Went in to get a dryer cable. Was in the back looking for the right one and needed an associate to ask a question. After waiting for about 10 minutes decided to just try my luck with Google. Figured it out and went up front to check out. This is when I saw 6-7 workers up front joking around and socializing instead of actually working. Service was absolute garbage. Then at the check out accidentally double scanned the item and had to wait another 3-4 minutes for an associate to quit messing around and come over to take it off. read more

We ordered doors from Lowes. It took four months to receive the first shipment of doors. The installers were installing the doors and noticed that they were damaged. We began to check all the doors and noticed that all the doors were defective. The store Manager Martin was not very helpful. The sales associate reordered the doors, and hopefully, the new doors aren't defective. Today the French patio doors that were specially ordered were supposed to be installed. I noticed those doors were defective as well. Lowes refunded my money for the Patio doors. I expect this type of service at Walmart, not at Lowes. What's upsetting is that the manager did not show any empathy about the doors being defective. Next time I'll shop at Home Depot. read more

I have a confession to make... i always thought very LOWE of this place XD But seriously, ive always been such a prude about going to Lowes because growing up, my memories revolved around my dad bringing me to Home Depot and i also relied on their products more for specific things such as sand paper of all things lol. However, i also came to realize that whenever i walked in to search around for other items, such as garage sale signs or light bulbs, i found that i felt less intimidated in Lowes. It may also be due to the fact that there seems to be more employees readily available for questions or even eager to ask if you need help. What really sealed the deal for me recently though was this FABULOUS self-programmed, super user friendly key duplicating machine! I remember thinking how crazy their machines seemed and how serious training is involved before you can even think about sticking your last and only key into their duplicating port. I would be afraid of running the risk of messing up my one good copy and be locked outta my own dang house forever! But fear not with this Minute Key machine! It basically took me by the hand and caressed my face and told me everything was going to be ok as it prompted me thru the steps of duplicating my keys. PLUS, it was stupid easy to pick some personalized keys for the Cowboys and Baby Yoda! Best part? When you buy 2 keys, you get 1 for free! Now i will NEVER be locked outta my place with all 4 keys i possess! I literally figured out the key to happiness! Lol read more

Ordered a stove on Friday the 27th and I call on Monday to get an update because I was told they would call at the latest Tuesday the 31st to install, only to be told I won't get my stove that is supposed to be in stock at the time I bought it until January 6th. I am the least handy person but have found that Lowes makes me feel less intimidated than the orange place. There's always someone readily available to help out and not hiding like at HD. The store is always clean and they're fully stocked. I have recently started collecting plants and their no questions guarantee return policy on plants is unmatched. HD sometimes gives me a judge vibe when I've had to return dead plants. Lowes handles the return like a pro. I do wish they had more variety on planters. read more

I always come to this one. The staff is always nice and knowledgeable. They usually have more items than other stores. One time when we were looking for a mower, we went to PX, Walmart, and a few other stores but we couldn't find the kind we wanted. When we came here, we were so amazed that not only they had the kind we wanted, they had many more different kinds. Also, you can find pretty good deals. My husband and I always come here and end up buying more stuff (tools, plants etc..) we didn't plan to buy. They also have 10% military discount. You just gotta ask for it at the cashier. read more

3.5-4 stars depending. I have to say the customer service is super friendly at Lowe's. Easy to talk to and most of the time pretty knowledgeable. There are some things they don't have, but for the most part, I found everything I needed aside from a red stain for some wood. There are virtually no lines and yes things do cost a little more here, but it can be worth the lack of lines if that is important to you. I had to return things a few days in a row and there were no questions asked. I even got a few pointers on how to get rid of some pests, so that was cool. I also got some tips on the right cement for fixing a rock wall. If you happen to be on the Northeast and don't feel like waiting in line at Walmart, Lowe's might be the place for you. read more

