I live very close to the big box store, called Lowe's. All of the employees work for commissions. And that's makes it Cut-throat. My wife purchased a Blackstone 36-inch Culinary griddle as a Father's Day gift and had it assembled by Lowes and delivered to our house. The assembly was terrible. I ended up having to fix most of it. To make matters worse it looked like the legs had been forced into position and because of this one of them was not set right and the detachable basket that attaches to the front of the grill did not completely lock in place so the basket never stayed on. Then when I went to use it I opened the lid and one of the screw holding it in place came out and the lid fell and scratched up my griddle. We called Lowes about it and we couldn't get any help over the phone so my wife took time out of her day and went down to the store. They told her they would send someone to come pick it up. They picked it up the next day which was Thursday and we didn't hear from them until Monday. They finally called us and said they're having a brand new one delivered to us the next day, which was Tuesday. I was home to receive it and when it came off of the truck I noticed it was already damaged. I am almost certain it wasn't damaged in the delivery truck because I saw how they had it stored in the truck before they took it off of the truck and it was wrapped up nice and tight with a huge moving blanket all around it to prevent it from getting scratched or messed up. I opened up the griddle lid when it was in my backyard and there was a large stain on it from some sticky substance that wouldn't come off with soap and water. The front basket was all scratched up and it was scratched all over on the actual grill. It looked like someone had returned this grill and they just passed it on to me. Upset I went back to Lowes and spoke to someone named Chris the same day we received the new one. He told me the Blackstone model we purchased was updated and there's a new model number. He told me they didn't have anymore of the model we purchased but if I was ok with it he'll just have them build one of the new models and dropped off to our house the next day, Wednesday. I said sure. It was the same item at the same price with minor changes. Wednesday morning they came and picked up the second damaged Blackstone. Around 4PM Wednesday we called Lowes because we hadn't received a phone call saying when they we're going to drop off the new replacement. My wife said they were very rude on the phone and finally someone named Angel spoke to her who was also very rude and basically told her he doesn't know anything about it and he'll talk to delivery tomorrow (Thursday) and call us back. He did not call us back. I went back down to the store for a third time now to find out what's going on. I stood there and waited while the returns employee called for a manager. No one came. Finally one was walking by and she lady at the front stopped her to help me, her name was Tisheka. Disinterested she helped me. I told her what was going on and she left to the back and spent 20 minutes there without telling me anything or letting me know what was going on. Tisheka comes back and tells me since it's a new model number they have to refund the money to us and we need to purchase the item again. Why wasn't this said when I went to the store two days before? I asked her when they would be able to deliver the new one to me and she said she won't know until we purchase it again. I call my wife who is now irate and told her what was going on. It was a gift, she didn't want me to know how much she spent, she didn't want me to have to deal with this so she was very upset. Even worse was since my wife wasn't there they first told me they couldn't refund the money to us without the original card present. I told them she was on her way somewhere else and couldn't go there now so they found a way to refund the money to the credit card she used and gave me the receipt, showing me how much my wife spent on my gift. Now the next problem we have is since my wife isn't there she has to call and give Tisheka the credit card information she used to purchase the griddle the first time. I call my wife to tell her all of this and during that time Tisheka becomes busy doing something else and now I'm being told I need to wait 10-15 minutes for her to finish so she can help me. I told them I can't wait because I have somewhere I need to be so they took my number down and said Tisheka would call me. She did not call me. No one throughout this ordeal showed interest in wanting to solve our problem throughout this entire ordeal and we dealt with rude employees and attitudes throughout. No one has tried to make this right. Everyone has treated us like a nuisance and acted like this was someone else's problem. This store doesn't not care about their customers or their reputation. 3 times we had to go down to the store and now we're told we have to do the entire purchasing process all over again. read more

