Great course our league plays there every year. Usually it's on our schedule in early spring and the course is usually a little damp. Love the lay out of the place. Makes you feel like you can score easily, but don't be fooled. You can get yourself in some serious trouble. High handicappers will really like this course because it's easy to see where your ball goes. If you want to shape more of your shots or possibly drive a reachable par4 this course will challenge you to think a bit. Smallish clubhouse, old carts, large practice putting green, beautiful views. Good place lose yourself in your game. Places like this needs to be around. I hope more of the community supports this business. We're losing too many golf courses to warehouses. read more

Rag of a course & $24 for a cart! No sand traps. Looks like they were there at one time but now just low areas with crabgrass. Greens brown around the sides. Only water is on 6 holes from sharing 3 ponds. A lot of dead grass spots on fairways. Clubhouse closed for covid. Card says there are blue tees, but no markers, Just take a guess, lol. read more

A golf course in the most minimal ways only , you can hardly differentiate the fairway from the rough and 0 effort is put in to improve or maintain even standard conditions . Honestly the worst part is the management/staff who has an arrogant know it all attitude and insists on telling you a 30 minute story at every turn . Multiple greens so small or so hard making it impossible to hold shots from over 70 yards. Only worth going here if you don't have any more options and you don't care about quality . read more

Communication is the key to public service. Guy in clubhouse told me to start on 1. Started heading to the tee and a worker told me the front 9 was closed. I told him what the guy in the clubhouse told me and, with a smart*ss attitude, says "I told you its closed". They have 27, so it really wasn't a problem, but I shouldn't have to deal with attitude when I was doing what I was originally told. Once I got started I found the course to be in pretty good shape. It is very playable, and play was enjoyable. Mulling it over whether I will go back. I HATE ATTITUDE! read more

One of the premiere public golf courses in the area! Loyal Oak has a unique 27 hole set-up, spanning three different styles of golf. The first nine has a classic feel, will send you over water, through dog legs and challenge your short game. The second nine isn't for the faint of heart, with some brutal holes that test your ability to hit the long ball. The third nine is meant to test your strategic positioning and ability to get up and down from any terrain. Great for the whole family or a couple of buddies trying to blow off some steam. We were told on the phone that we could play starting at 6:30 as much golf as we could get in before sundown, but after setting up for the tenth hole, someone came out and interrogated us about playing more golf and told us that we had to leave. Not sure where the miscommunication happened but it made for an unpleasant evening. The course is dry and the tee boxes are quite bad in some places. But overall playable and the greens were nicely kept. Better treatment of the golfers would be great. read more

This place has to set the least seen it's better days. For anyone to call this a golf course and actually charge the same rates as legitimate golf courses is shameful. Went there today to play 9 holes - was told senior rates don't apply in the afternoon! Fairways are burned out, full of ruts, mostly clover not grass. Majority of greens are so burned out and cracked makes them impossible to putt. This place should close!!! read more
