If I could give Central Furniture 10 stars I would. Joey in sales and Dale and Bob in service have…read morebeen absolutely wonderful to work with. Joey is very responsive and has been very good to us - when my husband and I renovated and needed several appliances he gave us a great deal and a hassle-free experience from sales and delivery to follow up after the purchase. Some sales people I've worked with have stopped being responsive after the sale was made but not Joey, and for that reason we went right back to him when we needed a washer and dryer the following year. Dale and Bob have both been out for service and I have found that service appointments were very easy to set up, on time, and comprehensive. Both Dale and Bob were a pleasure to work with - they're super friendly, knowledgeable and able to address our issues like true experts. They were great about getting parts ordered, answering questions patiently and just generally going above and beyond to be helpful. We will continue to use Central for all our appliance needs and I recommend them highly!

They were so polite and concerned with my happiness. i had hesitated to spend the money on a new dishwasher at this time but now I am so glad that I did. I have a beautiful new dishwasher in my kitchen, and I feel good about supporting a local family-owned business. Joey was my sales representative, and Bob and Justin did the delivery and installation. I will definitely call them the next time. I need some thing!

My parents (in their 80s) have been using CN Brown for years. That ended today. They ordered oil…read moreon December 4th, were given a December 11th delivery date. On December 10th, they got a call saying the delivery would be delayed to the 12th. On December 12th, they got a call saying it would be delivered on the 13th (today.) After waiting all day and still not seeing a delivery truck, I called CN Brown and was told that their truck broke down and it would likely be at least 5 more days before they could get a delivery to Hollis. If I hadn't called today, I'm not even sure anyone would have reached out to my parents, and I am 100% certain that if I hadn't pressed it on the phone, they never would have shared that it would be at least 4-5 days more before they got the oil delivered. I get that vehicles break down and stuff happens but the lack of communication and transparency is just infuriating. And dangerous--had I not stepped in, my elderly parents would still be waiting for a non-existent oil delivery and very likely would have run out of oil. In December. In Maine. On top of that, when it became apparent to me that my parents were essentially screwed, i expressed my frustration with the customer service rep by telling him I would be sharing this experience with others. At which point he accused me of being threatening. FYI sir: when an unhappy customer warns others about bad service, it's not threatening. It's good old fashioned word-of-mouth and it's the price of doing business.

Gavin states he's not calling driver to go back and we will not have oil delivered!! 3 weeks of waiting and being a customer for 20 yrs and that's how they treat people! im done with them I'll support a local company and never refer this place again!

While looking up the best stops along our roadtrip (day 1: Cambridge MA to Portland ME), Marginal…read moreWay cliff trail walk came up as a beautiful place to stretch one's legs. Parking is either metered at $6.25 an hour, or a lot for the day $20-25 in Ogunquit, ME. Public restrooms available a 5 minute walk from the entrance to the trail. Lots of boutique shops and places to eat lobster rolls if you crave them in Perkins Cove. The stretch we walked was about 1 mile one way. It's narrow but well maintained. You'll pass by many benches along the way for resting and viewing the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean has really calm waves and is remarkably clear green blue with rocky beaches. The autumnal sea breezes are chilly and refreshing! SO glad we walked it!

A hallmark of many a trip to Southern Maine, the Marginal Way is one of those experiences that…read moretruly captures the beauty of the state. I remember walking the Way as a kid during our annual summer vacations to the area, but it wasn't until I was an adult that In fully appreciated it. So what exactly *is* the Marginal Way? Well, it's a man-made path along the coastline of Maine in Ogunquit. There are several hotels that line this coast and provide views as well as their own entrances to the Way, however the general public also has access via an entry path along one of the main streets. There is really not much to do here except walk along the path and take it all in. The sea air, the rocks, the plants - put that phone down and touch some grass! All the while, you can get some steps in - so it's a win win. Overall, Marginal Way is definitely worth checking out - either by tacking it onto your Ogunquit explorations or visiting outright.
