I had asked to have the store manager contact me. Of course, I'm not important enough for the store manager's time, so it was given to a person who identified himself as an asst manager. Interesting conversation since new information was revealed. The person who came was a supervisor from another department? No telling where he was from. The AM said the supervisor for that department was at lunch - that wasn't mentioned at all the whole time I was in the store. The AM said the help button worked at the windows/doors desk on Saturday, but the employee who I was able to flag down said it was inop, probably because of a bad battery. Sounds like the AM was gas lighting. I once again told the store employee that I wanted to talk with the Store manager. He said he would pass it on, like the store manager doesn't want to be bothered with customer service. This isn't getting better, CORPORATE! This is only getting worse. read more

Nasty , angry, abussive customer service rep Kim.B. Irritable and unwilling to help customer service rep Taylor When I approached the desk to ask a question, they were both texting on their phones and ignoring me and a few other customers the came up to the service desk. After some waiting time, Taylor steamed at me with annoyance and aggressively asked "yes?" Kim stood behimd her, making an angry face. I asked for help in the plumbing department. Taylor cut me off mid sentence - "sir! go wait in the isle , I will page someone for you" I went and waited for 10 minute. no one showed up. I came back to the customer service desk. Kim.B was there alone. I waited until she would notice me, it took a minute. then she faces me with a "wrist lock " position and said with anger "Yes!" I started telling her that I was there 10 min ago, asked for an associat's help and no one came. she replied with extreme irrigation again and told me to go back to the isle. When I tried to explain that I was already there , waited for 10 min and no one came , Kim cut me off and started spitting out angry loud nonsense, basic just being abussive. read more

She helped us schedule a fence installation estimate, helped us look for an item that is not in the store, and an item that was there but hard to find. She was super helpful and patient. My wife and I constantly have trouble at this location. A year ago we bought 82 bags of concrete. Could not take it all home at once. When we returned to pick up more that was already purchased it wasn't in the system that we bought it. Try to use lowe's card and half the time they can't find it in the system. I was in the store and went to use the restroom the door to the women's restroom was open because they just finished cleaning and then a man was standing next to the door to the restroom waiting for women to be done to clean again ( which to me was completely unnecessary as they were just cleaned ) . The man then proceeds to come into the restroom while I'm still in there and yells "are you finishing up?" That was not only rude but unsafe to have a man in the women's restroom while I was trying to pee . I also noted before I went into the restroom a woman asking him to leave so she could use it and him refusing ! This man needs to be fired or at the very least take a class on customer service . read more

Ordered and paid for over $4000.00 in fencing on 2/22/19. Still have no fencing and cannot get a call back from the outdoor project manager. We have e-mailed, text messaged, left voice mail and still no response after at least 5 attempts. This Lowe's location is notorious for bad customer service, but the in-store service has gotten better over the last year, so we decided to give it a try. I chose Morganton Lowes to purchase my appliances and other building materials as I remodel my home. I visited the Morganton Lowes during their Labor Day appliance sale this past September. I spent hours looking, reading, reviewing and choosing the four appliances I needed. There was an Labor Day sale going on and if I got a Lowes Advantage card, I would receive a rebate of $50, a 20% coupon off my next purchase (up to $100 value) and since the items were on sale, I agreed. The sales member took my private information, with others waiting behind me, called whoever approves these transactions for this store, and I was approved. The sales member wrote down a 8-10 digit number on a tiny scrap of paper (everything is done electronically EXCEPT for the most important piece of information, that approval #). I was told take the paper, with the number, to the checkout, remind the cashier of the rebate. The sales member informed me the order could be delivered in two days and asked a good time. After loading my cart with more items needed to install the appliances, I went to the checkout and handed the cashier the slip of paper. She rang up my cart items and then added the appliances, but when she used the number given for the approval by, whoever approves these transactions for this store, it did not work. There was already a long line and people were harrumphing at us for taking too long. Apparently, none of the other team members knew how to operate a register as they were all standing around behind the service desk. Sighing was the new impatient sound. The poor lone cashier, repeatedly tried to get it to work. She called for assistance and someone walked her through the procedure but still it would not work. Finally, a higher up team member, came the STILL lone open register and again tried to do the same thing over and over (did I mention I own a retail store) as the cashier had just done for about 10 minutes. I kept asking them to call the poor salesman in appliances who had no idea, he would not be getting his sale and was the only one who could answer the burning question. Approved or not? About 15 minutes had passed and there was now a bigger line of not so happy folks. I finally said, "if you keep trying to do the same thing over and over, and expect a different outcome, we will be here all day." The higher up team member finally called someone via landline phone. She announces from the phone several feet away from the register, that my account had not been approved and was pending. Whaaaat? "Are you kidding?" At this humiliating point, I left the store without buying a thing. Called a immediately the next day to see if I could cancel the card. I could not. My credit report took a hit and the card had been mailed. I waited and waited but no card came in the mail. I called and was told to give it more time. I thought perhaps it went to my old address, drove 1.5 hours to see but no, no card. Called again. I just finally have received this card, 41 days later. I finally went to get my cart and the sale is no longer valid. The rebate is no longer valid and appliances are at full price. I cannot use the 20% off one time purchase coupon because if I buy the appliances now, they are no longer on sale and I will be wasting money. Both corporate (who told me the local store could help, but they could not) and this store, will not honor the sale prices. So I took a credit report hit, would take another if I cancel the card, get no appliances that I have been anxiously waiting to purchase, and no help. I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A RENO LOWES in MORGANTON. I have never before been called ma'am in such a condescending manner, so many times in a span of sixty seconds. I'm a girl in a hardware store, but that doesn't mean that I am unintelligent or incapable of getting what I need. Back off, Danny, and check your attitude. Having carpet installed right now and I pointed out some things that they have done wrong and that they need to correct it. The f#cking installer said that he has been doing this his whole life and that he wasn't going to do what I asked. The floor pad clearly says that ALL punctures are to be covered by waterproof tape. They had stapled it to the floor and didn't cover the staples. He said he wasn't going to and then walked away from me. I had to call his supervisor for AGAIN and have him tell them to fix it. WTF? In what world do you treat a customer like that? I have had a few things installed by Lowe's and had problems EVERY time. I strongly suggest that nobody has anything installed by Lowe's. read more

purchased ceiling fan and a light fixture ask for install. the store personal did fine. the problem started when I was told that it would the next day when I would get call from installer , 3 days no call. went back to store and was given a number to call. Called number and they had no record of my request. Now when the service desk was helping me they would stop and wait on others then get back to me after a long period of time and I had gotten no were I said please give me my money back. they found were I had paid and did give my money back on a gift card as that was what a paid with. ( like at this point I wanted to buy anything ) Not happy with the run around , Never ask for a install again and will pay more from another store to get it done on time and were they don't wait on 2 or more people at the same time. read more
