We made the mistake of choosing Lowe's for flooring installation over a local business. Never again. The installers messed up the installation in multiple ways, including covering up HVAC vents. (Thankfully, we caught that mistake.) They threw flooring and trash in our landscaping, stole food, took 1.5 days longer than scheduled, etc. Lowe's also tried to make us pay hundreds of extra dollars for a major screw-up by the installers, which we refused to do. Two months after the original installation, after we spent the holidays in limbo and missed the chance to bid on a house, Lowe's brought in another installer, who actually did a good job. We still had issues with Lowe's lack of communication about supply deliveries and missing supplies. (To reinforce how poor Lowe's communication was even with their own contractors, both installers came in thinking they were fixing a few boards, not taking out and installing a few hundred square feet of flooring.) For all of the crap we went through, which included extra days of missing work, Lowe's offered us $250 in compensation, then $300 as their final offer after we wrote a long letter detailing all of the issues we had experienced, which we had already communicated with them in multiple phone calls and emails. Save yourself the headache, and hire a local company, not Lowe's. (If you do a quick internet search, you'll find that our experience is not uncommon.) read more

I encountered the most knowledgeable and sweetest young man my last visit on October 1st 2023, he was working in the garden section and I was on a search for pumpkins, his name was Taylor at the Lebanon Tn location, great multi tasker and had answers to my many questions , and he was quick on his feet to help me when I asked, it's hard to find good employees these days so to Lowes I would definitely keep him staffed I was kinda having a bad day and he really turned it around with his personality, thanks Taylor hope your future is bright! Manager Shandra went above and beyond to help with an incident. My silly boyfriend was supposed to return an item I had rented before driving back up North. Needless to say he 'forgot' to stop. He wasn't coming back for at least a week and when I called Lowes, I was given a "it's your responsibility" speech. I felt terrible enough and when there was no way my boyfriend could turn around, I called and asked to speak with the Manager to let them know the bad news. Shandra was sweet, helpful and informative. Longer story short...when my boyfriend made it back 5 days later, Ms.Shandra only had me pay for one day late charge. Thank you so much Shandra. I went to use my sons military discount which I have always used at every Lowe's across the country I've been to. Dianne gets all snarled and ignorant about how that's bot how Lowe's works. We were at Lowe's this morning in the garden dept., there was a young blonde male employee and a female employee talking and cutting up. We asked where the sand was located and the young blonde kid said "aisle five in the back". The aisles are not marked, so we asked which one is aisle five and he pointed as he continued to laugh and flirt with the girl employee. We found the sand and it was high up on a rack we could not reach. We went to the front and asked for a manager and the two female checkers looked at us as if there was no manager around. We left. We should have went to Home Depot, one of their employees would have taken us to the sand and made sure we got what we needed, esp since we are senior citizens. read more

I usually love Lowe's. However, DONT ever order anything from this particular Lowe's. I ordered itemson the 8TH. !!!! Spent 900$+ they charged my account and said it would be here the 30th. 30th came and went. No word. I called they hung up in me. I called again no one would pick up. I called the next day stayed on hold for an hour no one came back. I called and spoke to someone finally they took my number and said they would call back. No one ever called back. I went to Lowe's today and took two hours to find my items because someone put them on the sales floor ( how unorganized can you get) it should not have been put on sales floor at all!! Finally after rounding up my items they brought it up front and I questioned because the colors said different. The two girls were all indignant that I should ask to open and make sure that it was correct before I took it home. Luckily the box was just marked incorrectly. This place is a zoo! No one has a clue what they are doing. Oh and get this the girl asked "do you need help loading this?" Well DUH. No little girl I want to struggle for an hour. There was only 2 of the items I needed only the self, I take the 2 and try to find an associate asked one lady she said that I need to go talk to the cashier that's in the lumber section. Get there ask the cashier for her to tell me that I will have to wait. Just tried to buy a LG fridge that they have advertised on line on sale so for $650 off. Turns out they do not have ANY in any of their distribution centers. I got with their Customer Service folks on line and it went from bad to worse. Basically told me u could buy another model for $900 more. Would not offer or give any type resolution other than buy another model. Even told me that it was not advertised so I sent them the link. I have always been a loyal Lowe's customer but I am now questioning that. read more

Lowes managers like to hire the cute little girls. In turn customer service and knowledge suffers. Lowes is very sexist with little girls in tight jeans. Not really what belongs in a business. If I want that, I can go to Hooters, or something along that line. From other reviews the management and inventory of this store is lacking. Yet, Lowes does not hire people with real experience. So, this is an obvious variable. Other times I walk in this store I see kids (employees) walking around talking, but not offering to help customers. Once again, they do not even replenish inventory in a timely fashion. They have been out of a stock lighting item for weeks. Dear Lowe's, you are not doing me a favor, nor are the little girls at the register, by allowing me to spend my money there. read more

I have been a customer of Lowes since this store opened. I went there on 6/26/2016 to get a bid on the items for a large composite deck I am building, i.e deck boards, fasteners, deck railings, and balusters. I had been informed from a previous visit that Lowes would bid out large jobs over $2500 which this will certainly be. I was told I would have to wait at the Pro Desk for an associate to help me. When the associate, Wally, arrived a proceeded to spend the next 15 minutes helping a customer who had just walked into the store. Evidently lumber has become humorous as Wally and the customer had several good laughs about something. After helping the other customer, Wally asked me, "What do you need?" I told him yes that I was the original customer that he was called to assist and that was already standing there before the other gentleman. Wally offered no apology and asked what he could do for me. I explained that I wanted a quote/bid on the materials I needed for the deck. I had previously been there a week earlier to check on the framing materials, but ended up buying from Fakes & Hooker and saving over $100. Wally asked me for my address ad I asked why he needed my address and he then told me that a Deck Design Consultant would have to come to my house to figure out what I needed. I held up the plans and materials list and said I already knew what I needed and I just wanted a quote/bid on the materials. Wally told me a consultant would have to come my house again. At this point, I told him that Fakes & Hooker were bidding on the job as was Home Depot and if he could not take my list and figure out the pricing I had wasted my time coming to Lowes and that I would just go somewhere else. Wally just looked at me and said nothing as I walked out of the store. Later I called the Lowes Customer Service line to relate my experience. The call taker was very helpful and courteous and repeatedly assured me that the store manager would contact me about my experience within 24 hours. Now it has been 2 days with no contact. Again the complaint dept was apologetic and could offer no reason why the store manager had not contacted me. They assured me that I would 'really' get a call from the area manager within 24 hours this time. I'm not holding my breath on this one. read more

Super excited to have signed contract and paid $$$ for bathroom remodel in December 2015 at the Gallatin Tn store, unfortunately its August 2016 and project is not complete- don't even have a shower that can be used. There has been lots of turnover and no accountability. Current word from last person from Lowe's to come out is that a huge portion will have to be ripped out and redone due to faulty work. No work has been completed in months, no current timeline for completion (but they are working on it), and no resoultion for property damage, loss of use, and money spent. Was given a hopeful start date of the 3rd week of September. Not seeing a botched project being given high priority for sure. Hoping for best but getting very frustrated. read more
