Lowe's manager Zach saved our bacon when we sailed (literally) into Cape Vincent anchorage with a mechanical issue that needed tools we didn't have aboard. Without an Uber/Lyft/Taxi available anywhere we checked for any area hardware store that offered delivery and found Lowe's. Max told us by phone how to place the order online but online estimated delivery was Sunday by 8pm. We needed the tools ASAP so called again and the team escalated to Zach, the store manager who not only understood the challenging situation we were in, but made a call on our behalf to the delivery service mgmt to make a plea for delivery first thing the next morning and waited on hold for 20 or so minutes while the delivery supervisor found someone who would commit to an early Sunday morning delivery. And even more, Zach called me on Sunday morning as soon as the driver picked up the order and was on the way because we had to get on our dinghy and get to shore to meet him. The driver, Carlos, was also incredible. He called to say he was having trouble finding where to bring the delivery and then drove right down to the dock to get it to us. His delivery photo is going to be pretty funny I'd guess. A bag at the end of a dock! No sooner than we returned by dinghy to our sailboat and gotten the tools aboard, the sky opened up a thunderstorm so we are forever grateful for the timing of the whole process! We got the repair done and were pulling up anchor in a heavy rain by 10:30. We're now making our way through the St Lawrence Thousand Islands region making great time! They have no clue what customer service is. Im not even talking about the employees, they have always been helpful. I had to contact corporate about returning a tiny refrigerator that is still completely packaged like it was in the store. Two days after the 30 days and they wouldn't take it back. I had been back and forth with health procedures over two hours away and wasn't able to return it in time. No budging on their "policy" whatsoever. read more

I have to admit that I haven't been a Lowe's fan, preferring to shop at HD instead. I'd stop by Lowe's for nickel-dime things but HD was my main store. It's just what I've always done, however I have changed loyalties! I am a DIY'er and we are remodeling our bathroom. It is a good challenge and considering what it will cost me, I wanted to ensure that I get the best products at the best price and get the best help and insight with my questions. I initially started searching for products at HD but didnt get much in the way of help or direction. We went to Lowe's and explained the scope of our project and found out that we were eligible for their PRO MVP program. Highly recommend if you own a business. We were treated to some of the best service - across the board by everyone that we interacted with. Starting with Robert Downey Jr ( that is his real name) and Adrianne, Karina, Shane, Fish, and Jared; to a person they were all ready and happy to help. When you're spending several thousand dollars on a project you want to know that someone has your back and will help you. These folks were outstanding and I am now a loyal Lowe's customer, with more projects to come. Thank you Lowe's Team. read more

Idk what has happened with Lowes but their customer service is abominable. We ordered a commercial washer & dryer. Delivered. Damaged. Ordered again (driving over an hour each way for the privilege of correcting their mistake). Delivered. Two dryers, no washer. Damaged while delivered. Again. 0 stars. Went in to buy some plywood. No staff, no help. Finally got help and an employee sent me thru a door to look for a piece of trim. Manager Aspen Walker ran up to me shouting I shouldn't be there. I said no sign and employee sent me. She got mad and told me I had to leave. I said I wanted to pay and get my stuff She refused and called the police on me! Lousy store. Employees tell me management doesn't care about employees and rarely leave their offices. I was disappointed in how Lowe's handled a situation in which we were to have carpeting put in one of our rooms. Understandably, they hire out to do this job, and we were waiting for the contractor to come, July 4th, and then at the eleventh hour, we receive a call that they weren't coming. We had already had everything moved, we had company coming, and we planned everything around this time frame, only to get a call after the time frame that they could not make it. We called Lowe's to see if there was anyone at the store to install a small patch of carpet, but they could not help us. It appears that Lowe's really has too many 'irons in the fire' and cannot help the basic customer. I would recommend locally buying your carpet, and having someone locally put it in. We will also be leaving a low review on Service Pros, who does there carpeting and installation, for the lack of professionalism in this matter. read more

