We had an event last night for 350 at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and LowCountry Catering absolutely killed it. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient and the cost was reasonable. We had the roast turkey and roast beef carving station and I have to say, if my roast turkey at Thanksgiving came out as tender and tasty as the roast turkey they had, I'd be in heaven. The passed appetizers and grazing tables were a big hit. The decor was lovely, servers were super friendly and accommodating and really the food was amazing. Low Country Catering is truly amazing! We planned a wedding at Fernbank Museum with less than a year and we could not have done that without LCC and especially Mackenzie Gallagher! From the get go LCC was the first company to get back to us and so professional and courteous! We went to the tasting and fell in love with the food! I had read several reviews on this vendor as well as the others which were on the preferred vendors list for the venue I had selected. This particular vendor had also been listed on some other venues preferred list and was one of the few which I felt would best feed our party. We have a varied group with varied tastes so allowing us the control to select our menu was quite helpful. I wanted something that would be satisfying without being too heavy. I liked that the dishes were appealing to a broad range of pallets because of their simplicity. While the seasoning and sauces complimented the dishes in such a way that it brought an exciting flair to the country cuisine! :-)' Morgan was such a pleasure to work with and was so quick to provide updated estimates when things did change. She helped to create a menu that gave us what we wanted on a budget we could afford. The staff on site were so pleasant, they brought us hot plates when we didn't come straight over and set down as expected. When the vegetarians came around, the told them just to be seated and fixed their plate, including a salad and found them. This was a great extra touch that I didn't expect even though it was only 4 out of 95 guests. It actually made them all feel so special and they loved the vegetarian lasagna. We selected a pork and chicken dish with roasted potatoes and green beans. They served a nice garden salad and rolls plus tea and lemonade to drink. Once the baker brought the cakes, we had the whole meal! There was plenty of food for everyone and some left over that they packaged for us to take home (well our designated person since we headed off to our honeymoon). There was also some beer and wine left and they even snuck in some of the barbeque sauces with our take home even though we didn't have barbeque for our dinner. LowCounty provided a catered lunch that followed my company's annual meeting. LCBC provided barbecue, sides, desserts and all the fixings for several hundred people. As a huge fan of BBQ let me start by saying that the pulled pork, pork ribs, and barbecue chicken were all fantastic. I wish these guys had a retail / restaurant location. Two sauces were available, a traditional thick sweet / Kansas City type sauce as well as a vinegar based / Carolina style sauce. Sides were cole slaw, potato salad, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes (with gravy) and brunswick stew; the first two were good but the last three were pretty damn awesome. The mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy and brunswick stew were of the quality one would expect at a family pot-luck / holiday / special occasion dinner. Dessert choices consisted of banana pudding & brownies - both fantastic! LCBC also provided spot on Southern Sweet Tea (and also the unsweetened variety). LCBC employees provided great service. I am already looking forward to next year's luncheon (which I am sure will again be catered by LowCountry!). read more

LowCounty catered our company outing for several hundred people today. As a HUGE fan of BBQ let me start there and say the pork and chicken were both delicious. Two sauces were available, a traditional thicker sauce as well as a vinegar based sauce. I went back for seconds, then thirds. LowCountry Barbecue catered our engagement party, and they were absolutely fantastic. We had already loved their takeaway, so they were our first choice when we started planning the party. The buffet setup was perfect for the occasion - beautiful presentation, but nothing ostentatious. We had a pretty casual engagement party, but I know they can also do more elaborate set-ups for wedding receptions or corporate functions. The portions were massive, and we readily welcomed the leftovers. They offer a ton of options past traditional BBQ, especially for appetizers and sides. