Incompetence is what they are all about. I wanted a utility trailer and needed it as soon as possible. They didn't have it in stock but didn't tell me that. They waited 6 days and then said my payment was declined. I then sent a new payment and they emailed a few hours later and said that payment was declined. I called them and they said they had to order the trailer. So that trailer will be here almost a month after I ordered it. I should have went to Home Depot. No more Lowe's. read more

This location is not much different than most Lowes, but their quality of plans is dismal. There is a decent selection, but they look like they put them on display and don't take care of them. The customer service desk gets very busy and sometimes they only have on person manning it. It's too close to the front entrance that you have to walk through the line when coming in the main entrance. Some employees offer to help, while others stare at you as you walk by. It's convenient due to its proximity to where I live, but wouldn't be my go-to place for items in stock and customer service. read more

Do yourself a favor and just go to Home Depot. They wouldn't honor a price match even though on their lowes website it says they do. It took 5 minutes to get help from a manager and they still wouldn't honor it after showing them the website. Will not be coming back, Home Depot is where it's at read more

Rather than driving 70 miles to see if an item is in stock i called the Augusta store 6 times and not one person would pick up the phone. A week later i called again asking to speak to the manager, I was told he was in an interview and would call me back, two days later no call. That should go in the Guinness Book of Records for the worlds longest interview! Its a great pity as Lowes has some good products but i am unable to deal with a store that has probably the worst customer service i have ever experienced and a manager who could care less about his or her customers... Love shopping this store. The people are friendly Miranda helped me in the garden center. Pam was very sweet cashier. My experience was a good one. I shop here when I can for my garden tools, bought a Kobalt rake was $25.88 but it's fiberglass and won't break like my wooden one. Posted some photos of it snowing in late April. I'd give zero stars if possible. We have a small farm business and raise free running angora rabbits for their fiber. We ordered sheet vinyl flooring for a new renovation to expand the buns area and since the website didn't allow pick-up we had to choose shipping. This order was Dec. 12 scheduled to be delivered December 16th. Not only was this the cheapest vinyl flooring, but the delivery window was perfect as we have a litter of unexpected kits. The day before delivery there is news of a blizzard and we are rescheduled for Dec. 23. That was fine, we were notified 24 hours in advance and let our helpers know not to come for install as well as not needing to take off work (because it says you need to be there to sign for delivery, delivery window is 8 AM - 8 PM). December 23rd arrives, we've moved everything from the space (currently have limited space) and our helpers have arrived. We receive only an email after 8 AM that they are rescheduling for Dec. 30. Our animals are growing, our space is limited, our time is valuable, our helpers time is valuable. Dec. 30 comes - same thing as before - days off from work, costly help, animals moved, house in disarray- 3 PM we start calling for an update. We speak to someone on an 800 number that actually tries to help. She is the only person that shows any empathy. She needs to contact the store to verify what is going on and keeps me on the line. If you read the comments below, same experience. No one was answering, when they finally answered, they told us the product is marked for customer pickup and is at the store. The 800 number colleague asks why they have it for pickup when it is marked delivery and we've paid for delivery. Store colleague doesn't know and hangs up. The 800 colleague tries to get this figured out with the store and has no luck so she puts in a ticket because ultimately, the store has the item sitting there but hasn't delivered 3x now. 5PM comes and still no update and the order still shows are arriving today. (Delivery window is until 8PM) We call the store and this is where the frustration lies. The most received answer was "I don't know", closely followed with "We don't handle this". Our first call took about 10 mins to have someone answer. We asked about the shipment, she gave us the phone number of the delivery crew to call to get an update. We called that number, the woman told us it didn't make it on the truck and to call Lowe's back. We called Lowe's back and waited no less than 20 mins for a pissed off employee to answer. She seemed to find our frustration humorous, actually refused to apologize when I directly asked (at the end of the call) if someone can at least apologize "No". She consistently said the manager was with a Customer and not available. We were finally able to get her to understand we are not hanging up until we speak to the manager- who shockingly was able to pick-up the call within minutes. We spoke with Andy (said he was the manager). After dealing with the girl that found our frustration funny - Andy straight told us he didn't work this morning so he doesn't know why the item didn't go out. But he did say that the driver is on vacation so they have no deliveries.....No one could tell us why our item was rescheduled for this day if there was no driver, why it is STILL showing as arriving today, help us understand why we are still receiving different response and that we want this product delivered ASAP. The only thing they wanted to do was reschedule: to mid-month. Finally my husband was able to get them to set for Jan 4 BUT we were told this is not guaranteed. Also, we paid 1.09 sq ft for this and it is now on sale for .22 sq ft. We received no empathy, no apology, no refund of any sort (could refund delivery to help us cover lost funds for delays communicated after delivery window) or marking down what we ordered to the sale price. They were upset we called. Lowe's does not help small businesses. If you are not a contractor, don't go here. We do not have the time and financial resources to have this happen. Communication would have changed this review. An apology or any sort of empathy would change this. I filed a complaint with BBB and FTC. *Did I note, online does not offer a way to now cancel this (that I've seen I am now extremely overpaying). I have to call the store and speak to that nice guy Andy. He could barely view the order and then his terminal went down. I spent 4 hours on the phone dealing with this. I will now be spending another 4 trying to cancel this. Meanwhile Home Depot is delivering the items and answered their phones in under 5 rings. read more

