Now being a Manager for the IHG brand for more than 25 years, I find myself pretty picky when it…read morecomes to my hotel stay. Cleanliness is always the first thing I look for, it's what we can control most as a staff employee. Second is service and third is maintenance (condition). Location is right off the interstate. It's next door to Cracker Barrel so walking distance and the Waffle House across street. 7-Eleven is across street as well so not far to go if you need gas. First impression of the hotel is a 5 out of 5! It was clean and modern. They have been upgrading this property from what I could immediately see. I actually thought it was a new hotel. I asked it was 10 years old. Bravo to the crew in keeping this hotel maintained. Service so far is 4.5 out of 5. Nothing stands out as spectacular but certainly they all seem well trained. Rooms actually have a ceiling fan, this is a first I have seen at any of the Holiday brands or any other hotels I have used. Pros: fast service, breakfast area stocked and food cooked properly. Plenty of parking. A park down the road, great area to take a run if you head towards park. Restaurants are all down the side road of hotel. Walmart near by as well as a movie theater. Mall with in 15 minutes of hotel. Cons: we are on the fourth floor and when you walk between bed and dresser it makes a squeaking noise. Doesn't bother me but I bet bothers the person below me. Windows don't open so no fresh air. Not a killer but if hotel was old and not maintained it would be a issue. Wifi is a little slow and Verizon doesn't seem to get great service in the area. Only real complaint: lighting in bathroom not bright enough. So if your putting make up on be careful you maybe putting it on too thick. Towels, I have asked the housekeepers 3 days straight if I can get 4 large towels. I'm in the room while they clean, they say yes. I go back in after they have left and realize they have only given me 3. Now when I do ask they look at me as if they have only prepared to give me 3 and 4 is a problem. Only issue I have been disappointed about. Now I know if I just take my lazy self down stairs I would actually get one.

Staff and Service has been excellent however the facilities need lots of attention. Clean enough however you never know what Will and will not be working from day to day. I am adding photos to this post the out of service signs have been laminated so this must be a regular thing.

One word to describe our experience with Marshall Arts Entertainment..... FANTASTIC!!! After 4…read moremonths in our new home we were ready to host our friends and family. If you enjoy entertaining you know that the host(s) often miss out on the opportunity to socialize. Not this time! Thanks to Marshall Entertainment, we were actually able to spend time with our guests!! Terry and Katrina were the staff members sent over to serve our 20+ guests. They're level of professionalism and attentiveness was truly impressive. In addition to serving, they mixed our 1 signature drink, provided glassware, serving utensils and kept the kitchen clean! AMAZING!! Our guests asked repeatedly, "where did you find these guys?" The party was a success. I wouldn't be surprised if we began to see them at future gatherings hosted by our friends. We'll definitely be using these guys for our next big event!! It isn't easy to get a 5 start review from me but they really earned it! While the business address is Duncanville Marshall Arts had no problem providing services in the North Dallas area.

Disappointing Experience. Proceed With Caution…read more I never expected to write a negative review about a wedding vendor, but our experience with Lashonda was genuinely disappointing, and I believe other couples deserve to know about it, especially if their venue requires them to use her company. We initially contacted Lashonda to inquire about availability, unaware that our venue required us to use her services. When we mentioned that we were considering another vendor, she immediately contacted the venue. Once we understood the policy, we confirmed that we would proceed with her. We acknowledge that we should have clarified the venue's restrictions beforehand, but we were polite and willing to comply. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The contract she sent contained errors that we had to point out, and a simple request to adjust the bartending schedule by 30 minutes turned into a contentious discussion, despite our willingness to pay the full contracted amount. The biggest red flag came when Lashonda called us at approximately 9:45 p.m., raised her voice, and accused us of being difficult clients. She also claimed that our mothers had been repeatedly contacting her, which was completely untrue. After we questioned what she was talking about, she admitted she had confused us with another couple. She never apologized for the mix-up or the way she had spoken to us. During the same call, she also made an unexpected comment about having been to jail over "this stuff," which added to our discomfort. Despite all of this, we proceeded with the booking because the venue required us to use her company and paid the full $450. After taking a week to reconsider, we decided we were no longer comfortable moving forward and requested cancellation 29 days before our wedding. Lashonda initially offered only $175 back. After involving the venue, the refund increased to $225, meaning we lost $225 for a service that will not be provided. We understand that vendors have cancellation policies, and we take responsibility for not clarifying the venue restriction earlier. However, we believe professional communication, accurate contracts, and basic courtesy should be expected, particularly when working with couples planning one of the most important days of their lives. Our advice: Read every contract carefully, confirm the cancellation policy in writing, and pay close attention to how a vendor communicates before committing. Wedding planning is stressful enough without these kinds of issues before the day even arrives. This is our honest experience, and we hope it helps other couples make an informed decision.
