In store pickup is horrible here. I waited 35 minutes at the counter. Workers kept saying the pickup guy is in the back, he's coming. The self checkout worker told the line of pickup customers to goto customer service. The customer service worker said "if you send another person over here I'm hitting you in your teeth". I finally went to customer service and said I'm going to grab my own package if you don't, I can literally see it. He was huffing and puffing but grabbed it. Never again. read more

Stopped in for one item and left with a cart full. Nice plants and plant food. Got some products for hydrangeas and rhododendrons .. need to make my soil more acidic. I think it's very impressive they provide preferred parking for vets and give a discount. This means alot to our family. They make a point of thanking my husband for his service. Don't ever have contractor work or home delivery done. I waited 6 months for a patio door and storm door because they sent out 4 different contractors to measure. The contractors they use are not professional and they try to talk you into cutting corners because they want to do a quick job. Highly dissatisfied! read more

Bought 2 bags of potting soil for vegetables/flowers which was half price because the bags were torn open - great deal! The employees are always friendly & helpful. Between Home Depot and Lowe's, there are differences, but not enough to force me to one store or the other exclusively. Ten years ago, Lowe's was more consumer-oriented than Home Depot but they're very even now. However, Lowe's periodically has haul-away deals for major appliances. If you've ever tried to move a refrigerator up or down stairs, you'll know that this is worth the wait, especially for old refrigerators. I generally find Lowe's to be welcoming and maybe that it was later in the day on Sunday, no one said anything to me. The employees talked to each other and several passed me, but no one said a thing to me. That seems odd. They had the usual bits and pieces and this location, with a different layout than I've seen elsewhere but once acclimated, I found everything about which I had questions. Is it just me or is carpeting by the square foot deceptive to anyone who remembers flooring by the square yard? Sure, I can multiply by 9 and be shocked, as well as anyone else can. It's just that it seems really generous until I do the math. Update 2015.06.20: I recently received a rude message from someone from Lebanon about how carpeting is still sold by the square yard, and how I'm an idiot for not knowing that. From my screen shot, it seems that it is still sold by the square foot. read more

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator 11-22-2023. Stated making a loud noise 12-19. Had family in for Christmas called them 12-26 they said out of warranty. Promised they would get with Whirlpool and call us back 11-26. No call back. Talked to store manager 11-27. Promised call back. No call back. Spent 3 hours on the phone the 28th. Got directions from Whirlpool on what Lowe's needed to do so they could authorize a new refrigerator. Can't find anyone at Lowe's that's smart enough to figure it out. Don't shop there. read more

I visited the store (Middletown) as I do at least once a week to buy lumber for a weekend project. Constructing a floating deck around a in-ground pool with cement sidewalk. Debbie was helping me, listening to my lumbar needs, she starts typing then Dave jumps in being rude, snarky and giving condescending answers to questions I asked Debbie. Lowes was didn't have the specific lumber needs, Debbie was so overwhelmed with Dave spouting off demands and instructions to Debbie. I was so irritated and confused by Dave's behaviour/ mood that I left the other items I had planned on buying in the chart as I walked to request a conversation with the manager. I purchased my lumbar from Denny's lumbar in Middletown. In Dave's defence Covid 19 and the governor are to blame . I am not in need of the Covid 19 personal opinion run down with a side of bad attitude. Shop local , small business. read more

Don't place an online order for store pickup at the Middletown Lowe's unless you want to wait days to pick it up! This has happened more than once. I keep giving them a second or third chance since this location is the closest but NEVER AGAIN!! I would rather drive an extra 15 miles to have my online order ready for pickup within 30 minutes at the Lebanon store. Middletown Lowe's needs to either hire more staff or retrain their employees!! I have had nothing but trouble at the Middletown Lowe's. Purchased an evergreen tree a few months ago and the tree started turning brown and dying. As they are guaranteed for a year, I took my sales receipt in with a picture of the brown tree. First they said it was only guaranteed for 30 days to which I showed them the tree tag that said guaranteed 1 year. They told me I would have to dig up the tree and return it, which I did (this was the manager that told us this)! Next, today I purchased 20 bags of mulch, was told to pull my truck around to the side and someone would load it for me. Waited 1/2 hour and no one showed up. Kept checking with the sales clerk repeatedly and was told to just wait. Finally, my wife and I started loading it, I am 81 and she is 77. A semi-truck driver saw us struggling and stopped to help. Never again will I shop at this Lowe's. read more

