Mom & I have been waiting in Lighting for over 20 minutes for someone to help us. She's asked 3 times at the front for assistance. I have actually attempted to call the store but that is the worst phone tree ever. She finally ran someone down & he is now telling her that what she wants is impossible. Can't be done. I was harassed today by an employee named Yates in the parking lot. I visited this Lowe's because they had some dewalt tool kits on sale so I purchased the rest of the kits for our company and it seemed like the employee, which was an older gentleman named Yates, was upset that I did so. It seems as though these Lowe's employees intentionally hide/stock their top shelves with clearance items so that they can purchase them at a discounted cost on their own time and do not list these items for clearance or sale on their own sales floor. Since I knew these items were on clearance, the tool department was upset because they couldn't purchase them for themselves when I came to buy them all. I ended up spending $1500 on 7 dewalt tools sets and the male Employee Yates stalked me to my car to take a picture of my license plate because he was so upset that the pile of tools he was hiding for his own personal gain was found by a paying customer. When I rolled down the window to ask him why he was taking a picture of my vehicle he said it was because he collects "random pictures of vehicles". I called the store manager and spoke to Adam who said he'd handle the situation. I'll be following up with the district manager to make sure this employee is properly dealt with for the creepy/unprofessional behavior. Completely unnecessary to follow a paying customer who is spending a good chunk of change on their merchandise, horrible look for Lowe's as a whole. read more

Delivery is terrible. Placed order, was told it would be delivered the next day The next day they said it it was delayed a day and i would receive between 11:39 and 3:30. At 4:30 stillness delivery. Each time I received a text asking if the date was acceptable; replying yes, a follow-up text was sent indicating a 4-hr window for the delivery. Each time the window passed and had to call them and was informed the delivery was rescheduled typically 1 week later. After the 3rd rescheduling I cancelled the order. I would not recommend the Weaverville Lowe's, after receiving excuses like 'the items were not loaded on the truck' and the classic 'we had issues with our computers'. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Angie that works in customer service at Lowe's. Not only did she order my washing machine, she took care of reimbursing my card after I returned it because it didn't work. This lady is the best thing that happened to Lowe's.She took the time out to call me to ensure me everything was taken care of. She deserves more than a manager pay she needs to be over the whole store. Not only does she provide excellent customer service she trains her employees to do the same. Unfortunately, today I received the very WORST Customer Service I have ever experienced at the Lowe's store in Weaverville, NC. Earlier I checked out through the outside Garden department and when I got home I found that part of our order was left on the checkout counter. I tried calling straight through to the Outside Garden department three times throughout the morning, always with no answer. So the fourth call I tried contacting the Customer Service desk. After a very long wait, all I heard was "Please hold". After another very long wait, someone said "What department?" I tried to explain that I had been trying to contact the garden department but there was no answer. However, the Customer Service rep interrupted me and asked Inside or Outside? I calmly asked her to give me just a moment to explain my problem, but she again cut me off and repeated Inside or Outside? She interrupted me again when I tried to explain my issue. I then asked her to connect me with a manager and she hung up on me. I have never in my life been treated to this terrible attitude of abruptness, unprofessional behavior and overall shoddy Customer Service. read more

