What guy doesn't enjoy a trip to Lowes? I have shopped here several times, though I usually go to the one in Edinburg because it's closer to where I live. Today this one was on my path and I needed some mulch for in my flower beds. Today they just happen to have a sale going on: five bags for $10. While I was there eyebrows of the plants and found a couple on clearance that will work great in my yard and replace a couple that didn't make it through the last heat wave. Came to lowes for a replacement associate in Light fixtures was very rude in a rush telling us that whatever is on display is what they have never bothered asking exactly what we were looking for, so once we showed him a pic of what we were looking for he just rolled his eyes and said we are not being "specific" SMH! Supervisor of customer service was very rude. It shows that this specific Lowe's does not care about its customers. The item I was trying to purchase had a under $25 sign directly above a shelf full of the salt bug gun. I take one to the cashier to purchase and was told to see customer service since it rang up regularly price. The customer service supervisor said " It is just a sign and we don't have to honor it" I said that doesn't sound right. She said the sign has a sku so it is not for this item. I said I took a picture on my phone and the sign doesn't have a sku, it is a generic sign. I asked her if she wanted to see the picture and she said no! I asked her how could she even know what sign I am talking about if she would not look at it. I agree that if the sign had a sku there is no issue, but clearly this store is using this legitimate excuse to avoid any responsibility for false advertising. read more

I was in need of a new washer and dryer. placed an order on line because it stated that there were 2 completed set available in Harlingen and then I received a call that only the washer was in stock. Went to another Lowes store in Weslaco after an hour and half decided on a set that they had in stock. when it was delivered the washer was damaged. I called for a replacement and was told they did not have another one until a couple of weeks or so. I can not trust the inventory on line or inventory at the store. The Lowes stores in the valley do not work together, so instead of getting it from the other store themselves i would have to purchase one in one store and then go to another store to complete what I need. read more

Was shopping their for electrical wire, couldn't find anyone to help me. Finally I found someone and ask him for some wire. He asked me to pick up my face covering more to cover my nose, I explained to him I couldn't due to breathing issues he refused me service and told me to leave. Lowe's discriminating against people with breathing issues. Went to McCoy's No issues. Lowe's just lost my contracting business! read more

Have to thank sales representative Vanessa at the Weslaco store returns desk. Vanessa is an excellent example of a Lowe's staff willingness to help a customer. I had purchased an outdoor ceiling fan back in Jan (and extended warranty) that turned out to have a broken glass cover. Vanessa called 2 or her different Lowe's and stayed on line with the other stores for over 25 minutes until she was able to find a replacement ceiling fan. And best of all the ceiling fan was $10.00 cheaper. I was very impressed with Vanessa even when associates at the other stores kept her waiting for over 10 minutes per call. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming until I went to get some paint and Selena I believe her name was. She was not so friendly. She didn't say much, she wouldn't smile, she just had a attitude like she didn't want to be there. A smile goes a long way! the Weslaco Lowes garden dept guys are lazy they only help one customer and ignore the rest. They took the pavers i loaded for another customer saying they were all sold. There were some in the front so I had to reload while 3 guys helped one customer. Other customers had to do their own loading plants, pavers etc. I've been there several times and I was helped only once (by a different person) ignored most of the time while these guys chatted. Ive been there over 5 times this year alone. read more