Worst customer service. Went to simply make a copy of a key, encountered 2 employees who, instead of helping me said they'd "call for someone". Heard them announce over the loud speaker (1 time per employee approached) but no one ever came. I stood at the end of the isle for 15 mins and nothing. We are in the process of doing some updates to our home, so I have found myself visiting Lowe's frequently these days. This was my first visit to the Lowe's in this particular location which is in Homestead, Florida. The store was extremely well organized, pretty much the way that all Lowe's are, what set this store apart was the service that I received in the flooring department. There was a young man by the name of Denzel that helped my husband and I sort through many boxes of this specific tile that we were looking for. This young man went above and beyond his work duties to assist us, he was curious and very patient. I want to make this review public because I know how valuable it is to have an employee that is there to assist customers when they are in need. Thank you so much for hiring good quality workers! I was just in the store to return a light kit and to purchase a ceiling fan. I went to customer service and I originally spoke with Camille and she told me she could not take back the kit because I didn't have the receipt. I asked to speak to a manager and I went back to get the fan while I was waiting that I needed and when I got back a manager by the name of Tisheka had come to customer service to speak with me. I told her what my issue was and that I needed to purchase a whole fan not the light kit. She told me they could only offer me a store credit. I said that's fine cause I'm buying this other fan now anyways. I'd like to add that ceiling fan kit was never opened. The manager Tisheka turned to Camille and told her to give this KAREN A STORE CREDIT. I CONTINUE TO TALK WITH THE STORE MANAGER WHILE CAMILLE WAS RUNNING THE STORE CREDIT. It did take me a moment to realize that this manager had just called me a Karen I asked her what gives you the right to speak to me like that or to speak about me like that she was laughing and so was Camille How does or any level of management put people in authority positions that talk to customers like this I voice my opinion in regards to how bad customer service has gotten at the store. The manager replied to me. Why do you come here if you don't like the customer service. I replied to her by stating why would you as a manager talk to me like this? She said well it's just my opinion, but if you don't like the way, we do business here why even come here? I would've walked out of the store and never come in there again if it hadn't been for the fact that I had already purchased two fans like the one I'm purchasing today and I needed a third one for the same room it is definitely my intentions from this moment on to never do business with Lowe's ever again. And it will become my quest to tell all family members friends and anybody else that will listen just how horrible the people at this store will treat you and have treated me. In December of 2020, I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and warranty from Lowes. Fast Forward 2 months ago, I noticed cracks in the back panel of the refrigerator and side panels. A technician came out and said he could provide tape and if I did not like his recommendation I could reach out to Assurant ( the warranty company). IMAGINE PAYING ALMOST 2000.00 FOR A REFRIGERATOR AND THEN BEING TOLD TO TAPE IT INSIDE!!! I reached out and they were no help either. They scheduled 2 separate appointments  and both times it was a no show, causing me to loose 8 hours in PTO time at work. I contacted the Store and spoke to Albert, Carmen and Jorge. Albert ( The store Manager) stated he was going on vacation and Carmen would look into the matter. Carmen reached out to me for the work order, which  I emailed on March 30.  Ten days passed  with no response. Finally, I reached out and   She said stated the  email was not received. At this point I was furious.. If you never received the email Why didnt you call me back to inform me of that. This woman from day one  did absolutely nothing to assist me. In fact she was so rude even to the point of calling my wife  "loco" in spanish to Jose. She called her out on it and instead of apologizing she said "well you are crazy because you told Jose you did not want to speak to me again"  As an African American to be called Crazy by a manager at Lowes was very insulting. Is this who they have representing their brand?  I asked to speak to Albert but each time I was told he was busy. Then Jose picks up the call and I have to explain everything to him and his conclusion was to give me a 35% discount because no one else has complained about this type of problem. Why would I purchase anything else from Lowes when they don't honor their warranty. I have attached not one but multiple complaints by various consumers who have had the same experience with this Refrigerator with Lowes. Lowes continues to sell brands to consumers who do not support their products. Lowes continues to sell warranties and not honor them. Lowes continues to mislead consumers. Something needs to be done about this immediately!  I want this investigated right away. I also want the management team at Lowes looked into under the direction of Albert. read more

Horrible customer service. Half an hour to find an employee and once you find one they act like they are busy plus terrible attitude.

