The sellers of our new home use them to inspect the well. They said it just needed minor fixes and was otherwise fine. Turns out there's a major water leak under the driveway bubbling up through the driveway and everything but the pump needed fixed/replaced. I called them multiple times to come out again and check it out. After he spewed nonsense about caring about his customers and doing the right thing, he never followed through.$3,700 later, we got the Well Doctor to it instead! They did a great job. I noticed today that we had very low water pressure, so I called Lowell Pump & Water at 3:15pm on. Friday. The owner said his crew was on another job in clover and would get to us as soon as they were done. Sure enough, Barry & Trey showed up, diagnosed the problem and had me up and running by 7pm. They could have said I needed a new pump, tank, etc, but Barry was honest enough to say the pump was good but I had a leak in one of our pipes and the tank needed replacing. These people are a rip off. They came to my house and wanted to over charge for everything. They charged $175.00 just to show up and had on course of action. They wanted $3.500 to $4000 just the replace the pumb and the storge water tank. Then an additional $4000 to dig up the water line going to the well. Then said we needed a new well. Since when should someone charge $175.00 just to come and take a look. If you were to use these people you best have deep pockets. read more

Had my pump replaced 2 years ago by Lowell Pump. Cost me $2800. Woke up to absolutely no water randomly, but decided against calling Lowell Pump and called Well Doctor instead. Unfortunately, Well Doctor had to pull up the entire pump, and what they discovered absolutely baffled them and myself. I was told 2 years ago I was getting a "new" pump. The pump that was pulled up was obviously corroded and there's no way it was 2 years old. They also wired the pump with what looked like an extension cord that would not be suitable to be submerged in water??? I have provided pictures for reference. Now I am having to purchase a brand new pump and wiring 2 years later due to what Lowell Pump installed. Save yourself and DO NOT call this company. read more

They came out the same day! Great! They replaced my tank and pressure switch for around $1100. Assured me that the tank they installed was top of the line and to never buy a tank from Home depot or Lowes. There warranty does not cover labor and parts are good for one year.14 months later i had a problem but it was due to a busted pipe. But before i found the busted pipe i called a The Well Doctor. They were very informative! Bad thing is that Lowell Pump and Water did not install a gauge so you could not tell what the pressure was on the water line. So there for you could not adjust your pressure switch or even see that it is even working. That way you would have to call them back and pay for more labor. The tank they installed not that good i was told that is the cheapest tank you can buy at a professional plumbing warehouse. So i would not use them again. read more

Do not use this company!! Horrible communication. I would not recommend them to anyone. I called them on a Monday because my elderly mother had a leak from her well to her home. They came out to work on it, and right after they got there, they left because their backhoe broke. I was told they would be back in the next day or two. When I didn't hear from them in two days, I called. I told them my mother was without water and we had to do something. He told me if the backhoe wasn't fixed by the next day, he would come out and personally dig up the line. He never called back. Four days later, I still haven't heard from them. Lowell well and pump were the service providers I used when I bought my home. They remain the only well company I use. I came home from a trip last night with no water in the house. I called them during closed hours but they answered! Their service rep called this morning and was here in no time! They fixed my problem, educated me about my well and pump system and charged me an incredibly low price for all the work they did. They came to my house to replace a leaking water heater. They replaced my 40 gallon tank with a 38 gallon one. Took them 2 hours to complete work and charged me a price of $2194.96. After checking at Lowes for the cost of the heater they installed, it cost less than $700.00, so they charged almost $800.00 per hour for labor. No one I know makes that kind if money, not even the President of the US. Don't call them for service unless you are very rich. read more

Woke up with no water.. called Arnold at Lowell and he returned my call within 10 minutes. He had notes from the last time this company services the house under the previous owners. They had two men (Barry and Michael) come out within an hour from my call. They did a full diagnostic and came to us with their conclusion on what the issue was. While this was an expensive problem to fix, they worked efficiently all day, had wall supplies needed to address our issue on hand and we had water by the evening of the same day. Service was great! Our well bladder sprung a leak and they replaced it with a much smaller bladder. Told it was the only one they could sell to residential customers. Since found that was not true and they way over charged us. Got a quote from 2 competitors $300 less than they charged. Also left our old tank sitting outside the well house and said they were not allowed to haul it off. Now, we loose water pressure if we try to run the sink and the washing machine at the same time. Called the owner and he was surprised what we were charged and told. Said he'd do something and call back, but never did. Our opinion, total crooks and will never use them again. read more

Terrible company and would never recommend. Previous owner of house I bought recommended them. Had well pump go out within a yr of moving in ($1,200 bucks). I asked about warranty on the products and the owner said, "I keep all that info for you at my office." What? The "new" pump they installed also had issues. I got a second opinion from a much larger, established company and they said based off their tests the pump seemed to be worn. Likely another hack job company that installs old parts and uses shady tactics. When I complained it was impossible that "new" parts would wear out so quick, the owner raised his voice at me and said I should be lucky they came to my house so fast. I had read that this company, or business, had been in operation for quite some time, and when I called them on a Saturday I was pleasantly surprised to get an answer. After that conversation, and in light of their long history in the area, I thought that I needn't be too worried about their honesty and trustworthiness. Boy was I wrong! I gave them a job that would have taken me maybe 30 minutes to do, but didn't take on because I have never messed with a well pump before. After giving them specific instructions, they went to the house and fixed the problem (to their standards) with me not there, but my son recorded their whole 15 minutes worth of work, for which they charged me $225.00. After inspecting their work, I found that they had not done all that I asked. When I called to question the charges, they reviewed my bill and acknowledged that the charges were inconsistent with the service I received and assured me that corrective action would be taken. That conversation was the last time I heard from them, and all of my subsequent calls and messages have clearly fallen on deaf ears, and I've received no response to my request for an itemized bill. From this behavior it almost seems that this business may be closing its doors soon. In any case, they are no longer in business as far as I am concerned. Beware. read more

We were a little skeptical at first when they diagnosed the problem so quickly and just happened to have a replacement expansion tank to fix it. But they were right on the money! They had the tank changed out quickly, and our water pressure is much better. They also chlorinated our well for us.