Recently Lowes made a campaign to FIRE the store manager James. I watched as Chris, the district manager would drag James all over pointing out issues. This store is the only groundbreaking to turn-key store in the local area. This took several months and during this time the level of service was lousy. No wonder , James was months away from retirement, HWTA message did Lowes send its employees?? I am a Pro and will no longer use Lowes. They have no loyalty nor true care about the customer service! I ordered a dishwasher on 7/24...it was to be delivered on 7/29 after supposedly getting a delivery scheduling call on 7/27 or 7/28. I have called multiple times, often never even having the phone at the store answered. I have been on 17 calls with no resolution. You have a very major problem at Lowe's Weaverville...I have given a small sampling of my experience! If you have a problem at this Lowe's and get connected to Miranda, Spiro, Shayne, or Erica...good luck...and don't ever try to reach God (aka JAMES EDENFIELD, STORE MGR)....even Corporate (I have called them as well when Lowe's would not answer the phone) could not get an answer....this store has major problems! Before you consider purchasing an appliance from the Weaverville, NC Lowes and having them install it please read the story and view the pictures. My widowed mother needed a kitchen range so, considering my long history of buying from Lowes, I bought one from the Weaverville, NC store and set up delivery. About a week later the stove arrived and the installers carried it into the house. They swapped the cord on the appliance and slid it into place. I had also requested that they haul away the old one. The installer confirmed that they were going to remove the old stove and my mother gave them affirmation to do so. Once he got the go-ahead the installer kicked the range as hard as he could and it went crashing down the porch steps, damaging the railing on the way down. Then, later the range and oven stopped working. I attempted to call the store and this is where things really went off the rails. When someone FINALLY answered she said quickly, "Lowes, hold!" and then put me on hold. After 45 minutes on hold I drove to the store, with the phone still connected to their system. When I entered the store there was a line for "returns" and a line for "pickups" then further to the right the customer service desk. I walked to the customer service desk while watching three employees coo'ing over a new baby behind the counter (my phone was still on hold with them and now at 1 hour and 2 minutes.) I continued to be ignored until a young woman approached with an attitude and asked me what I needed. When I told her, she said that I needed to go to the back of the "returns" line. When I protested she rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. I went to the back of the line and waited only to be greeted by the same young lady who then informed me that they can't look up anything after 60 days! I drove on to my mother's house to try to see if I could figure anything out. I looked at the stove and saw a code on the digital display. I confirmed that the oven and the elements on top were completely dead although the display worked and the indicators of the cooktop and oven would light up as if it were working. As I left my mother's house I realized that my phone was STILL connected to the Weaverville Lowes and STILL on hold! I continued to drive all the way back to my home listening to their on-hold music and when I arrived back home I finally disconnected the call (at nearly 3 hours!!!) to call Lowes corporate. I used google to search the code that the stove was displaying to find that it is related to a low voltage situation so I returned to my mother's home the next morning and began testing the breaker and power outlet, which tested fine. When I turned my attention to the stove I found the issue. When the installer hooked up the replacement power cord he left the fasteners on the power bar loose. If you are familiar with electricity you know what this means. The loose connection caused small arcs, overheating and caused a fire. The insulation on one of the wires caught fire and burned off, luckily losing contact before catching the house on fire with my 84 year old mother inside. I stopped by the Weaverville Lowes to inform them of my findings and spoke with manager Anthony who explained that the GM was out that day (convenient don't you think?) He promised to cover this with the GM the next day and told me that the GM would call me soon after he arrived at 12. Of course, in Lowe's customer service fashion, no call. Several days later and still no call from him/her. Anthony called to inform me that he spoke with the delivery coordinator and that "anything could have happened" and suggested that perhaps my elderly mother, who has trouble walking, had slid the range out and tampered with the wiring somehow. He continued to explain to me that they would be doing absolutely nothing to assist in this situation. I told him to please once again tell the GM that I wanted a phone call and still, nothing. I have spent thousands of dollars with Lowes over the past couple of decades. Building materials, appliances, paint, and more. They have always been my "go-to" for just about anything but if this is how they handle something like nearly burning my mother's home down, I will never EVER purchase anything from them again and I would encourage anyone reading this to also go elsewhere. Shop at an Ace! Shop at Home Depot, Shop ANYWHERE other than Lowes and if you have no choice, DO NOT let them install anything!!! Apparently they don't train their installers at all, and you have no idea who might be entering your home and putting you and your family at potential risk. read more

I was looking for garden hose quick disconnects. Normally found in the inside garden department. As lowes frequently moves things around, I went hunting. I went along the wall between inside and outside, looking up each aisle to see if hoses and accessories were there. As I passed down the wall aisle , I saw 2 employees talking to each other, one on a ladder, the other on the floor. As I walked between them , neither asked if I needed help to find something or even acknowledged that I was there. After two more passes through the clueless, I went outside and found, without help, exactly what I wanted. I have been a long time Lowe's shopper as I live 1.2 miles from the Weaverville store and about 10 miles from the nearest Home Depot, but for the last year or so, I find deteriorating service at this store. At least twice, I have been unable to find something I needed, without assistance, of course, then to Ace hardware and found with help, exactly what I needed. There is a picture of the current Lowe's store manager posted adjacent to the exit door. While I go to that store once or twice a week, I have never seen that manager out in the store as I have previous managers of this store. read more