This review is specific to the special ordering and delivery process from Lowe's in South Lebanon. The store itself is stocked and staffed just like every other Lowe's. In the past two years, I've placed two special orders with Lowe's: one for a new fridge and another for 140 concrete pavers for a landscaping project. The fridge order was a disaster. The delivery was late, several days after the promised delivery date, which is a HUGE problem when you're talking about a refrigerator in the summertime. Then when they brought it by, they came four hours earlier than scheduled, so I was still at work. That meant they didn't return until the next day, so I had to take additional time off work. The installer was brusque and insinuated that it was my problem that I wasn't at home when they were there early because they had other deliveries in the area. The sole compensation I received from them to "make it right" when I called and complained was a $25.00 gift card. Nice but inadequate. The second special order never even happened. I ordered 140 pavers to get some landscaping work done before the weather gets too hot. They were to be delivered to the store 10-14 days after the order was placed, and the receipt listed 6/24/14 as tthe anticipated arrival date. As of yesterday, 7/5/14, still no pavers! Tracking them online showed the order was still "in process." We called and were passed from customer service to the department and back to customer service, disconnected twice, and finally gave up and drove to the store. When we arrived, their computer system couldn't be figured out by two staff people to determine if the order had ever even been placed, but they said we should expect them by 7/7/14. Riiiight.... So we cancelled the order. I will not make any further special orders through Lowe's at this site. Staff training and managerial support is tremendously lacking, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere for major purchases. read more

This Lowe's location is terrible. Do not waste your time and take your business to another company. I'm never coming back here again! They sent me an email confirming my order pick up and I get there to find out it has not been picked. I decided it was not a big deal, as I could wait while they gathered the items while I was there. That was a mistake.. Not only did they not pick it, but their CS employee was very rude to me and she had a jackass staff member who works in the lumber department go and pick my items. I'm not even going to waste my time writing about him.. I left after I seen the guy deliberately walking very slow around the store. Joke is on u pal! We ordered two replacement windows over six months ago. It took them three months to get the windows in and then another month before they were installed. During installation there were parts missing and the installer said they would order parts and return. That was two months ago. Still no parts. Never again. read more

I had an issue with a contractor where they tried to upgrade my order without my permission-rather, I had expressly forbid them or the store from upgrading to a smaller water heater that cost more money. The store called me when the contractor tried again, so I left a very direct message for the contractor telling him what size water heater I expected him to show up with. I waited for an hour and 45 minutes during the window the contractor gave me before I called the store. When I called the store, I was immediately told I needed to speak to a manager. The ASSISTANT manager Jeff was rude, dismissive ("you left the contractor a nasty message") and did not care about what I had experienced with this contractor over the last two days. JNN Home Remedies I believe was the contractor, not a real business just some guy named Joe who can't return phone calls, messages, hold up his end of commitments ("I'll call the store and get back to you" results in NO CALL BACK). The store said the contractor refused to come out to my house. Nobody called to tell me this, although I am sure they had known for hours. Jeff was quick to just refund my money, did not care that they lost a customer who just purchased a dishwasher, stove, washing machine, garbage disposal, faucet, and this water heater that got refunded. Poor service from Middletown Lowes. The manager Mindy who issued the refund never once apologized for what I was subjected to by the store or the contractor. They could care less about losing a customer. Bye Middletown Lowes. If I have to go to Lowes I'll drive further to go to a different store. You guys don't get it. read more

Abbreviated version of what I put on my neighborhood Facebook page. Order dishwasher October 28 - The dishwasher is supposed to be installed November 8, but it is not in the store because the dishwasher that that salesman recommended and is on their website doesn't exist. They recommend another dishwasher and order it. The dishwasher comes in about Nov 12. On Nov 16 a Lowe's rep from NC calls and asks how the installation went, but it hasn't been installed, he'll take care of it - I hear nothing from them. I call Lowe's a few days later, installers are on vacation until after Thanksgiving. Nov 29 attempt to install dishwasher, the door is hanging off its hinges and top rack is VISIBLY broken. Dec 13 receive a call from installer, but the dishwasher is not in the store AGAIN. The dishwasher arrives at 3 PM on the day the installer wanted to install it. I go to store to try to get it installed 2 days after it arrived in the store - 11 days later I go into the store to get a refund, this is December 28. The manager asks if they can make me happy by giving me a bigger discount. REALLY?!?!? On December 30 my daughter calls from the same Lowe's, they measured her house for flooring the previous week and lost the measurements. The salesmen know their products...EXTREMELY knowledgeable - it's a shame the management has no organizational skills. read more

After Lowe's sent out a company to look at the problem and discovered it was Lowe's fault, their manager, John, not only reimbursed us for the repair but also the service call. We made the mistake of going to Home Depot for a new sliding door. We had measurement done and lost our 30 bucks. They wouldn't call you back when they say they would. I wasted 2 weeks on them which will not happen again. We went to Lowe's and everything is going like clock work. We get our door this week. It has been a pleasure to work with Lowe's.