I've waited two months for a fence replacement. When I called the customer service rep each time told me the permit was in review. When I called the count/city I was in I was told there was no record of a submission of a permit. When I called Lowe's back about this situation, I was told I was the one who was supposed to file for the permit. Do not go through Lowe's for any improvements because they will do absolutely nothing but take your money and wait. I literally had a roof replace within a week from the minute I requested it. If I can take the one star away I would. Over priced materials and little to no negotiation on it either. read more

The staff is very helpful and accommodated me win custom made orders. Everything modern and top of the line appliances along with ceiling fans to match my taste and live style. Super happy here at Lowe's and Home Depot. My orders arrived less than a week, just in time for my general contractor to get the ball rolling with the changes I wanted to make. Son went to the Homestead Lowes to purchase an Air Conditioner Thermostat. On line it's advertised for $19.98 on aisle 35 bay 2 at the Homestead, Florida store. He went there to aisle 35 but when he checked out, it rang up around $30 even with a military discount..!! Asking for the manager, she also refused to honor the on line advertised price..!! Home improvements stores use to give me anxiety. Not knowing exactly what specific item or size I need gets me frustrated especially not knowing the correct names for tools and parts. But that was then. Now it's all good! We came in just looking for a new paint color for our room and a new light fixture for our bathroom. The aisles are all labeled so we knew exactly where to go. There was a big sale on light fixtures and we went with one that went perfectly with our bathroom and would really light it up with LED lighting. When it came to the paint we knew what shade but we didnt know the difference between flat, eggshell, etc. No worries, an associate was there to help guide us and even let us know to check out the paint that was on sale that people didn't want. We were in luck as there was a nice white gloss that would be a perfect border color. We were in and out in not time and happy with our purchases. This store and associates really help to bring out the best in your home and with the great sales they had we saved a bundle. I recommend coming here for most of your home improvement needs and advice. read more

My husband and I bought a washer and dryer for our rental property down there. On the website it says "delivery & install included". They were to be delivered on separate days. Today was the washer. They brought it and put it in the living room and left! The laundry room is upstairs. We called the Homestead location and they ran my husband around in circles on the phone with different people and put him on hold over and over until he reached the manager where he was hung up on. We called corporate and they wrote up a ticket to send to the store for the "store manager " to contact us. Obviously this was already a part of the issue... we have yet to receive a call from him. (As we expect) Nor have we had any solutions to this issues given to us. False advertisement on the delivery and install. We will not be purchasing from Lowe's again. Also, my husband and I are both disabled veterans and this is how we spent our 4th of July. read more

God knows why I buy wood here for my projects. Every piece is bowed beyond belief. It makes working with this wood impossible. Not only is it bowed and full of knots and cracks, but it is expensive as can be. Each board costs an arm and a leg, and they have no pride in selling decent products. They sling the cheapest horrible bowed wood and sell it at top price. I am the idiot for buying it. No longer am I buying any wood from this place. To top it off they put stickers all over the wood which is impossible to get off. read more

This Lowes, which is the closest hardware store to my house is a bit of a mixed bag. It does not have a large assortment or variety of items as the Lowes stores I am used to frequenting back near my old home. But what really sad is the garden area. The garden area reeked and I think it reeked because it was full of dead and dying plants and I mean a lot of dead plants. There is always a few which die at every store and they are put in a corner to be thrown out later but the entire garden area was full of these dead and sickly plants. I was hoping to find something to plant in my backyard but that idea disappeared. The staff at least is very friendly. Every time I have come here and asked where I can find something they go out of their way to point to what I was looking for and are ever frustrated to do so. Even when it's multiple things. They talk to you and try to have you leave the store satisfied. read more

