Look, I know that some of you Yelp purists out there cringe when you see a review of a gas station. I find them incredible useful particularly when I am a long way from home. So if you have a long way to go, and a short time to get there, I suggest taking the Parachute exit and stopping here. As gas stations go, this location isn't particularly spectacular. There are a good amount of pumps, and navigating in and out is pretty easy. It is one of the first stops for many miles so it does get full. What sets this gas station apart is the view all around you as you pump gas. It is most certainly spectacular. This boy from below sea level hates waiting around while the tank fills. In this instance I didn't mind one bit. The view of the mountains made sure I was mesmerized while I waited. In summary, come here to get has and check out the scenery.

Lo-and-behold they did!! They guy was extremely kind and got us a new tire fast we were in and out in less than 30 minutes! (Granted I'm sure if he were busier than he was at the moment we called it would have taken longer but not much) he was efficient and valued our time as we did his. No bull, no annoyingly long chit chat; just a quick how are you, what happened, & how can I help. Cost was roughly $135 for the tire and labor which is about average for that tire. A++ I Would definitely go there again and definitely recommend him.

In less than 90 minutes they had it diagnosed, fixed, and I was back on the road with a repaired ignition coil. And I made my appointment on time. They were my personal NASCAR pit crew that day! Plenty of fuel pumps. A typical convenience store with a Mountain driving twist. You can buy chain and lots of basic but typical car parts, bulbs etc. The weinerschmitzel restaurant was a bit slow but it was Easter Sunday and only one person working. Sodas. Snacks. Clean restrooms. A solid stop with everything you need to get over the pass.

He then came back out for another dollar just to come back out for a quarter. I went in to speak with a manager about the theft to find out that it was the manager that cashed him it. He tried to tell me that my husband had been 1.85 short but when I confronted him about the fact that he came out for 2.25 he then tried to say that my husband was 2.85 short. How does any of that make any sense. So I'm other words don't go there unless you want to get stolen from.

I understand bad days and not enjoying customer service (I wouldn't wish customer service on anyone) but I've never had a staff member pick a fight with me before I even entered the establishment. We went to open the door and found it was locked, so we tried the second door immediately after the first door since we were just a little confused. We weren't upset or vocally angry, we didn't even say a single word other than 'oh!', but the staff member commented, "It's not going to just open without a key" and when we tried to explain that we were just caught off guard, which is why we tried the second door, he then said, "Yeah, if one door's locked, usually the other one is too." Yes, we know this, but it's odd that a gas station we've been to a billion times, and will inevitably go to a billion more, was locked. He was exceptionally condescending, and I'd rather not have to pick a fight with the guy every single time I have to grab a drink from there.

The cashier was trying to turn them off from her end. My mom walked in to the building and two men (in their 40's?) mumbled to the cashier and his friend, "stupid tourists". They were standing their chatting to each other. Our cashier did not do anything about their behavior. We are not sure if she heard them say it or not. I guess things in Minnesota are just far more advanced at the gas stations. They must get these "stupid tourists" a lot..

The gas pumps were easy to get in and out of even with a smail trailer, and the restrooms were clean. (My 3 year old didn't say they were yucky and he's quick to complain if a place has dirty bathrooms). Inside you'll find a typical C-Store with a slightly expanded range of offerings from coffee (They had a Douwe Egberts machine) to hot dogs. They also have a Subway franchise location here. 3 Stars.

The ladies working the counter were helpful and friendly explaining how the business was bought out and they were slowly converting over. Place was pretty clean including the restrooms. I bought some mini muffins, don't know why, just did. The were okay, as expected. They did have a good selection of everything you would want in a snack shop and then some. Too bad they will be gone.