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I'm leaning towards dessert -- incredible peach cobbler, served bubbly and warm with vanilla ice cream. Yes, please. LBC were professional, courteous, and genuine throughout the entire process. I don't normally write reviews on yelp but being in the customer service business I wanted to write one for LCC on ever page that I could. We used Kaitlynne Grice. From the minute we contacted her she was on it! I have to say me and my daughter were a bit high maintenance and that did not bother her at all. She loved it and we joked about it. The tasting was remarkable especially after the tasting experience we had received prior to this one was awful, we all got sick. The food at LCC was just wonderful and the experience like no other I had had for a tasting. We were able to taste the exact food we wanted for the wedding not just a buffet. Kaitlynne was on top of everything, including when I forgot to add her to our final walk through at the wedding. OOOPS my bad, but she really wanted to be there so she made it work in her schedule. She want even upset and told me many times it was ok, it's a crazy time. Thank god she made it work even though our venue was an hour and 1/2 a way! lol At the walk through we went with several of her suggestions about the look and feel my daughter wanted. I was actually feeling like my daughter was a bridezilla but again Kaitlynne rolled with it as if she has had to deal with difficult people all the time. She kept saying it's her wedding and her day and we want to make it perfect. She came up with the suggestion that made all the difference to my daughter and we were so thrilled. All our vendors loved working with her and have suggested her to other brides. I recommended her and LCC to my daughters MOH who is getting married in September and they too fell in love with Kaitlynne and her team and LCC. Now I have another friend getting married in June in 2018 and I again reccomended Kaitlynne and her team. Weddings can be stressful so it is very important to have team players and LCC and all the team members there were it for us! I could not be more pleased with them! The day of was a fantastic day with absolutely no worries that Kaitlynn's team would deliver perfection and work with the rest of the vendors for a flawless day. It was perfect, I mean truly a fairy tale. I love all the compliments from the guest about how pretty the shooters were as well as how delicious everything was. As a vegetarian, I usually moan when I hear an event is being catered by a Barbeque place. Not so with LowCountry! Bennett Brown and crew put together over the top vegetarian options to go along with their beef, pork and chicken options. The last event I attended catered by Low Country included the most awesome grits I have ever tasted. According to the master of Barbeque at LowCountry, the grits were cooked for two hours. Shredded cheese, scallions, tomatoes (and bacon for the carnivores) were served as optional side items with the grits. I added cheese, scallions and tomatoes to mine -- and then hearing the advice of Mr. Bennett himself -- I dribbled a bit of barbeque sauce over the top ... Over the top! Low Country is good, very good. It's absolutely best the same day it's out of their delicious smoking units. That wonderful smoky flavor dissipates quickly as I've recently discovered. I picked up some pulled pork on Saturday, the day before Easter. The smell was amazing as I entered their catering warehouse in Smyrna. The meal it was intended for on Sunday was mildly smoky, and the day after.. Well, a very VERY light smoky flavor left on the unused aluminum containers remained. I've had such better BBQ in the Atlanta area, but Low Country prices are very reasonable. It's so very good the day of release, but loses steam very quickly as a day or so passes. read more

If i could give it no stars I would. Disgusting! Unfortunately we are Grand Princess Detainees at Dobbins and that is what they are serving us. Sometimes we aren't sure what it is they are serving us. Probably to save money they send salads for lunch. Salads are a promise that food is coming, not a meal. Low Country Barbecue is a top notch catering company! We hosted a fundraiser in our county which was catered by Low Country Barbecue. They met all of our expectations and more. The food was great. They prepared a pig for a "Pig Picken" which was amazing. Our guests were able to pull the pork right off of the pig and make their own sliders. The boiled corn is the best I've ever had. It's made in a huge cooker with the shucks pulled back and dipped in butter. We also served their BBQ pork and chicken. It was the best I've ever eaten! Prior to the wedding, Lisa, the event coordinator, met with me at the venue to make sure that we got exactly what we needed day of. During the reception our guests were raving about the delicious food. We had pulled pork, brisket, and tons of sides. People really loved the Mac and cheese and collards. I thought the potato salad and coleslaw were also top notch. The meat was tender and the sauces were outstanding! The staff from Low Country was very professional.
