It's a Lowe's. What more can you say? If you need building or home repair items, then this is your place. I'm sure it's just like most Lowe's, there are tons of employees around looking to help you find what you need (until you need one of them then they're nowhere to be found. Of course, that could just be my luck). This particular Lowe's is where I found out that I'm not the smooth negotiator that I thought I was. We were in the market for a new stove so we headed off to Lowe's. They had several appliances on the sidewalk out front of the store when we arrived. One of the employees was manning this little yard sale so I asked him about a stove that was sitting there. He told me that it was a return. A customer had bought it, it was delivered to the customer, the customer returned it without ever removing the packaging material. It was, literally, still in the box. The price on the tag was around $1400 but it was marked down to $1000. I told my wife that I was going to offer the guy $700 just to see if he would drop the price a little and meet me in the middle. I walked back over to him and before I could even make an offer he told me that he would take $600 for it. I should have played it cool but instead I just threw my wallet at him and started hugging my new stove. In hindsight, I really hope he actually worked there and was not just some guy in a blue vest. This location has to have the worst customer service i have ever seen. We went to this location to purchase a few cabinets for our house. They showed there were 6 in stock but 4 of the 6 were damaged but still on the shelf for sale. We had asked an employee to help get the two good shelves down from the top of their shelves and he stated he would be over there to help in few minutes. We waited 20 minutes and he never showed up. So I asked another employee and they said they will have someone over to help. We waited another 20 minutes and nothing. Then the guy that we originally talked to walked by and asked if there was anything we needed help with. I wanted to tell him that we already talked to him but just wanted to get the shelves and leave. Once we got the shelves we had a few other things to purchase and we noticed every employee we passed didnt ask if we needed help and seemed anti social unless it was with each other. We also noticed that a great deal of the employees were in a big group just standing talking and not helping others customers. Plenty of these employees were playing on their cellphones. When we got to the checkout line the (which was self checkout) the employee asked if we found everything we needed which was nice but she stood there the whole time watching every item to be scanned. My reaction is if your going to just stand there grab the items and scan the stuff for me. I have given good reviews and bad reviews but this Lowe's location has to be the worst business by far and the store manager really needs to retrain the whole staff. I ordered 11 bags of Large Stone Mortar from Lowe's online. Unfortunately, two of the bags arrived with holes in them, causing the mortar to spill everywhere. When I contacted Lowe's customer service to request a replacement, I explained that I could not transport the damaged bags back to the store because they were torn open and had made a huge mess. Since the order had been delivered to my home, I asked that the same delivery crew pick up the damaged bags and bring two replacement bags. The assistant store manager, Adam, refused to arrange the pickup and redelivery, leaving me to deal with a problem that was caused by damaged merchandise. I expected much better customer service, especially for an online delivery order. This experience has been extremely disappointing. The issue was not my fault, and I don't believe I should be responsible for returning damaged products that arrived in unusable condition. Because of how this situation was handled, I will be taking my future home improvement projects and business to Home Depot instead. read more

Went to Lowes Friday night to get a half sheet of plywood. I have never been treated with such disrespect. Tasha was the rude and very incapable of understand basic logic and math. She treated me like I was an idiot and expected me to take the abuse. I DID NOT. I called her out on her inappropriate behavior and underhanded sales tactics. She told me to go to Home Depot. I had the manager come over. Tasha was again rude to me in front of the manager Braden. She was rude and disrespectful to both of us. Braden says he will deal with her on the issue I hope he will. I went for a half sheet of plywood. Being an experienced shopper I know if there is wood left over after its been cut in-store you can sometimes get a discount. I felt lucky when there was a half sheet of plywood in the dead lumber stack. I asked Tasha about the half sheet. She said I could get a 50% discount on the half sheet. I was very happy. We went to the register and rang it up. The price did not represent a discount. I asked Tasha about it and she told me it did include a discount. I told her the math didn't add up. A full sheet is $37. So a half sheet is$18.50. So half of that was $9.25. But my total was $17 and change. Tasha got belligerent yelling at me that I didn't understand. I stuck with the math. Math doesn't lie. So after being berated by Tasha, she explains that lowes policy is to charge for a full sheet and discount it by 50%. How odd. So there really is no discount. Lowes gets to charge the original buyer for a full sheet. Then charge me for a full sheet. Then discount it and give me a half sheet. Feed me crap and tell me its ice cream. And expect me to smile. Braden agreed with Tasha about the policy. I asked for the managers name and contact information. Conveniently she is on vacation until the 12th. (Sabrina Norveen). I asked for the area supervisors name and contact information. Don Mallard but customers aren't allowed to contact him directly. Its against Lowes policy. Nice job to have. No direct response for the customer or accountability for employees that way. Hmmm. If Lowes doesn't discount cut leftover lumber then Tasha shouldn't have told me I get a 50% discount. Selling half a product at 50% of the cost of a whole product is not a discount. Your paying full price. Regardless of the discount. The employees are being trained to represent a fraudulent discount. Bad business. Sabrina and Don should be ashamed. Tasha should not use her inability to comprehend basic math as a reason to disrespect customers. And Lowes policy to trow away perfectly good scrap wood instead of discounting(a true discount. Not the shell game of half off the original full product price.) Is ecological unsound. Cut more trees down because we are throwing away good wood. Arrghhhh And what about Lowes investors. Losing out on dividends because store policy requires usable wood to be thrown away rather than trying to recoupe part of the cost by offering a true discount. How can you do any home improvement when you cannot depend on the stock or after waiting for weeks, the delivery is promised but never comes. This is the last time I will ever purchase a product from Lowe's. When you cannot depend on delivery you must cancel electricians, painters, or any other service you have scheduled depending on reliability of the store. The inventory on their website is wrong. I have been to this Lowe's twice to pick up lumber that their website said they have in stock and they didn't have any of it. Then today I went by to pick up paint and they didn't have five gallons of white Valspar (their brand) of paint. Their inventory is consistently wrong and good luck trying to find someone to help you. When you finally do, they'll look at their device and tell you they have the inventory, but they can't find it either. Do not rely on their website for inventory! read more