The inventory management system is notoriously inaccurate. I've gotten the sense that the employees hear about it so often that they are frustrated, too. You have about a 50/50 chance that an item will be where their app says it should be. If you can't find it, good luck getting an employee to look for it. I ordered an item online and it was a week later arriving than they said it would. Then, the employee had a hard time finding it because of how online orders are stored. read more

I bought a $1000+ refrigerator on Thursday the 11th. When I picked it up they asked if they could lay it down on its side and I told them no because clearly I need to use it. They looked at each other and decided to get something that could lift the refrigerator into the truck I brought it home and let it sit overnight. I brought it in the next morning plugged it in around noon and left it till the next morning. Everything was cold like it was supposed to be and then Thursday the 18th somethings in the freezer was soggy so I turned the thermostat up thinking maybe "ideal temperature" wasn't cold enough. Friday nothing changed so I changed locations and a couple hours later everything was warm so I took it out on the porch in a cooler since the weather was cold enough thankfully. i tried to reset it and nothing changed i called Saturday the 19th and they told me to call whirlpool so I called and they said to call Lowe's so once again I called and they gave me a sears number. I called back to Lowe's requested a manger and he told me to call the Lowe's warranty company they are closed till Monday. It's only been a week and I have no groceries and no way to store them. I was told to post here hoping Lowe's corporate will see and reach out on a better alternative considering it's only been a couple days after the "48 hour" policy on appliances that conveniently stop working after. This is my first home and my first big purchases that I am making and this will be my last with Lowe's. I will not be getting screwed out of $1000+. read more

I would give 0000. Can anyone give me advice about how to deal with Lowe's in Weaverville, who installed carpet on my stairs September 6th, and left the job incomplete? And also, the installers left holes in the carpet in the room below, and a filthy mess of debris and muddy footprints that took me three hours to clean. Unfortunately, I went for a short walk due to my noise sensitivity, and this was a BIG mistake! When I returned, they had left the job quickly and incomplete. The assistant manager, Spiro, at the Weaverville, Lowes said this should not have happened, and he would talk to the manager, Clint, to see how they could compensate me for this damage. I have called and e-mailed sooooo many times, and have gone to Lowe's and NOTHING has been resolved. The sales person said it would be a "slow" process". What does this mean? (I am a senior citizen and just had another friend die last week .) So I cancelled the installation of hardwood floors in my bedroom because I am afraid of Lowe's doing more damage to my house even though I have already paid for this job and for the wood is stacked in an adjoining bedroom for the last six weeks. Sadly, Lowe's makes a person prepay and there are no refunds. Am I out $2,000? Or do I take the chance of Lowes doing the flooring install? About 6 or 7 years ago I was 100% happy with the hardwood floors Lowe's installed in my living room and hallway. And so I was fully expecting the same professionalism. Every week I called the store through costumer service and finally after a month they said the cabinets had been reordered and "might" be done in early September. Astonishing! I must be invisible! I shop at Lowes all the time. It's the only large building materials / hardware store in my area unless I go to Home Depot. But the service consistency at Home Depot is just as bad. I know you're probably saying, "tell me something I don't know." But today's experience was beyond the pale. I had a simple question to ask someone about maintenance on a major tool I got several years ago. As an experiment, I stood and waited to see if anyone was willing to ask if they could help me. After 15 minutes, nothing. It's as if I was invisible. The old joke about staff at Lowe's scattering like cockroaches applies. When I finally got someone's attention it was a junior trainee. He didn't know the answer to a simple question. He actually suggested taking the Motor apart to figure out how to lubricate it. I purchased at Lowes in Weaverville, NC, store #2634, an in-stock Husqvarna 42" tractor mower and 4-year warranty on 6/9/2018. They had it in the back of the store in a crate but uncrated it and put a "SOLD" sign on it with my name/address/phone on it. As I do not own a trailer, Lowes said the earliest they could deliver it was 6/16/18. Lowes said they'd call me on 6/16/18 with the time of delivery allowing a 2-hour window. On 6/16/18, Lowes called to say they would not be delivering my purchased tractor mower because it was not in stock!!! They sold my paid for tractor mower to another customer!!! I called Lowes customer service at their corporate office to complain and was told my store manager would call me back within 24 hours. It's been a week and no phone call has been made and no tractor mower has been received, however, Lowes credit has already sent me a bill!!! I am completely DISGUSTED by Lowes LACK of professionalism, honesty, care, customer service, etc. My total bill was $1796.50. past experiences have been great. this, most recent, experience, however has been the opposite. phones not working....cant get hold of the store. an extensive order had extensive issues. it took more then 5 deliveries (items were supposed to all be delivered at once) to get the whole order delivered...over 2 months....and counting. they forgot items...they damaged items that had to be returned and reordered...custom items were not as ordered, when delivered and had to be returned and reordered...things were missing from the order..... all while I was unable to contact the store via phone to let them know. I ended up having the best contact being via FACEBOOK MESSENGER, and have no idea who I was talking to, or where they were located. but they got the most done, fastest. read more