Came here to buy and cut wood for a home project, and i had to wait 40 minutes just to leave with uncut wood because nobody in this lowe's seems to want to do their job. I talked to three employees 2 of which couldn't help and one called a supervisor which never showed up. I spammed the call help button next to the wood cutting machine to no avail. It's not the first time it's been like this, this is a constant issue i have with this lowe's where i need help with something and either no employee can be found to help or the employees simply cannot help. Been going here several years now. Best to go during non-peak times if u need staff to help you find something. The online app compliments physical store very well. It can give u the location of item, stockage and reviews/tips from other users. If ur military or vet, sign up for 10% discount, as easy as giving ur telephone number at checkout. Much less stressful than going to Home Depot, which always seems to be crowded. Kinda confused with the switch from kolbalt to craftsmen. Starting to lile kobalt tools for price and quality, but it appears that they are going away leaving warranty repairs to a more complicated procedure. Craftsmen is not fully aboard, as Lowes will only do warranty exchanges on stanley decker Craftsmen items. read more

Went to grab a few things they have recently completely gotten rid of human cashiers and it is strictly self check out. Then requested to swap to propane tanks, was told to wait outside for the manager to assist. When I exited another gentleman had already been waiting for ten minutes for a propane tank swap. I waited an additional ten minutes then went inside to try and find this "manager". After finally finding someone I went back outside with the other gentleman who was still waiting, now 25 minutes waiting). The manager strolls out and could have cared less. Please lowes if you put someone as manager please make sure they care about their customers. read more

I went to pick up rocks on sale in front of store, paid it in full like the employee asked me too and I was waiting around for 30 mins and no one came outside to load them for me on my trailer with forklift. No one showed up and no one answered her to get someone to help me. This isn't the first time something happens like this in this lowes. I ended up getting my money back. I will never go to Lowe's ever again. I am a contractor that buys here all the time, I will never recommend anyone to go to lowes. Probably worse than Home Depot. Lowes Allen & Roth kitchen white shaker cabinets: We did the entire process as Lowes instructed, we paid for someone on their behalf to come out to our home and measure our kitchen "professionally" ( I use the term lightly as now our appliances don't fit in the spaces they did before). We went back to the Homestead location and sat down with Jesby Sanz on two separate occasions and "designed " our kitchen. We originally wanted to go with another brand offered by Lowes but Jesby said it would be a wiser choice and still in our budget to go with Allen and Roth since it would be better quality and it would arrive in our home within a month, month and a half. (it came in two months later ). We also got the Lowes credit card to receive an additional 5%. As we went to pay for our cabinets, jesby realized that the promotion he assured us of. was not available until Friday. It was Monday night at this point and he assured us he would order them first thing Friday upon his arrival at work for the day. It came 5pm and nothing. I had to call and call to make sure things were done as we spoke about . As the date jesby said the cabinets would be arriving was approaching I tried to reach out to him to have a better date so that I may be home when the cabinets arrived. He never answered, he never responded. Therefore I had to contact customer service and ask them if they had a better ETA for my cabinets at this point. They went ahead and escalated it to his manager because there was no further information and they were the ones that are able to assist me. Finally I had a manager call me who apologized and was forever helpful moving forward. On the day my uncle came over to install our new cabinets As per the list that was dropped off with the cabinets, he was trying to trying to organize the cabinet set up before installation. Prior to this, I had emailed and contacted Mr. Jesby for the plans even though I had asked him for them prior to this. He responded and said he apologized because he was on vacation and did not reach out to me. I needed more information and I immediately wrote back to him that he never responded. The day that my uncle came to install the kitchen cabinets, as we started taking them out of the boxes we realized that doors were not aligning, there were dings and dents in places that were very visible. All the meanwhile my uncle was finally speaking with jesby about the layout of the cabinets. During the phone conversation, jesby finally sent over a copy of the plans to my email all while on the phone with my uncle. They spent 40 minutes going back-and-forth why things weren't not matching up with the plans. Jesby was telling my uncle that he didn't know what he was doing and my uncle telling Mr. Jesby that what was on the plans, was not the cabinets that were here in my home. Again after 40 minutes Jesby realized he emailed us the wrong plans for the kitchen cabinetry as it was a different design. He didn't apologize, he didn't say anything to anybody. This is a horrible company. After buying a whole house water treatment system, I waited two weeks before I called to inquire on their promised installation. I got the run-around. Calls that sat and rang for minutes, or the sudden "disconnect" when the line would get picked up. On one of my calls, I was transferred 5 times before the line went dead. I spent 40 minutes trying to call but no luck. I called the corporate number and was immediately taken care of. AMAZINGLY I got a call from this store within 20 minutes and they were suddenly treating me like a customer. A week later the contractors came to install the units and all seemed well until the next day when their plumbing burst. Yep! Absolutely wonderful. Again I called Lowe's but to no avail. I called a plumber since I had to turn off the water to my house. I eventually got a manager on the line and he had to call someone to check when I told him I needed to know who to send the plumbing bill to. I'm still waiting. Stay away from lowes of homestead. Had a fence installation done 9 months ago, Installed very poorly, post were not cemented and a lot of other issues. Have spoken to Lowes over 75 times and always insured it will be resolved, Still waiting. Spoke to Chip the district/General manager and he agreed it was faulty and said it would be escalated. Supplies were ordered by chip, which we had to call 10 times to get delivered. Still sitting in my yard after another month and no contact. Contacted customer service over and over and over and assured it would be resolved in 24 hours. Still not fixed. This is the worst experience ever, I was very loyal to Lowes but not anymore. Wow what a terrible experience....I went to purchase a grill (@$400 plus accessories) and had nothing but terrible service. I asked to take the floor model due to a limited time frame with a vehicle that could accommodate transporting the grill. When I asked the service associate in the grill section for assistance, he was rude and unaccommodating (with no smile to say the least). Needless to say I left and went to Home Depot. I left and contacted the manager, Dan, who seemed less than interested making the situation better. As someone who works in customer service, every mistake is an opportunity for improvement. Let's just say Dan and his staff have some opportunity for improvement. read more

