I am still in shock how poor my experience at the Lowe's in Sanford ME was. I called weekly for 11 weeks to ask about when my garage doors were going to be delivered. They were supposed to be delivered January 13 and still 5 weeks after that date, I had no doors. I finally asked after 11 weeks to speak with a supervisor, so I was put through to Don with the customer service escalation team. Let me just say that Don already had his answer even before I got on the phone to explain my situation. He not only said he couldn't help me figure out a solution, but said he wasn't going to honor the original price I paid for the doors and told me I had to re-order them and wait another 12 weeks for them to be delivered. Why would I ever order anything again from Don and his team at the Lowe's in Sanford??? I never will again. He just lost a $6000 sale and a future customer. read more

We just had the worst customer service experience with Sam the assistant manager here. A customer service rep on the phone said a washer that was delivered yesterday could be returned at the store. We loaded the machine and brought it to the store where Sam refused to honor her associates word, and to make it worse she WALKED AWAY MID CONVERSATION. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! we ordered our 3 piece vanity from Lowes in Sanford, Maine. first we had a young man/ boy who was in training doing the design and ordering. He was unsupervised even though in training and made many mistakes. Then the vanity was 2 months late, it was suppose to be delivered to our house but was sent to the store instead. The staff was so rude, uncaring and unapologetic and did nothing to help... the drawer face on the vanity cabinet on the right is larger than the other two drawers to the left of it.. I called Lowe's and Jessica was VERY rude to us, she said they would do nothing to help so we had to call Kraftmaid ourselves and they are sending us out a new drawer front.. I odered a washer on the Sunday 16th. on Friday 21st the order was ready. so I drove to lowes for the order "pick up' the washer was dented in three places crushed . the manager said no worries we will send you a new one free delivery to your home. 5 days later I called to check on it. No one had a clue about the order or the return. the person on the phone said some one will call you back tomorrow .the next day I get a phone call from a driver that has no idea why he is calling me. they just handed him a number and said call it !! this crew will not finish the order just pass it on to the next employee . can't get a manager on the phone.so I said just cancel the order . the lied and said ok but no one canceled the order. now I have to go stand in line tell my story again. and pray someone will do there job. and give me back my money !!! never again I'm cutting up my lowes pro card. read more

A year ago I made a huge mistake and purchased a door and installation from Lowe's. I order a custom door so to be expected it took some time to come in. When it did come in, in May They tried to install it. It didn't fit properly so they had to make it fit and seal the door up. This is the exterior front door to my house, our main means of coming and going. It took months for the new door to come in. They delivered the door to our house, when they were suppose to deliver it to the store, and it was completely the wrong door. Nothing about it looked like what i had ordered. They came back and picked it up. They then did deliver my door, but they literally put it inside my neighbors house. Again they were never supposed to deliver it to the house it was supposed to go to the store. When the vendor finally comes to install they run out of time and are not able to install the trim. they again put up extra material to seal the door. After many calls and being rescheduled several times they finally come back to install the trim 5 months later. First thing they say is they do not have enough material to install trim. Then they work for 3 hours at my house. when i go outside after they left (the left while i was putting my daughter down for a nap) I noticed the same extra material they had used to seal the door is still there. they just added caulking. They were at my house for 3 hours. and they put caulking on my door. it looks soooo ugly! When i called to ask for a refund after all the issues they put in the request. A week later I called back because i had not heard anything back. They told me the refund was denied and they want to try and fix the issues. We have had two different vendors at the house and both we have had major issues with. I asked that neither vendor return they agreed that was reasonable. Next they say that cant happen because there are no other vendors in the area. I still can not get a refund, and it seems it takes 5+ months to get anyone out every time a work order is put in. Our AC and Heating bill has been higher than normal due to the door issues. Also i have missed many days of work because of this. They say the con compensate for our troubles but it is not worth the entire bill of the door. Honestly - when doing the math, it adds up to more! I will NEVER make this mistake again. We were told it would only take a few minutes for our online order to be brought to the front and it should have. A gentlemen was sent out only to came back 30 minutes later empty handed and no explanation he was sent out yet again but never returned. Another gentleman was sent he was back within 5 minutes with our online order. We waited 45 minutes when it should have taken 5 minutes. Poor management. read more

My wife purchased a grill at the Sanford location as a fathers day present and paid for it to be assembled and delivered. It was delivered on the right day and i was not present. I finally went to put the LPG tank in and found out the braces that support tank was on the wrong side so I could not support the tank properly. We paid to have assembled and delivered correctly. It was not. I called the store and explained that I could not bend over to correct over to correct their mistake. I will not do business with this location again. If Lowes policy is that complicated when it comes to correcting an issue i can see why rating is low. read more

Maybe Hannaford in Wells can show you how to recruit ?Devon tells me ED in plumbing is THE ONLY person in the entire store that can schedule a facet install. What ??? Is that not something you can cross train ? You should because Ed likes to spend 30 minutes talking to each customer and was in no hurry to help me. By the way, Ed tells me Devon can schedule, so I get bounced back and forth and Devon confirms Ed is wrong. Louis now hears the ridiculous scenario and I start to think he will help? Nope. Louis tells me the store is short 60 people which is BS either way. Just returned from a well staffed Home Depot in Biddeford with everything seamlessly taken care of. read more

I went in for their color matching, in the paint department. The first gallon I got, wasn't even close, but I thought, well, it's a mistake, so I was going to absorb that cost and not worry too much about. I went in again, to color match the same piece of siding and this time I bought a sample size to see if it would work. This time the color was very close, so I was happy. When I went back in, to get a gallon, in the same color as the sample; they didn't use the formula on the sticker, they rubbed some on a wooden stir stick and scanned it again. When I got home and started painting, it was the wrong color again!! I have now spent $100 on 2 gallons of paint, both the wrong color! They forgot to give me back my sample I bought, so I called and asked if they still had the sample and talk about re-doing the paint with that exact formula. They had me on hold of 30 minutes, then they hung up. I am now going to the store, see if they have my sample, get refunded for the 2 gallons of wrong color and see if third time is the charm. read more

The worst customer service in the history of business. First I was chastised by a cashier for not knowing what color mulch I needed. unfortunately husband use to take care of it so I had no idea . Than went for a kitchen over 6 weeks still couldn't get a correct planogram or estimate. Than I was reminded they don't need my business Bc they have plenty of other customers, This is the mentality from the top down. Lowe's has gone down hill so bad which is ashamed Bc it use to be a great store.Will not be back until they get training on proper customer service and don't screw you over with kitchen plans.