I am a huge fan of Lowe's in 99% of the locations that I have lived in. As a military member I love that they offer discounts for my family. Unfortunately I try to avoid this Lowe's, I go to Cicero or sometimes even HD or Ace. 4 out of 5 visit I end up putting my stuff up and leaving without purchase. As I write this, I have been in line over 25 minutes. I see 14 other customers in line, this is a real time review. I can live with the subpar customer service, I use the app to find my own stuff most of the time. But the majority of the time I am unable to check out and pay for my items so I just leave. If any other store in town had these brackets I would leave again today. read more

I always use this Lowe's. The customer service is normally not good, you will ask them for help and they'll send you to an aisle. I was buying a lightbulb and I was sent to two different aisles from two different employees after I asked for help for figuring out what type of light bulb I needed. Finally, I asked another an employee who was actually doing something so I felt bad. This girl, I can't remember her name but, she ran around trying to find someone who knew more about lightbulbs ( I believe the employee worked in appliances), after she found someone she came back to help me find a lightbulb which wasn't easy. She got a company phone call and was looking hard for my light bulb while ordering appliances. She searched and searched and gave her all to find me the right light bulb and finally got the right one. She was amazing, I wish more Lowe's employees were like this. read more

If your having a difficult day try not to go into Lowe's especially the paint area Melvin the paint guy walked by me several times while I stood at the order desk he proceeded to put away boxes and chat while I waited 20 min .. I finally had to ring the bell for help. read more

Never called to say they were delivering that day delivered one appliance to us then called and said the other was on another truck and would be there in 45 minutes. This was after waiting 4 weeks for them to get them in. Called the store and they had nothing to say that's just the way the computer does it. Your order comes from the store that has it. This store's customer service is terrible. I would recommend trying Home Depot less than a mile away. We've tried them several times for our home needs and each time their customer service with returns/ or trade ins was atrocious. read more

Whoever was working in the garden center today just before 3pm was terribly preoccupied with her phone. I clearly had my infant daughter with me, trying to pick up heavy things and put them into my cart, and she didn't even bother to look at me. Clearly not paying attention. She even didn't offer to have someone come and help me put things into my car, which I've had employees do multiple times. I used to work at Lowe's, and this is not the customer service that I would expect. read more

Completely abysmal experience. Paid for windows back in July and for some reason, in 6 months Lowe's couldn't figure out how to get 8 windows installed. Excuse after excuse as to why it couldn't happen. After multiple phone calls, atleast 25, I finally cancelled the last 2 windows and got a partial refund. Lowe's, if 8 windows stumps you to get them installed, you need to shut your doors. I am done with your lack of being able to take care of a simple task. Well I have called Lowe's probally 10 times and no one has ever returned my call. They tell me 3 times someone has tried to call and I didn't answer and there was no way to leave message. I have an answering machine(no message) caller i.d. on phone and t.v. no number or names that shows Lowe's called. Poor costomer service. They are coming wed.8/8/18 to get washer and 8/9/18 to take dishwasher. After 7 visits to store and 10 costomer service calls. Promised full refund on both. Time will tell. Their word means nothing to me. And kitchen floor and basement floor still wet. Vacuumed with wet vac.. once this is over will never purchase anything from Watertown New York Lowe's again. .I will shop there but, will purchases else where on line. read more

This review is directed to the generator department, because I actually like shopping here for all my construction needs. They simply don't stand by their installers. I have had multiple problems with my generator install : not installed in the agreed upon location(it took them a month to correct this), didn't run on the first weekly test run(they refused to fix this, I hired an outside company), didn't run properly with the first outage (they immediately said it was installed correct and didn't want to look at it, but came out after a week and fixed it), now I noticed the base they installed is falling apart and the unit is becoming out of level (they refuse to address this). I saved about $1,000 going to Lowe's. It would have been money well spent to go with a company that strictly installed generators. Did I mention they were not able to run the propane line ? That cost me an additional $300 plus! The competition was qualified to do that, and they would have installed a proper concrete base ( not pea gravel poured inside a 2x4 frame that was simply set on top of the existing ground). read more
