taking covid home to his three kids because of someone like me. Then they left me alone for a while. I was so sick and confused. I then found out I had covid and pneumonia. I started coughing really bad again, the nurse came in and I asked her if I could have something for the cough. She said she couldn't do anything for me. I asked if the doctor could come back in to see me and she said no, I had been discharged so I was no longer his patient. When I asked how I was getting home I was told they were waiting to get a voucher for me to take a cab home. I had no coat, no cane, no money. The next thing I know they're putting me in a wheelchair. They gave me one of those thin things they call a blanket to put over my shoulders. The nurse wheeled me to the ER and left me. I could barely walk so the receptionist in the ER pushed me out to the cab. The cab took me home. He didn't help me, but said he would wait to make sure I got in to the building all right. So I stumbled my way in, finally got into my apartment, and passed out. I was sick for over a month. If it had not been from my neighbor/friend I probably would've died. She went to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions the ER doctor had prescribed as the cab driver wouldn't do it, he was only paid to take me home. I was sick for over a month, if it had not been from my neighbor/friend, I probably would've died. By the way, I have a serious heart condition, I had open-heart surgery in 2017. And that's how Concord Hospital treated me. I wonder if anyone else who had covid and went to Concord Hospital was treated differently. read more

If I could give 0 stars, believe me, I would. As someone who has seen it from the employee perspective, the blatant disregard for HIPPA, and accountability on staff to uphold it is appalling. Many times staff were witnessed to be on FaceTime or video call while sitting at the nurses station, discussing patients and their care, including full names and diagnosis. Staff were witnessed many times in patients room, supposed to be watching the patient, yet on their phones and even taking photos with sensitive patient information visible. However when all of this was reported, a hostile, and targeted environment ensued, and the staff continued getting away with these actions. The staff are disgustingly overworked, due to lack of staffing, leading to the most burnt out nurses I've ever worked with. Never once was there a shift that began without the outgoing staff feeling overwhelmed and like they are nearly crawling out of the dumpster fire that was their shift. They are underpaid, disregarded by management unless you have tenure, or a friendship with them. The lack of adequate equipment is sad, seeing as the hospital would rather pay to upgrade superficial and benign issues then invest in proper staffing, and better management. I can almost guarantee that if they focused even a minute fraction of second on what their staff are ACTUALLY saying and not just picking and choosing your staff based on a popularity contest your overall patient satisfaction would increase significantly. Stop overworking your staff, and only listening to your employees when it suits management and their narrative. Just do better. read more

Went today with a 4 years old child with diabetes 1, 5 hours later and after going MAMA BEAR we are at another hospital being attended like it should be right now. NO empathy from the staff at all, two girls at the front mean, COLD and not willing to do anything. They even scolded me for saying fuck and getting close to a computer!? It shows how much they care about children in an emergency like that. Everyone was waiting for 5+ hours, I don't mind to wait if it was another situation, I don't mind to be understanding in another situation. Not with the life of my child. I even ask her to be attended on the hallway and NO empathy AT all. Don't ever go there and I hope those 2 girls learn one day to be HUMAN. Or just go and work in finances. PS. We went running to Elliot Hospital in Manchester and he was atended immediately and is stable in a room. read more

I have been treated worse in my life. All levels of staff were rude. Next time I will drive a bit further and go somewhere else.

My mother is recovering from a stroke and was admitted by her rehab facility. No one contacted me from the hospital and I was told I had to come into the hospital to be updated about her condition.( 2.5 hours away) The nurse did not know she had a G-tube (stomach tube) until I told her! My mom was admitted at 8 pm the previous evening. By 5 pm the following day she was still without any nutrition, after 5 pm, still none. The nurse brought the bottle in a just put it on the counter. My mother went over 24 hours without nutrition and in the interim the staff is walking around eating their lunches and passing around candy. The order for my mom's nutition was started on the 24th hour. Her IV providing fluids was pinched and was only fixed because I brought someones attention to it. She needed to go to the bathroom and was told to do it in her pants and they will just clean her up! The staff was generally rude and had no idea what is going on with their patients. No on floor doctor to check in and the nurse is the go between. Patients were slumped over in chairs and lined up in the hall on gernies. A motorcycle accident victim was laying on a gerny for at least a couple of hours before attended to. This hospital is too small for the area and something should be done because the quality of care is terrible! read more

If I could give a zero I would. Seriously miss multiple broken bones, didn't order tropoin test for heart levels. Disorganized, unclean and they talk about hippa and how a dr cant talk until your in a room, but you have to discuss what wrong, your Med and all personal information in public wait room. Then they don't move you to a room they put you in a hallway with other people to discuss all your information covered by Hippa. This is a continuance of my earlier complaint as I still have not heard back from CH. They don't have anyone tending to the patients relations telephone. I've waited almost two months for a referral so I can get in with another doctor!!!! I went to Urgent Care Horseshoe Pond on August 6, 2024 because I was spitting up blood. I was referred to Concord Pulmonary Critical Care Unit. Had an appointment for September 3, 2024. After a 45 minute wait, I met with 'Dr.' Piskorowski. I was not impressed. I asked for a referral. He gave me someone at Elliott Hospital. I went home and read about Elliott. I changed my mind and asked him for a referral to Dartmouth Hitchcock which was not offered to me. It has been over a month and I still have NO REFERRAL from 'Dr.' Piskorowski! They said they would send it out over a week ago. I called yesterday and it still has not been sent! I also have called several times to get my medical records sent to the new doctor which still hasn't been done. After waiting another week, they now tell me I have to fill out a release form because I still haven't gotten a referral from Pulmonary!!!! SPITTING UP BLOOD is not a matter to be ignored and that's all they have done. Just ignored my request for another referral and getting my medical records to me. read more

We ended up at this ER via rescue squad on a weekday. The waiting room was small, cramped, old and completely filled with people. While the initially nursing staff were nice, the wait time of 13 hrs should be considered medical negligence. My elderly mother waited 5 hrs in the Er waiting room and still was not seen. This was in the middle of the day on a weekday. When I asked for an update the Er staff would only say "Your on the waiting list." That is a quote. When my mother arrived, there was only a couple of people in the waiting room. The waiting room didn't start filling up until about 3 hrs into her wait. The LNA taking vitals and checking on people gets 5 stars. She was the only one who was caring to my mother. read more

My husband passed because of the hospital's negligence. He went in with chest pain and the doctor decided he needed a stent. He schedule him, along with others, to have the stent done in the morning! Doctor said he would feel like a new man! He passed during the night! I had a lawsuit that I would have won but I didn't want my kids to have to go through his whole death again with affidavits, etc. I wish now I had gone through with it after my latest visit to the ER. I was in the ER the other day spitting up blood. It was like being in a third world. The ER was being used as a triage. People were being treated in the hall. They were walking around with their urine specimens. You had to state your DOB to everyone at the front desk so everyone in the room heard it. Interviewed at the front desk about symptoms, etc., again, so everyone could hear! Where are our HIPPA RIGHTS??? Waited over three hours to get xray results. Asked if we could go home and wait for results and we could come back if needed. NO ONE called. We called the next morning and they never had a doctor look at the XRay! Was told we had to go back to ER and wait again or go to urgent care! Opted for urgent care. Luckily, I got a good PA. He didn't like the XRay I had gotten TWO years prior at Concord. He did a CT scan and I was diagnosed with pneumonia and a rare lung issue which was missed the first time around! It is absolutely disgusting how Concord handles their patients. They could care less.
