First off, she had no personality. We asked that she wait outside my dressing room a few minutes while we were changing before the wedding and she acted ill about that? Also, my grandparents that came in from Alabama were feeling sick, so they left early. She expressed great annoyance that my husband and I spent 10 minutes giving gifts and saying goodbye to them before taking our photos before the reception. SHE WAS GETTING PAID FOR THAT 10 MINUTES! It was MY wedding so what was the problem? Then she was no help with poses. Most of our pictures will be the two of us simply standing beside each other. She gave no guidance or direction on cute poses. The only one that we asked about, she acted as if we were ignorant. She grabbed my husband hands and put it on mine and sarcastically said "There you go". Finally, the icing on the cake, the time it takes for her to give pictures back... In only 11 days it will mark 3 months of my marriage, and I still don't have my pictures. I don't mean my prints; I don't have my disk of pictures. I researched a long time and found that the average turnaround time for disks is 2-5 weeks. Also, my co-worker who was married two weeks after me has long received her disk and her prints!! My last email to her asking what was up was sent 5 days ago, and I still have no response. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even get them.

I worked with him and his assistant/girlfriend Haley (who is also a photographer), so I had two professionals for the price of one! I would hire Michael again for any of my photography needs in a heartbeat. I felt so comfortable with Michael and Haley and this was reflected in the pictures - I looked happy, warm, and like I was having a great time. They were respectful, kind, and attentive to what scenary/poses/props I wanted. Honestly, I'm a slightly high-maintenance person for events like these so I came prepared with a sign, cap/gown, dog, my dog's graduation cap, life-size 2017 balloons, champagne bottles, and additional items which I briefly mentioned in our email conversation. To others, I would imagine that this would be a bit overbearing but Michael was happy to work with me to make my vision come true! I strongly believe his professionalism and creativity are unmatched in the Athens area. In addition, Haley was kind enough to hold my props, fix my hair, and ensure that the lighting for each and every picture was perfect. Michael gave me suggestions on several different poses that provided me with a greater variety of pictures to choose from. So even if you're uncomfortable in front of the camera, Michael and Haley can transform you into a model! I also think Michael is great at capturing the flattering angles of your face (sometimes my face looks like a giant potato in pictures) haha. Again, I'm a broke college student but you only graduate once! Without a doubt, the experience and end result were absolutely worth the money!

He helped plan out the timing of the day and gave amazing advice whenever I asked. He laced up my dress when no one else could figure out how to, and he calmed me down when I felt like the whole day was derailing. Michael is everything you could hope for and more in a photographer and in a human being. Aside from this, the quality of his work speaks for itself! I am SO picky about photos of myself--very hard to please. I was very nervous about hiring someone for my wedding. Michael was reassuring and he understood my needs. When the time came, HE ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT. His photos made me feel so beautiful, and I will love them forever. I have received so many compliments on my wedding photos, and I am so thankful to have found Michael Rizza! You will probably have some regrets about your big day, but if you book Michael, that will NOT be one of them.
