Just moved to the area so we are at Lowe's a lot for house needs. We were very impressed by how welcoming the staff are. Today, we had the "lost look" on our face as we scrambled to find a cleaning item. Staff member Joanne noticed our bewildered look and ask to assist us. She is amazing! She was so friendly and helpful. She also told us about Lowes Advantage Card. The item we needed was on the top shelf. The GM, Tim Graff walked by to see if he could assist her to get the item down. While we waited we were approached by another gentleman asking if we needed assistance. We have experienced a consistency of outstanding Customer Service at this location. Lowes online ordering is a joke try to order installation of a microwave. Can't do it online so I just ordered the microwave. Technician told me to call my local store to have it installed the local store Lowe's in Inverness will not install any appliance unless it is purchased through their store. I put in delivery options online to deliver to my son's house. They bring it to my house and didn't read the delivery instructions on top of that. He was two hours late. I'm deleting the Lowes app because it's not worth a crap. read more

This store is one of the most mismanaged stores I've been into. I'm a contractor and a builder and deal with material and home improvement stores all over. Their quantity of products shown on the website rarely matches what's actually in the store. The associates rarely know anything. I don't know how many times I've checked an item and it shows a certain quantity, then I call and some know nothing rep tells me, yeah we got it, only to go to the store and find there's either not enough or none at all. Then when you ask when they'll be getting more, they just say they're not sure. I wish we could get a Home Depot in town! read more

If you've been to one Lowe's Home Improvement, you've been to them all. Like Home Depot, they're all cookie cutter the same. I confess that I'm not a fan of any of these big box store outlets, but they are really difficult to avoid doing business within our present commercial environment. Unlike competing Home Depot I always seem to be able to locate someone to speak with, arrange installations and have generally been able to avoid the horrid hassle of scheduling such installations, putting up with crappy workmanship or no shows. My particular reason for being here on this day was to buy a small inexpensive charcoal cooking grill. Well, they had all sorts but nothing small, really simple or inexpensive that would be suitable for camping. This store needs a new manager and a whole new staff in the appliance department. If you need an appliance GO ELSEWHERE NOW!!! They use a second party installer that could care less about Lowes, Lowes employees and most of all, they could care less about Lowes customers!!! They get a minus six on a scale from one to ten. I've had good and back luck in their garden department. I've had fairly good luck in their tool deparment. And I've always been able to find help in their lumber department - eventually. The same as always. They are following COVID-19 guidelines but not sure about enforcement of masks on customers. They did make an announcement to stay 6 feet apart. Looks like the prices are higher than ever before, but that's probably common to most places right now. They still have not figured out how to locate the 80 lb. bags of cement product out from under a shelf so you can get to it easier. I can't understand why they just don't pull a few pallets out so you can walk around them to get your heavy bags easier like at the Tractor Supply. Most staff are very nice, unfortunatally they are not trained in the area that they work and have no knowledge of the product they are there to assist you with. Sometimes they have exactly what I need but the prices are not good. Today, the Lowes Android App says it has 21/32" Plywood on Halloween day for $21.xx. But I go into the store and it is $40, usual price, and when I get home the app says 21/32"x4x8 is 21.98, but I put it in my cart and the size of the plywood changes to 3/8"x4x8...a big difference in thickness. And at these Gas Prices, I hate wasting my gas to go in when I am being lied to on the App. I have also seen items listed online as In Stock, and when I drive to the store only 15 mins. away, the items are not on the shelf and not in stock. Went back to store to have them fix it and each time I was told I had to come back & speak to someone else. What a total nightmare getting new front doors from Lowe's. We ordered double doors with glass panes way back in March. We were told it would take 6 weeks to get them. Then after they came in to the store we waited another 3 weeks before they could install them. They brought them out to be installed and we had to send them back to be replaced because they were damaged on both sides. As a side note the installers wanted to park their truck on our grass which my husband works very hard to maintain and keep nice. Of course I told them no and they weren't too happy about that. So we waited another 8 weeks this time because in between this time we were told Lowe's no longer supplies doors. They are now ordering thru Home Depot. When they finally brought them out the second time to be installed there were a couple of small dents in them but I decided to accept them since they were around the edges and probably wouldn't show after the screen doors were put up. So they started in tearing our existing doors down and after they were completely off frame and all they proceeded to install the new frame. At that point with a gigantic hole in our house and rain headed our way they came to me and told me that the doors were the wrong size. After calling the store they said they would have to go get a set of doors that would fit and install them temporarily and reorder the ones we wanted a third time. I have to admit I was on the phone looking for someone else who could deliver what we wanted and I did find a company that could deliver in 5-7 days and they had a rep in our area that could come by to measure for himself that same day. I was all set to cancel with Lowe's and get our money back that they've had since March. Then my husband came home and read the riot act to the installers about the fact that they should have measured the doors before tearing ours down. Then after going and getting a set of French doors they came back with the Supervisor of that department and he pled with my husband not to cancel our order and give them a chance to make this right. That man coming out to our home is the only reason we didn't cancel our order that day. While we we waiting for them to return with the temporary doors my husband filed a complaint with the BBB and called Lowe's himself and talked to the highest level manager he could reach at their corporate office. Eventually we were told by the person at corporate that our doors would be in on July 23rd. We got a call the Friday before and now we're being told it will be another 2-3 weeks. They really don't know. They also say they will make it up to us by giving us some sort of break or possibly a refund when this is all over with. So still we wait and this IS their last chance to get it right. read more