We bought a Whirlpool Washing Machine and it lasted EXACTLY 31 days! Lowe's could have traded it out and would not. Whirlpool was just as awful - unwilling to insist that Lowe's bring a new one. No matter what department I tried, it would ring and ring until the girl at customer service would answer, put me on hold for several minutes before being disconnected. I went into Lowe's needing to purchase two ceiling fans. I was approached by a sales associate named Daniel who asked if he could help me. I explained that I needed to purchase two ceiling fans for two different reasons. He listen to my reasons and then showed me fans. I had lots of questions and he patiently had all the answers. After going back-and-forth, I decided on my fans. The gentleman who was installing my ceiling fan ran into a small glitch with the insulation and he had to go to Lowe's for a part. He came back and said a nice man helped him find the part he needed. We later discovered it was Daniel that had also helped him. Thank you Daniel, for being so very nice and helpful when you were just being you!!!!! Lowes, you have a wonderful asset to your company with Daniel. I shop with Lowe's and do not always receive this kind of service or commitment with their employees. I am giving 5 stars because of his excellent service. read more

Lowes is about 25 minutes closer than Home Depot. So I keep finding myself thinking it would be more convenient. What is more convenient is driving somewhere that has customer service. I have disaster after disaster with Lowe's. We ordered something online, two days later it said it was ready to pick up. Pulled up into the slot called the number, nobody picked up. Finally went inside, they can't find the order, then they tell us the order isn't there and out of stock. We waited for over an hour. I ordered flooring from them, their guy didn't show up half the time, I literally returned $10,000 worth of flooring because I was so scared about the experience I would have and needed it done quickly. They didn't return parts of the money they said they would. I ordered blinds from them, 4 months later and guess what, still windows without blinds! Moral of the story is I'm apparently a fool for thinking that they'll be different the next time. It's almost always a disaster! read more

I had both a terrible and a great customer service experience here yesterday. I needed assistance with the weed whacker I had bought from them. I brought the WW to the lawn department and waited until the lawn department employee, "L", was done with a customer and when it was my turn, he told me, "I'll be right back" and then disappeared for another 15 minutes. I waited and waited. I finally went off to find another employeee, who told me "Go back and wait where you were, he'll come back," (even though that 2nd employee didn't appear to be doing anything.) Finally the lawn department employee came back. I asked him to show me which thread the WW needed and how to thread it. He literally told me: 'Do you have a computer? Look it up." When I asked if he could just show me, since I had bought the WW all the way back to the store I had originally bought it at, he responded: "It's against policy for us to touch small engines." Then, when I asked if he could just walk me through it and I would do the actual work, he watched with crossed arms while I struggled with undoing the head (someone had screwed it on very tightly) for about 3 minutes as the line of people waiting got longer. Then he finally said "You need a channel lock to undo that". At this point, he really should have stepped up to the plate and helped me. Or at least been verbally kinder. Or acted less bored. Obviously I was frustrated, I had my small child with me in the shopping cart, I was struggling (overall, the whole weekend I had been trying to accomplish house maintenance). The next customer in line came up and started giving me suggestions on the WW head. Even he could see this employee was the pits. The employee finally looked at me and said I should get someone to help me and turned to the line. Duh, that's why I brought my WW to Lowes. Then the much better experience happened. I went to Customer Serivce and a nice senior employee, Dean, stepped up. He could see I was frustrated and helped me right away. He unscrewed the head of the WW, suggested I use a different system, walked me over to the parts, read the instructions, helped me put the new system on the WW and showed me how to thread it. The first guy saw Dean was helping me and came over and made of show of jumping in to help me. A little too late... I guess he felt guilty seeing that his colleague was being a much better employee. However, L still felt the need to tell Dean that touching small engines wasn't in their policy. Dude.. LEAVE. you are the opposite of helpful. Anyway, I am going to write a letter to Dean's manager to make sure he knows what a gem he has there. read more

