My husband and I shop ONLY at Lowe's for our home needs such as A/C filters, ceramic cooktop cleaner, fire pit, gas grill, and lately herbs for an herb garden. Why do we shop only here and not at other national home-improvement stores? There are various reasons and the main two are the very organized stores that are set up consistently in an easy to find item way and the very friendly and knowledgeable staff found it every single store we go to.

The cashier wasn't able to pull up my husband's account that was already verified for his military discount and wanted us to take the receipt to Customer Service to get a refund... No sir - not on a busy Sat. When the checkout and Customer Service line is long! Their system has a glitch where it's impacting the ability to pull up my hubs account by his name or telephone number, so I suggested that he login through his Lowes account via the app. To be able to pull up the bar code and this worked & took less than a min. The flowers / herbs / succulents are my favorite part about this place because they have an amazing assortment! I was able to find flowers on clearance from 0.70 to $1/each (YES, please)! Also, I was able to purchase two resin pots for an excellent price. The prices are fantastic if they have items on discount (check their weekly ads) or on clearance, so it's def. worth stopping by!

Yes, I know.....it's a big-box chain retailer, but when people go out of their way to provide over-the-top outstanding customer service, I believe that you owe them a "Thank you". Lowe's is a well-known chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. They were founded almost 70 years ago in a small town in North Carolina, and they've always been my go-to home improvement store for quality appliances, paint, patio furniture, tools, flooring, hardware and more. This particular Lowe's can be found along Hillsborough Avenue at the intersection with Race Track Road. This is the same shopping center that holds a Publix, YouFit, and Cracker Barrel. If you travel just a bit further along Hillsborough Avenue you'll cross the county line into Pinellas County. I took this week off from work to get caught up on a variety of fix-it and painting projects, and stopped at this Lowe's with a list of tools, hardware, paint, and supplies. My first stop was the paint department, and I pulled out the color swatch provided by my girlfriend, explaining that she wanted a bedroom accent wall in this light blue color. The guy punched a few buttons on his magical Harry Potter paint color computer machine, and then squirted out a small sample to show me the finished product. It was right on the money, so I asked for a gallon and a quart. While waiting on the paint he saw my list and offered to help me locate the paint rollers, drip pan, drop cloths, etc. Turns out that he was the manager of this department, and was super helpful with suggestions. Once the paint order was done, he walked me over to the hardware department and introduced me to his buddy who happened to be the hardware department manager. I told him that I was looking for a few odds and ends (drill bits, battery packs, wall fasteners, etc.), and he walked me through his department, showing me the various choices and making some great recommendations. These two guys were fantastic, and I really appreciated all of their expertise and outstanding customer service. It would have been easy to just point me in the right direction, but both of them took the time to walk me down the aisles and then give me some worthwhile advice on the various choices. So now, as I sit here watching the paint dry on the accent wall, I'm typing out a thank you to the associates at this fantastic Lowe's Home Improvement store.

We spent 30 minutes in the store. Not one employee offered to help us or even acknowledged our existence.

Stopped in to get a 2x6 to finish a project at home. Staff here at Lowe's are more helpful and friendly compared to Home Depot.

Good people, my only issue is that they do not enforce mask wearing. I may not go back until they do.

In the front is a small gourmet coffee shop with a variety of pastries. The decor around the property from building to building gives a hometown country feel vibe. The next building is an indoor shop with tons of trinkets to decorate your garden and living space. Then onto the star of the show! The shrubbery, the trees, the succulents, the flowers. There is an indoor glass greenhouse with a variety of plants that thrive in low light and high humidity. When you exit to the outside sculpted walkway, you'll find pops of color that dazzle your eyes. I don't care if I was a carpenter bee or a bumblebee or a killer bee. I would definitely wanna live here.

I know you can shop cheaper at box stores but there is something about people that sell plants that KNOW plants and that weren't just hired to greet you and run a cash register. Bought two palm trees and two plants and was pleased with the price being as good if not better than other small nurseries in the area. I personally prefer a little more service and expertise than cheap when I am making decisions and that's what they offer here. Shrubs, plants and flowers are an investments for your homes curb appeal, I like dealing with someone that wants to help me make the right investments. Thanks David! I'll be back.