I have been here several times before today. I came in today just to get keys made. The key station is located at the paint counter, across from customer service at the front door. The associate at the counter was extremely helpful. I asked for assistance with my key, and she was showed me several keys that would work for my needs. The whole process took a matter of minutes to get 3 keys made. Rather than having to check out at the normal registrars, I was able to pay at customer service. From what I saw, the store was clean and organized. The private parking lot was also clean and cart-free. read more

I order some top soil and other items to be delivered to my home when the item arrived they were wraped in plastic and I did not discover that I was short 5 bags of top soil. The sign on the door says "Wear a Mask" but it is not enforced at all. I would say only half the customers had masks on and only half the staff had a mask covering their nose and mouth. I drive 22 miles (one way) to purchase something simple that any home supply should have and they are out of stock on multiple items. Made the mistake of purchasing vinyl fence from Lowe's inverness and thinking I would have a worry free professional installation using Lowe's installer. The installer used the fence posts as garbage cans. He shoved the protective plastic wrap that was wrapped around the fence pieces down into the empty fence posts as he installed each. Also threw some of the plastic wrap behind the fence. What kind of installer does that instead of cleaning up and removing trash after a job? Fence is not even and straight across the top in places. Fortunately, only a 4' fence and there are, and will have in the future, plantings in front of the fence to hide the fence. Several other issues with install as well. Lowe's Installer - Florida Fence out of Ocala/Tampa - says it is fine as is and Lowe's is supporting the installer so nothing will be corrected. I called Aaron's Fence and Aaron had me send him pictures on email and offered good feedback. Very nice to offer to try to help. Regret using Lowe's because I thought they would back up their product/install and make it right. Won't make that mistake again when I need a new water heater installed or any other new appliance or product installation done. read more

Their I idea of customer service is "go ahead and call corporate they'll only contact us!" I went to them to buy and install new cabinets and counter tops. I also purchased a new microwave, stove, kitchen sink and faucets. They came out and measured cost was $14,000.00. Cabinets came in and are not right due to wrong measurements. So there they sit in the garage. They had already cut all the water pipes in the kitchen. Was a week before I could get the water hooked back up. They still haven't picked up cabinets. No idea when right ones will be delivered or installed. Paid for by the way! I DID NOT swear at them but I was using an angry tone. Will NEVER deal with them again! Home Depot is 1 million times better but it is further away going to Homosassa. I use Lowe's because it's more convenient but I do make special trips to Home Depot more often now. The customer service at Lowe's is beyond horrible. I always thought Lowe's and Home Depot were the same but that is not the case. I purchased a washer and dryer on Thursday, April 20, and they delivered them the next day on Frida, April 21. I did three loads of laundry. Saturday morning I went to go another load and the washer did not work so I called Lowe's and asked to speak with someone in appliances. I was on hold for over 20 minutes so I hung up and called again only to be on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up and asked to speak with customer service who informed me that they were understaffed because someone called out for the day. I asked to speak with a manager so I was directed to Tim, operations manage, who told me someone from the warehouse would call me to schedule redelivery Within 24 hours. On Sunday I had still not received a call so I called Tim back where he frustratedly told me the warehouse would call within 24 to 48 hours and they would surely call me that day. Well, they still haven't called me, today is Tuesday, April 25, so I called Tim and was informed he would be in to work at noon so I left a message with Christine asking Tim to call me back. After 1:30pm I called back and spoke with Jason who told me he would call the warehouse and try to find out what's going on. He called me back at 6:15 and told me they should call me but to call him in the morning and he would provide me all the numbers necessary for the warehouse and delivery. Wednesday morning I called and spoke with Jason who was kind enough to let me complain about the lack of communication and he provided me with the contact numbers I asked for. Interestingly enough the delivery people called me about an hour later and delivered my new washer which still had issues! I spoke again with Jason and Mike who actually came out to my house to help figure out what was wrong. It seems like the hoses were the problem because as soon as new hoses were put on everything worked!! The installer was supposed to change out the hoses, he did not, so it seems like they need to talk with the installation company. Called the store before driving 50 minutes to this location and asked if they could reserve a truck rental for us, they wrote down our name and number after we arrived and went to the customer service the women at the desk tells us they don't even have a truck rental option. Why someone would mess with someone like that or if you don't know go ask and find out don't mislead people, but from what I'm reading this store has horrible customer service. Worst Lowes I've had the displeasure of routinely shopping at. Will be driving 30 minutes out of our way from now on to shop at Home Depot. Overall there are reasonable staff at Inverness, FL Lowes but a few of the front end (registers area) are horrible communicators, listeners, and often very disrespectful. During our last visit as a recent example we grab marked down items from the garden center. The products were sitting together in a cart with the price big and obvious right on the cart itself. All the same items/SKUs. It was actually purposely parked right behind the garden center team members working the registers back there. Two (not one) said yes that they were marked down and that I could take the whole cart, big obvious price stuck to it and all. At checkout (not in garden center) the front end worker, "key holder" then later even the front end "manager on duty" got involved as they didn't believe us nor were willing to simply call the garden center to verify the abnoxioisly large price on the cart. Instead, with their backs turned they talked amongst themselves, ignored everything we were saying. Kept their backed turned the whole time. We were so frustrated we loudly said "it's not worth our time forget about" multiple times, which they also ignored. At this point you can assume I was pretty annoyed. We justed wanted to get our other items purchased and leave. So then by this time I'm increasingly annoyed and talking plenty loud enough (while their backs are still turned and they are still ignoring us and practically insinuating we're liars). I'm then told by the manager "I won't tolerate you talking to my employees like that..." "We're trying to remediate the situation" "We have policies we must follow." What??? All you had to do was: 1) Not assume we are liars and and not treat us as such nor assume we are ill-informed on process, procedure, and reality. 2) Page garden center as I said to do 6x to validate the price was legit straight from their mouth. 3) Let us be in our way. Summary: The front end staff needs some major training on how to handle extremely simple customer scenarios and not create a situation that doesn't exist. Recommendation for others: Bring along a big fat sharpie. While in garden center insist for a team member there to make a slash across the UPC then draw whatever price on EACH ITEM that their heart desires then proceed to checkout in the front. Apparently that is the official "procedurally correct" way. Or..to avoid the horrid, offensive, rude, and poorly trained front end team, just let the awesome people in the garden center ring you up. read more