I bought a fridge on Sunday, April 2 with the expectation that it would be delivered Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon comes, I call, and the guy says that it would be delivered Thursday. Thursday morning comes along, no call. I call and spend 40 minutes getting the runaround before finally extracting a promise of delivery for Saturday morning. We'll see. Terrible experience at this store. After struggling to find a contractor for a small bathroom gut/renovation and to install flooring in 2 additional rooms, we decided to check with our local Lowes in Weaverville to see how we would fare using their professional installer network and do a start-to-finish renovation. After my husband contacted the store multiple times to try and get a referral for a contractor to come and look at the job, he finally went into the store and spoke to an employee expressing how frustrated he was to keep calling and no one would call him back. The store finally gave him the name and contact info for a project design employee that could supposedly assist us. Again, multiple attempts to contact and finally an appointment was made for this Lowes employee to bring a subcontractor to our home to look at the job. The contractor and Lowes project design employee measured the rooms. We gave specific directions what we wanted removed and replaced and the type materials we wanted to use for replacement. At same time we gave them our budget for the project and was told that seemed doable. The Lowes employee was going out of town the following week (another delay) and let us know we wouldn't be able to touch base again for almost a couple of weeks due to her trip but then we would nail an estimate down, order materials and get job scheduled. Here we are almost a month later to find out that the labor alone is a $1,000 shy of our total budget. Wouldn't you think that a project design specialist and building contractor would be able to measure and look at a job and be able to have a educated idea of the cost and know if they could do it in the ballpark of the budget you give them? I understand materials can change some installation prices but the instructions we gave about what we wanted done never changed due to any material choices we made. Now we are down to the wire to get this done while our kids are out of school and we have to start over after we have wasted a couple of months dealing with Lowes and I have lost countless hours picking out materials just to find out I can afford any of them. I Live in Weaverville and often shop at the store but will use another store out of my way going forward as I don't want the Weaverville Branch to benefit from my business. I had two additional renovation projects planned over the next year and I will not be using the Lowes in Weaverville for so much as the purchase of a screw. I don't think this was the contractor's fault as much as it was the PSI (design consultant) which is a Lowes employee. I never once was able to reach her by phone, I always had to leave messages and wait for a response sometimes days later, which usually was in the form of email not an actual return phone call. read more

I went there 12/2/16 and 12/3/16. I won't be going back there again, which is a shame since they are the closest home improvement store to me. On 12/2 I was in the store for over 90 minutes, and not one associate asked if I needed help, which should have been obvious that I did. I saw one employee practically scuttle away from a lady asking for help and numerous ones walk away from me. One employee did approach me, but I didn't want to bother her as she was on her cell phone. One part of the lumber I was getting was not labeled at all, so I (wrongly) assumed it was the same type as the plywood above it. I realized this when checking out, but since it had been cut there was nothing I could do about getting the wrong and more expensive thickness. At least I learned how to check each piece now - that was the only upside of my trip. I also learned to bring someone with you if you have large sheets of plywood that you'll need help loading into your car, as they won't offer. On 12/3 I ordered a shed online for in-store pickup, thinking it would be a faster process and I wouldn't have to hunt someone down to help me with it. The customer service desk was great and very helpful, and I was told to wait in front of the garden center. After 15 minutes of waiting (yes, I timed it) I was walking back into the store when an associate came to the closed garden center gate and said to me, "I hope you're not waiting on a shed, are you?" After I assured him I was, he replied, "I don't know how we're going to get it in your car." I then reassured him that it would fit, as I had checked the box dimensions. He then informed me it was very heavy, to which I replied that was why I asked for help loading it in my car.
