Tom put me at ease from our first phone conversation and made the whole process simple and stress-free. We took pictures before the ceremony and Tom got great shots of our family and wedding party. Everyone was relaxed and smiling, and the pictures turned out beautifully with everyone looking their best. Tom and Polly were so friendly and easy to work with, and I found (to my complete surprise) that the photography session helped take the edge off my nerves before the ceremony. They were unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception, but they got great shots throughout the night. They captured sweet and funny moments that I didn't get to see at the time, since I was too busy visiting. I really can't recommend Tom Smarch Photography enough. It was clear that he had lots of experience with weddings and not only from the DJ perspective. When we met with Mark about the details of the event he methodically worked through what we wanted, as well as potential planning conflicts we may have in our schedule (maybe we should take sunset photos and then cut cake, etc). Since he has worked many aspects of the wedding experience (planning, DJ, etc) he was able to point out potential weak spots in our timeline and offer advice on how best to achieve the experience we wanted. For the event, we had a very specific entrance for the wedding party, entrance for bride/groom, and finale for (secretly choreographed) first dance. Our timing was pretty precise, down to the second, for all of the aforementioned and Mark got it PERFECT. It was really important to my wife and I, and it was reassuring when he showed up having clearly practiced for what we wanted. The same goes for the ceremony, as my wife's processional song was a secret to everyone there, even me. Mark is also a master of handling a crowd. He politely and respectfully nudged people into the right place, whether it be inattentive groomsmen about to make the wedding party entrance or getting folks efficiently through the catering line. He can even handle slightly intoxicated family member/friends looking to make rogue song requests. He does everything in his power to ensure that your big day is exactly what YOU want. Our wedding ceremony and reception was perfect, and Mark played a very big role in its perfection.

On the day of the shoot, her makeup artist did an incredible job with hair, makeup, and lashes, making me feel confident and radiant without feeling overdone. My company worked with Zach on headshots . He was given specifics and images of exactly what was…read morerequired . In addition to emails and pictures I told him before beginning my shoot that my company was very picky and needed images to be exactly like the examples provided. They were not even close and were rejected. He then went back and edited them , again not what I said was needed. His written response was to have our in house photographer attempt to correct them. We have had to use another photographer. He is now refusing to refund the money paid to him! He's saying all shoots are for services rendered , however there is no contract stating that. Stay away from this person! He is now offering a reshoot but knows , based on written documentation that we are past our deadline and cannot do reshoots . He is also saying there was a breakdown in communication prior to the shoot which can be proven incorrect, again with written documents.

Dawn is amazing. She has an eye for beauty and is extremely professional.