The second item I'm still waiting on and it's been over a month . They couldn't schedule me an install because nobody would answer the phones . Lowe's was supposed to call to confirm delivery. The day came and went without a call or delivery, but we were charged for the washing machine. I called repeatedly over the next few days and was given a variety of excuses as to why it was not delivered. Eventually I was told the washing machine was now in stock and scheduled it for delivery on October 4th. Again, the washing machine was not delivered. When I called, I was told there wasn't room on the truck, and would be delivered on October 8. Why did no one call to tell me this before I waited at home all afternoon? Finally, I was told it would be delivered on October 5. On October 5th I was told it wasn't in stock (contradicting what I had been told the day before). In fact, the order was messed up, so they cancelled my order and made a new order for me, with a delivery date of October 12. We ended up cancelling this order. At best, this demonstrates an incredible level of incompetence. We do not recommend ordering an appliance online for delivery by this Lowe's. ************************************************************************** In store 5-star review: After all of the hassle above, we ended ended up going into the store. That washing machine arrived at our house the next day, but ended up having a leak (not the result of Lowe's, but a faulty machine). I had a hard time with this store. We had a carpet install set up and the employee came to the house to measure. They said they would call two days later when the quote was complete. Three days later we went into the store to ask about it and the man who was at the flooring section said they had not started the quote yet and the would call the next day with the quote. Not hearing back from them late in the day, we went back in and they gave us the quote that was filed. We finally got the quote and walked around the store to find an American flag section that was in complete disarray that was so disrespectful. I was completely disgusted for this blatant ignorance for the flag. Nobody knows what's going on three different people will tell you three different answers if you can find someone to help in the first place and forget about getting through on the phone. This is the most poorly run business there is. I would not recommend going here for any needs. I actually had an encounter with an employee who for about 35 minutes fumbling through the computer I told I would like to speak with another employee who was more familiar with the work and this lady told me she's one of the most experienced employees and that she's been in that department for 10 years but they just updated the system. We recently purchased new Pella windows from Lowe's and they used a installer from Las Cruces, NM. Although the windows are descent windows, the installation was poor. Due to pounding on the outside corner of the old windows to remove them we now have hairline cracks inside the house. Every window has this issue except two. We would not recommend Lowe's for windows due to this problem. We were also told we would receive an email to do a survey for the quality of the windows and the installing of the windows, didn't receive one for either. When you spend thousands of dollars to replace windows the last thing you should have to do is repair cracks around the inside of the windows. read more

I visited the Lowes on Redd Road in El Paso today. I asked the clerk, Isaac: "Do you guys carry Scotchguard fabric protector." I was in the paint department and Isaac said to me: "I don't carry it." I thought that was odd. So, I then searched for the product on my Lowes app. It showed that the store carried the product. I went to the row and isle and found three rows of Scotchguard fabric protector. I then went back and spoke to Isaac and told him I found what I needed. I asked him why he had told me "I don't carry it." He said that he said that because he works in the paint department and his department does not carry it. What? I said that a customer goes to a store to buy a product from the store, not to buy a product from a clerk of a particular department. I went to customer service and suggested that they need to train their employees to be helpful to customers by (1) asking another employee if the product is in another department, (2) checking the Lowes app, (3) checking with customer service if the store carries a particular product. I went to buy some poles and plywood at this location and while I was loading the plywood an older employee began to assist me without me asking him, I was very thankful for his assistance. The cashier was very friendly and told me that if I needed help loading the items to ask one of the guys by the door. I started loading the plywood but opted for safety and went back into the store where there was a young employee standing by the door. I asked him if he could assist me loading my truck and he asked where I was parked. I told him I was close to the entrance in the parking lot. He said that he did not go out to the parking lot only to the covered portion of the entrance. I went back to my truck and started loading the plywood when I heard a loud noise from my right elbow. So this was the 3rd Lowe's I had traveled to in town today. The 1st location told me the appliance I was searching for was in stock at location #2. Location #2 told me they don't carry that specific appliance, but it was in stock at location #3 (this location). I get to this store, go to the appliance section, and wait for about 30 minutes to get help from the gentleman working that section. When he did finally help, he was extremely rude. I was inquiring about what models they had in stock that day, and was trying to clarify what the deals were for the current sale. The employee was extremely short and snippy, and walked off with another customer before I has gotten the information I needed. I then sought out another associate, and she was nicer. She was able to assist me in figuring out which models were instock and so forth. After already traveling to 3 stores over the last few hours, I decided to just pick a model they had in stock at THIS store, and decided to buy that one. When I told the female employee which one I would like to buy, she headed to the back to bring it out. I waited for over an hour for her to retrieve the appliance from the back of the store. Over an hour. Had the store been super busy, whatever, I got it. However that was not the case. ANyway, when i finally got my merchandise, I proceeded to check out. i paid, then asked if I could get help loading this heavy appliance into the back of my truck. They assured me someone would be outside to help. I get the truck pulled up, and there is no one outside, nor is my purchase outside either. i go inside, and I cannot find my purchase where they asked me to leave it. I ask the manager, he said they would have it right out. I headed out to the truck, and waited another 15 minutes before someone finally came outside. It was a 100lb female employee pushing the dolly with my purchase. There was no way she was going to be able to help e lift it, so she headed inside to get someone else, and I waited again, this time with my new appliance in hand. Another few minutes went by, and no employees came to help. Finally another customer asked if I needed some help, and he helped me get my purchase into the back of the truck. The total disregard for the customer at this store is astounding. I have never been to a store like this and recieved such poor customer service. Will NOT be returning. read more

