During the past 12 months, the number of tree services we have contacted is unbelievable... like, double digits, unbelievable. While most of these attempts resulted in never hearing back, we were left with a contract that no one showed up to deliver on and still had a yard full of uninvited guests. ALL of that was different when we called RMZ. Ruben returned calls quickly when he couldn't answer - yes, he even answered the phone. He answered all of our questions, explained the job thoroughly - including damage we could expect to our lawn. The job was projected to take 2 to 2 1/2 days, but was done in 1 (long) day. We explained that the noise was crazy loud and asked them to come back later. They said no. We are desperately trying to sleep. We read them the city noise ordinance code and they said we were welcome to file a noise complaint, so we did. We called and filed. Shocking that even after a polite phone call asking them to stop, reminding them it was against the law, they still wouldn't stop or come back later- or take the wood outside the residential zone to chip out where the noise levels are higher. That was incredibly rude and we will never be using this business for service. BE better neighbors, guys. We were cool to you and you were rude to us- our entire neighborhood was subjected to your rudeness and that's not going to be great for your business. You live here too.

I am fairly satisfied overall, but a few things stand out where I am not satisfied. With the seeding and landscaping, the workers did it as quick as possible and left. I had hoped to receive a little briefing on when to mow for the first time, but no such briefing occurred. This should happen for all new lawn seeding. A few days before landscaping work was done, I asked for some additional bushes to be planted. My request was accommodated, but there evidently was no additional landscape fabric brought for the additional space, no more than 200 sq ft in area. I didn't discover this fact until 2 months or so later, when all sorts of weeds and grass started growing. At first I thought the workers had tracked grass seed into the landscaping (lawn seeding done same day), which is possible, but upon closer scrutiny, I discovered there was no fabric laid on this section. It was the section completed, and it was a hot day--but there was no excuse for doing the job halfway like that. The workers just finished and said nothing. By the time I realized what had happened, the time of "guarantee" had already passed, so I did not complain. The reason I am leaving this review is because I am now doing the work Davidson Landscaping should have done. It is laborious for sure, I applaud anyone who does this kind of work, because it is hard on the body. If the employees had cared about a quality job, they would have secured some extra fabric, even if it took more time, and done it right.

Think twice before signing a contract with this company if you can't see how they work first. They cut our grass way too short, nearly killed it! Then they did not edge, weed eat or blow off grass clippings. Lawn care services are not cheap. We ended being charged for a full month, which included 80% of charges that were never rendered. This is/should be illegal. Not to mention possible damages to our grass. I am all for paying for actual service provided--even if it's bad. But, I did call Davison before leaving a review to see if we could get a partial refund, but they refused. I strongly recommend customers find reputable service from businesses with good character. *** just to add, we did call Davidson first to try and resolve this issue. Actually, we called several times. It was unsuccessful. Also, we have had multiple lawn experts explain to us that we have zoysia grass in the front yard. Not fescue. It is a high-quality grass that although we didn't personally plant, we do intend to take good care of. Either Davidson has much lower standards than we thought, or they are just trying to save face and saying it was good. Either way, it was definitely cut too short, regardless of what management wants to claim. Although we were extremely disappointed with the service as we received, we fully understand paying for services that are rendered. After the failed service by Davidson, my husband went out to blow off our driveway and walks when Davison did not. Also, it would've been difficult to cancel our services any faster than we did. We canceled right after our first mow was completed. We paid for multiple fertilizing lawn treatment and other yard care in our full package. As well as three additional mow jobs. None of those were received because we canceled. Of course, why would we wait any longer when the service we had received at that point was substandard. Again, my advice would be to pick a different company, there are lots of them. We are now using J&S Landscaping. They gave us the ability to have a single mow and verify that their quality of service is better. I do understand contracts, but any company that is interested in providing good customer service would be willing to charge only for services rendered. Imagine paying for a surgery you didn't actually receive just because you signed the paperwork with the hospital, that's insane. The hospital could never get away with it.
