    A to Z Rental in North Haven If I could give 0 stars I…read morewould. I rented a tent , 60 tables and 60 chairs , I ordered white chairs brown came for my grandsons party . The night before the rope snapped during a rain storm, I understand weather can happen. I called the after hours number and both the North Haven and Wallingford office the message box was full , I finally got in touch with John at 6 am on the day of the party . He told me A to Z doesn't fix the tent that he would get in touch with Durant to come out. At 9 am 1 man came but he had to call someone else to come help him the poor guy waited 1 1/2 hours for him to come. They Both work for A to Z not the Durant office . He had to have the other guy pick up rope because he even said this rope has seen better days , it was very worn out. When we got home from church the ten was up but sagging in 3 spots . During our party which the day was beautiful weather the tent started to come down I yelled for my daughter to get out of the tent she was holding the baby. Called John that day he told me to discuss this on Monday. So I went to the store all I can say is the customer service was awful. He got mad at me that I was discussing this in his store so I said if you have a problem with that, take me into your back office and I can discuss it there very very rude. he's telling me that it wasn't his fault. It was the weather, even though I explained to him and showed him pictures of what the tent look like what the rope look like and what his employees even said that the rope should not have been used the next day on the phone. He even told me these tents are prone to fall down really with 60 people that are gonna be sitting under the tent. These tents are prone to fall down the center poles are just sitting on a small block of wood. He said he would give me either $396. 00 off a future Tent rental which I will never work with him again or $196 back off my credit card very unacceptable but he made me sign two forms to release the credit off my card. I don't understand how he is in business with the customer service how rude and how he could even say these tents are prone to fall down. He's lucky no one got hurt absolutely awful company.I will not be back again, and I will tell every single person that might remotely have a need for rentals about this experience. I have so many pictures that I showed him but he didn't care . Email the I got John is such a lier I never said I would take the store credit , and he never said he wouldn't charge me for them to come fix the tent. Customer Doreen Zaino contacted us regarding the 20 x 40 APC tent on contract 10582457, which reportedly collapsed on Saturday 06/06 during a weather event. Initial report was that a corner rope broke during the weather event. Per the contract notes, Durants charges a return fee to set up or adjust an APC tent that has collapsed due to weather. Two Durants employees went to the site on the morning of 06/07 and attempted to re upright the tent. Customer later reported that the tent had collapsed again. Customer came into the store on the morning of 06/08 requesting compensation. I advised her that we would not charge for the attempted reinstallation and that we would review the circumstances before determining whether any refund or credit would be offered. On 06/09, He sent a second attachment for me to sign only because I said I was going to go through my credit card company.