This store has the worst customer service ever. Never get a straight answer. Came in 3 times to buy a sink and they told me a different story every time. The last time they obviously got some in cause they put one out for display which made 2 displays but yet lied to me and said they didn't get any in. Then said they only have the one display and can't sell it to me. I said you have 2 displays. She said she can't sell them to me. Said they have 4 more coming in but 3 are on hold. I ordered a stove from Lowe's 5 weeks ago. It was one displayed on the floor but not in their inventory. It took 4 weeks to come to the store and a week to deliver. When I received it I discovered a scratch and called to exchange it for a new stove. When the second stove arrived, it was dented so I refused it. When I called the delivery department in Inverness, they told me it would be re-ordered but could not guarantee when a new one would be delivered and suggested that I order a different one one on the floor. When I said no, he told me to keep calling Lowe's to check the arrival of the third stove. Ready to cancel it completely and go to a new store!!! Twice we have went to this store and both times our experiences were horrible. I have never seen such a blatant lack of customer service. The first time we went there, we needed to have them cut us a simple piece of rope. We waited over 30 minutes, after having the help desk page some one to come and assist us, and no one ever showed up. We finally asked to speak to the manager, and the person, who was helping someone else, said he was over there and called out his name and told him we needed his assistance, and he mumbled something about not having time, and turned around and went into an area for employees only. We walked out of the store and swore never to return. We decided it give it another try several months later and ordered a vanity for our bathroom online for store pickup. It was very large and shipped on a pallet. The online desk service rep called multiple times for someone to come and load it for us. After 30 minutes, a young guy with a pallet jack showed up, but he wasn't able to load it because it was turned the wrong way in the loading area. He could not get the jack under the pallet, and it was way too heavy for him to move by himself so that he could. He went to find some help to move the pallet, and after another 20 minutes, he finally showed back up with a guy he found in the garden center. He said no one else would come and help him. We saw multiple people standing around talking to each other, and no one would assist him. He and the guy from the garden center were finally able to push the pallet around so that he could use the jack. Once they got it out to our trailer, we needed some help in pushing it up the ramp. Another person, who supposedly typically helps with this kind of stuff, was walking towards us pushing a shopping cart. The guys asked him if he would help them push it up on the trailer, and the guy smiled and walked right on buy us. My husband, myself and the two younger guys ended up loading the pallet on our trailer. Never, ever, again!!! I will drive to Ocala or shop at Home Depot before I will ever set foot in this store. They are pathetic!!!! read more