BUYER BE WARE On 12/7/21 Chris Walker from DK Farm & Nursery…read morecame out and we reviewed the job together I had multiple things needed to be done. moving, relaying installing new pavers in my back yard, build up side yard with top soil and relaying pavers, trim a hedge, remove 2 over grown Muhly grasses and replace with new 2 Muhly grasses, install a 60' Rubbermaid boarder along beds, remove some yard waste and cut a palm frond that was hitting the roof. I already had the boarder so he instructed me to purchase 6 additional pavers, which l didn't need, and he would supply the grasses and top soil. He was a very personal young man, who assured me that he would personally make sure that the job went right. He sent me an estimate of, $565.64 with only the total for labor without the jobs line itemed out, beyond the pavers. I assumed it was because it was done on his phone it limited him for characters. I realize now that was my mistake, that is give Chris the benefit of the doubt, as we had a long conversation about the project, and how much problems that I was having finding reliable and competent service people/companies. The next day Chris arrived with another young man, who he introduced as Corey and together we went over what the plan was for the boarder and pavers. Right off the bat I knew something was amiss as Chris brought no tools to do the job and used my shovel, sledge hammer, yard clippers, etc., He continually asked me to look at the work and each time I had to come up with suggestions as to what would be better. We came to a stand still as Chris told me he would not remove the dirt that was needed in order to allow the pavers to be recessed into the ground by the board of the patio. Also, he was unable to cut any pavers as he had no tools to do so, to allow for any type of professional finish to the install, see image. Five of the pavers on the pathway along the back yard are not filled in and or not level, so they rock. After 3 or 4 attempts at the side yard install the layout of pavers was finally OK, though the ground was left uneven with multiple small rocks left all over the area. The removal and reinstall of the new grasses were fine. In general, my property was left in a muddy, dis-shoveled mess. During the 2 hours Chris and Corey were here, Corey had continually made glib comments around me. Which I found highly unprofessional for someone on a job site. One of his comments was directed at me personally about my age. I 'm a single older female, and didn't feel comfortable being around the two young men any longer. I was rather confused as to why a service person would be so unprofessional on a job, only to find out that he didn't work for DK but was Chris's personal friend, who is here visiting from Kissimmee. The hedges and fronds were never cut and I didn't bring it up as by this point, I had had enough of Chris and Corey and just wanted them to leave by home. I gave them a check and they left. Beyond the inappropriate comments I was worried that I would be liable for Corey not being a paid employee of DK's if anything were to happen. After they left, I called Chris and told him that I was very unhappy with his work and that he needed to come back and fix it. He wanted to come right back, but I didn't want to have to deal with Corey again so I told him that I would get back to him with other time to come back. I also mentioned about the him not taking care of the hedge or palm frond, he argued with me that that wasn't part of the job as it wasn't listed on the estimate. I pointed out neither was the boarder, or grass install, so how was he able to use the estimate as the point of truth. He became irritated and told me that he did that as a favor, and not part of the job. He did do one thing as gratis, he cut down a small 3 branched planted and placed a couple of pavers for a place for outside trash can. I when back out found even more issues with job, called him back and he wouldn't pick up. I then realized that I was pretty much screwed so I left a message that I canceled the payment and want an adjustment to my bill. The next day I spoke with David Koning the owner the next day, who basically told me that he didn't believe me but Chris that all other labor was a favor i.e., boarder install and install of grasses. I told him that I didn't want Chris back out as he doesn't know what he is doing and I didn't want to have to deal with him and his either lack of knowledge or work ethic again, I would be happy to settled the bill at a reduced payment of $250.00, as I will have to hire someone else to fix the pavers. But he said that I was bound to the signed estimate, also that anyone who showed up to a job was covered under DK and not the home owner and that he was doubtful that I felt intimidated and was just using as an excuse. He told me that there will be legal action if he does receive full payment in 10 days. To be rid of this very unpleasant experience I mailed the full payment and ha