This store has only self-checkout available with one employee available to assist. If customers are being forced to use this method to checkout every thing an actual cashier can do when checking you out you should be able to do with self-checkout. But, NO. In order to apply military discount there must be human intervention to override the system. Self-checkout is annoying and just another way for the company so save money. Using this method should result in a discount for the customer. Also, when arriving home we found that the item purchased did not contain all parts which necessitated a return trip to the store to rectify the problems. Always clean and well staffed. Customer service is extremely good. Whenever I shop there, I am greeted and asked by more then one employee if I need any help in various locations throughout the store. I haven't had a negative experience yet. Military is also given a discount on all products purchased, unlike their competitors that only discount certain items. I also love that this is a pet friendly store. The customer service at this location has tanked lately. I'm doing some major home renovations so I have had the opportunity to visit quite a lot. Without fail, when I have requested help finding an item from an employee, I get the following responses: 1. "I don't know" 2. "That's not my Department" 3. "I don't really know anything about (insert item)" 4. Blank stare 5. "I don't think we have those" 6. "I don't know what that is" My dad and brother in law were visiting from out of state and they each separately had the same experience at this Lowe's, which they remarked was strikingly subpar to their local locations. Eventually I am usually able to figure things out myself, but it takes twice the time it would with assistance, so I will go with two stars rather than one. read more

The person that helped me, at first try to help , but didn't have a very good attitude. and then was rude and didn't care the information he told me was totally wrong. Terrible customer service which starts at the top with store manager Joe Shelton and his inability to resolve issues or handle customer interactions with a professional demeanor. The store lacks good service, lacks knowledgeable staff to assist anyone, and most time employees wander around talking but not helping. Often dirty, leadership and examples start at the top and the manager is dropping the ball big time it seems. read more

Called customer service, told them my situation, what do they do? Transfer me to the dept that doesn't pick up. I call back customer service and was put on hold for 5 minutes, then hung up on. I called back and said don't you dare hang up and told them I needed replacement glass. They said Joe was going to be in the paint dept when I arrived. Guess what, no Joe for 10 minutes of course. When I finally found someone and asked where an item was, she told me an estimated area rather than showed me. This store is great. It has everything I need, and it's much closer to me than Home Depot. However. Their customer service is the WORST I have EVER experienced ANYWHERE. The first, and only time I needed to return an item I approached the desk and, 45 minutes later, an associate called me to take care of my issue. Picture this: there were 9, yes nine, customer service employees behind the desk with 3 terminals. I understand that they may have had new employees to train, but, at one register, there were 3 employees, and at another 4. The last terminal opened up (not covered) as the representative went back to speak with a manager. At that point there were 10 people involved and only 2 registers with assistance. I can understand being low on staff, and needing to train, but this was so obviously NOT the case. It was instead poor manangement. I cannot understand why you need more than 2 people at any register at one time: a trainee and a manager. I'll not go there again and neither should you. I'll make the trip to Home Depot instead. read more

My husband and I have a lowes card so when we Went in to purchase a fridge we were disappointed that after wandering around the appliances for about 20 minutes no one came over to help us. Not a super big deal because the few employees we saw there were with customers so we rang the help button. Whomever came over to help was very short and seemed put off that we had questions and offered no assistance what-so-ever, so we left and purchased elsewhere. I went to Lowes in Augusta ME yesterday 03/25/2016 to buy some light fixtures and figured I would get the big box store experience, I was pleasantly surprised the woman working in the electric aisle was phenomenal, great attention to detail product knowledge was fantastic I could not of asked for a better sales experience. Cary did a great job she showed me everything that they had fromLED lights to regular lights. I will definitely give Lowes more business. Thank you Cary for all your help. read more

I was employed at this location for 4+ months as the Head Cashier and I Found Most if not all the Cashiers working here Awesome!!! I was at Lowe's in Augusta yesterday Sunday. I wanted a 4 X 8 ft sheet of plywood. I needed it cut too fit in my SUV. I waited and searched and waited for 45 minutes; finally said to H__L with it and left the store. Definitely do not recommend. read more