This Lowe's location is closest to my house which is the only reason why I go. You can never find anyone on the floor to help you and they never have more than two registers open. I've learn to look up the item location online and find it myself at the store. Still it would be nice to have staff available for questions. Customers service in the hardware department is amazing, Ian, was the last one to assist me with my last project. He guided me and gave me options and alternatives ( which were great ideas by the way). I usually find everything that Home Depot doesn't have for my DIY projects I find it here. Overall the associates are super nice and helpful and the store is always clean. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the guy in charge of cutting the wood in the morning by the back has a terrible attitude and is always with the "I don't want to help anyone"attitude. On my last two visits I needed wood cut and despite the fact that I waited for him to finish guiding the other guy driving the the forklift after they go to the back pretending to still be using the forklift but he was just standing and talking on his cellphone for more that 10 minutes despite the fact I was standing across from him all this time until I mentioned that if he could cut it now since he was on the phone and with an nasty attitude grabbed my pieces of plank but since I was not prepare with the measurements he didn't even help me measure and while I was doing my calculation he seem very irritated to help me with a "hurry up" face. Other than that I really like coming here the huge variety that Home Depot doesn't have. read more

Wasted my time at Homestead Lowes, trying to purchase a storage cabinet. One employee told me it wasn't in stock and had to be special ordered. Well it was in stock. After locating the storage cabinet for the Lowe's employee. He then stated we would need to wait for another employee to bring it down off the rack. After waiting 45 minutes the employee returns and stated they do not have anyone that can bring down the item. Asked to speak to a manager. Well they are both in the office. Waited again to speak with a manager only to leave empty handed. Lowe's Corporate can do a better job at hiring team members and managers. read more

Went in at 6am to return some solar powered outdoor lights that didn't seem to work that well and was greeted by the most beautiful smile by the name of Krystal!!!!!! Very friendly and sweet as can be,helped me in less than 5 mins and even walked over to unlock door to let me out...best visit I've ever had at Lowe's thanks to her.5 stars just based on that pleasant experience alone. read more