Both a faucet and a vanity top were in stock only here, and I was quickly able to find what was needed--WITH help! First, AM John gave me good directions, which proved fruitful, then cashier Vero came to my assistance (even though it was not her speciality) before turning me over to Lillian. I left this fine store feeling very successful and knew that my purchases will ultimately result in a much better remodeled bathroom at home. I was left standing for 25 mins at the Transmountain Lowes, repeatedly used the call for help button. Managers then even called for someone to come to my aisle. No one came, not an employee nor a manager. I was stood waiting and waiting, until i finally was able to ask someone where I was told to wait another minute, which wasn't a minute. It was another 5 mins minimum. Someone else finally showed only to turn off the call button to tell me to wait just a couple more minutes. Then when I finally got help after 30 minutes, I was told their system was wrong and they didn't even have the item I wanted in stock as their system showed. Honestly I have never been treated this badly in a lowes store as I have been at this one. Horrible experience, I do not plan on going back to this one ever. Once again Lowes never fails to disappoint. I was told by an employee that in order to get all my locks changed at my house I just had to bring the locks in to be rekeyed. So I took all the locks off at my house and brought them in. The same guy told me that he can only rekey them if I buy the locks there. Needless to say I was highly upset. So off we went to the garden area inside the store. I needed grass seed. I knew the one I wanted. It was The Scotts Water Smart Bermuda grass seed. They were supposed to have about 32 in stock but I didn't see it. I had my son go get an employee and I asked about it. He showed me the ones they were supposed to be and I told him that item was not it because it was not water smart. He went to check outside and came back and told me the ones he showed me were them. He even showed me on his phone. It was labeled wrong. But this employee at first just tried saying it was it, like he didn't want to do his job. In the outside garden section, I had to load 8 bags of top soil and 3 bags of manure. Just like every time we go to Lowes, no employee was around to ask if we needed any help. To top it off, I'm trying to push/pull the cart to the checkout and the water hose is in the way. The employee watering didn't move it or anything. Just continued doing his own thing. So I lifted the hose over the cart while my mom pushed the cart thru. Once we got outside of the garden section, I pulled my car up along the side and started unloading the soil and manure. Some very nice gentleman (not a Lowe's employee) who had been in the garden section with us started helping us to load my car. He also warned me not to drive straight up toward the 54 or my car would more than likely get stuck because there is a big dip in the street. My mom had told me semi's have even got stuck there. So we drove towards Trans Mt. and hit 54. We were very thankful to him. Who needs a worthless Lowe's employee to help when you have really nice regular people to help? read more

The store is laid out very well, and the displays are always well organized and well lit. It is never hard to find someone to help, and they take returns easier than any other place I've been. I am a retired American living in Chihuahua,Chihuahua, Mexico. A friend recently had a "Mini-Split A/C " system installed in her home by Lowes here in Chihuahua. It worked for a couple days then started making noise and was vibrating treibly. Turns out, it was NOT ancorhed down. The wind had blown it over onto its side, breaking at least one of the fan blades. After three requests to have someone from Lowes to return to the house for review, a repersentative of Lowes arrived. He said that since I had up-righted the unit, that action may have caused the damage. He also said that they do not anchor units down because water can get into the roof. Aditonal internal damage may have occurred so I requested that the unit be replaced at no additional charge. No action on the part of Lowes, a well-respected company, has been taken. My daughter ordered a stove online from the lowes on transmountain all the way from south korea. I called them to set up a delivery time. The man at customer service said it would be delivered the next day but couldn't give an estimated time which is ok. I asked him if they would install it and haul away the old one. He guaranteed that they would since my daughter paid the charge. the next day the delivery men come and say they are not certified to install and could not haul it away either.. it's not there job. I call lowes and this very rude and nasty women in installation tells me she can't fix the problem. I would have to pay extra and they won't be able to install til next week. she tells me that the people I spoke to in customer service don't know the policy or what they are doing.