I bought a generator on one of the hottest days because the power was estimated to be out all day; however, by time we got home the power was back on. The wife took the generator back 1 week and 1 day later and was told they would not return because of what other people had done in the past. Weird, being their own policy still states a 30 day return for generators. Seems to be no problem with Home Depot where my wife thought I had bought the generator, because they had no issues before realizing I had not bought it there. There is no reason that people should be penalized for what others have done. read more

Never can seem to get any help when it comes to calling customer service. Own a business and need to call store and talk to someone about a product or an order or for anything and you never get through to anyone, have called multiple times and throughout years and rarely ever get through and if you do no one can ever have any information for you and told they can't help or don't know how to help. When you don't live in town and have to drive 30 min to ask a question takes up time, money and mood and makes it hard for business owners or customers in general to be able to get their jobs done. We recently purchased a new dishwasher to be delivered and installed. The day we selected came, by 3 pm we had not heard from them. I attempt to call Lowes, was transferred to some department where the phone rang until it hung up on me. I call back, same scenario. Finally my husband calls and is given an 800 to call. I call this number explaining how we were to have a dishwasher delivered, how I had taken the day off from work to accommodate this. I then receive a call from a 3rd party plumber saying it wasn't scheduled until the following day and there was no way for it to be delivered on the day my paperwork states. . Because NO ONE would answer the phone we drove to the store to discuss this with customer service. We were given 2 options, reschedule or refund our money. Trying to work around our work schedule Lowes said they called the installation company and would calls us right back with in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later we call the installers , they had gone home for the day. I highly recommend not utilizing their delivery or installation program. They use one company to schedule the delivery, who then contracts with a local company. It is literally the most ass backward system. I have no idea who messed up the date because so many people are involved with no one wanting to own up this mistake. Needless to say it cost me a day of work without any kind of courtesy to some how make amends. We are in the middle of selecting products for a bathroom remodel, I had selected a good portion from Lowes, not anymore, I will spend the money for my complete bathroom remodel else where. UPDATE: original dishwasher installation was suppose to be 1/31/22, which they mis-scheduled for 2/1/22. NOW They're unable to deliver today and can't make it until tomorrow. This makes my delivery and installation 2 days past the original day I was promised. I WILL NEVER SPEND A DIME IN THIS STORE AGAIN! read more

I have always loved going to Lowe's for all my DIY/repair needs but goodness what happened to their customer service?! Ive gone to the Flooring section twice in the past two months and both times have encountered the rudest guys! My most recent experience was with my husband. When we walked up to the flooring desk, we waited patiently for one of the young men to look up and ask if we needed help with anything and NEVER did they ever ask us anything. Instead they looked at us like we were bothering them. Never smiled, never said anything. So when we asked them the differences in the floors and what the best type of flooring was, one young man answered me as if I had offended him by asking! His response (with an attitude): "they are all pretty good, just whichever is your preference." This was the same horrible service we got when I went with my parents a couple of months ago. We were prepared and getting ready to spend ALOT of money with Lowe's to replace the flooring in our whole house but because of the rude customer service, we'll be finding another place to spend our money. read more

I have been a Lowe's customer for over 20 years. Recently I noticed that associates in the cashier and customer service area are not the high quality they used to be. In the last week or so I have seen a male associate with bright green hair and a female associate with goth makeup (black lipstick, weird make up, and heavily tattooed arms. I know it is a "free country" but how am I supposed to take these associates seriously when they are so obviously outside of normal societal standards. The cashier that checked me out was obviously bored to death with her job and ignorant. The department workers have been very polite, knowledgeable, and professional as a general rule. Your "up-front" employees are the first and last representatives a customer sees; I recommend reasonable dress code and appearance standards be implemented. You may say that you cannot discriminate hiring these goofs because of PC laws. I say you need to be more selective to keep long term loyal customers from going to Home Depot. I like LOWES much better but I expect professional appearance and attitude when I visit your store and SPEND MONEY! read more
