I like this Love's Travel Stop. It is very convenient to get on and off of 1-40. The restrooms are clean here. The convenience store didn't have the disinfecting wipes I was looking for but I know I bought them here before so maybe they don't carry that product anymore. I did get some lotto tickets and the gas seemed cheaper than other stations. read more

Of all truck stops, I love Love's the best. They always have decent food choices, restrooms are clean and employees are friendly. This particular Love's was super busy at 330pm, but we gassed up, grabbed a quick snack and were on our way in a jiffy! read more

Mark Smith, Shift Leader, was an answered prayer when I had car troubles on Sunday, Father's Day. I was driving from Morganton to Mission Hospital in Ashville to see my husband who was scheduled for heart surgery. After filling my car with gas, I tried to start the engine but it wouldn't start. I was stranded. Mark came out and gave me a new battery for my key fob. But that didn't help. So he brought out a portable battery charger to charge my battery. It held the charge and I was able to return to Morganton to get a new battery for the car. Two hours later I was still able to make it to the hospital to see my husband. Mark and his team were very gracious and kind in helping me and my family. We will be forever grateful. Thank you. read more

Easy stop off the interstate. I only pumped gas here and moved on down the road as I am minimizing exposure with COVID-19. There is a rest area just four miles west on 40 offering clean bathrooms and social distancing along with an opportunity to stretch your legs. This station is Not the cleanest or newest, but pumps worked and the price for gas was really low! read more

Not bad, the few times I've been there. Usual gas station. Never ventured inside... but they do have a Godfather's Pizza as a wing. There's a KFC tucked away between Love's and Exxon in the back and you'll usually pump gas and smell fried chicken. It's one of those ... "oh so bad" places to be when you're hungry and pumping gas. read more

Cheapest gas around. I wait until I pass by to fill up. Inside is clean and well stocked. They always run specials on sodas, energy drinks and snack to attract truckers. There is also a Subway attached that sell Godfather's Pizza. I eat at the Subway frequently - love the Buffalo Chicken sub or the new flatizzas. Cody and Cassandra always fix a nice lunch. Stopped here for gas on 4-23. I noticed that the security tape was cut on the gas pump. I wiggled the credit card reader and it was solid. I proceeded to use my card for gas. Two days later I get several fraudulent transactions from my card in the area. I was able to dispute the charges to get my money back. I called the store to let them know that one of their pumps may be compromised and the person I spoke to said that it may just have been an oversight on replacing the security tape when they changed the receipt paper. He didn't seem interested in looking into the possible security breech. BEWARE...make sure to check those pumps for any sign of tampering. read more

There aren't too many decent truck stops on 40 in the western half of NC, so this one is where I always end up. There are normally some pumps open, clean bathrooms, and a subway that's open late. Its more or less an oasis of sorts. read more

Not a bad place. The gas prices are usually reasonable and competitive with other nearby stations. The bathrooms are clean and the Love's branded beef jerky is pretty awesome. Can you say the perfect road trip food?? This particular location has a Subway/Godfathers attached which makes it a convenience place to stop for a quick bite and fill up the ride outside. The only downside is the Subway aroma (you know what I'm talking about). It will linger on your clothes throughout the remained of the day if you stay for more than 10 mins. read more
