Lakeland Volkswagen - The alleged "update" I interrupted by opening the drivers door.

I came away very happy with my sales lady and very satisfied with my purchase. When it comes to service it's a whole different matter. There I feel like they have zero respect for me or my time. Last week I waited for more than 5 minutes while they had a private conversation about food and TV before they even acknowledged my presence. I came in for a routine oil change for which I'd made an appointment in advance . This time just like last time it took more than 2 hours. For an oil change! Yes it seems their lack of respect for your time is large.

Buyer beware. Do your due diligence before trusting Lakeland Volkswagen with warranty-related…read morerepairs. Over Thanksgiving, I brought my 2021 VW Atlas in for repeated stalling and a Start/Stop system error -- a serious safety issue that included the vehicle shutting off while driving with my wife and our two week old newborn in the car. The dealership diagnosed a failed EVAP carbon canister, which is covered under Volkswagen's extended warranty. At the same time, they documented "heavy deformation" of the fuel tank and confirmed it required replacement. Despite this, I was required to pay out of pocket for the fuel tank replacement. Fuel tank collapse is widely recognized as a consequential failure of a faulty carbon canister due to excessive vacuum in the EVAP system. Instead of honoring coverage, the dealership presented a "discount," but I was still charged over $1,200 for a repair directly tied to a covered component. My advice: - Get everything in writing - Question any "discount" offered on warranty-related repairs - Don't assume a repair tied to a covered defect will automatically be treated as consequential damage - Escalate the matter to Volkswagen Customer Care This experience has been extremely disappointing given the safety implications involved.

I absolutely recommend anyone needing service to drive the extra hour to another Ram, Dodge, Jeep,…read moreChrysler service center. I have brought my truck in 3 times and each time I have been incredibly frustrated with service, or lack of service. Every time I call no one answers. They ignore me for 25-30 min when I arrive, I just stand there. They won't even look up and say, "hi, be with you in a minute" and they avoid eye contact. 1st visit the quote for oil change with online service was off by 2x the price. 2nd time; they charged us a huge fee for diagnosing our truck and resetting computer, even though I had a coupon that said it was free. They said there was nothing wrong with truck, it just needed a quick reset. Their justification for the high price of the 2 min reset, "you should have told us you had the coupon when you pulled in". I tried to fight it and in the end I ate it, coupon in hand. Fine. 3rd and final; the truck started to make a horrid sound when turning left and the 4-wheel trouble light came on. Because they are closest dealership and I did not want to risk driving truck to another far away dealership I decided to try once more with them. When I brought truck in the trouble light was off but sound still happening. They diagnosed computer and found no reason. I said to go 40 mph and turn left and you'll feel/hear it. They drove it and said it was fine. I begged the desk girl to have tech call so I can explain. No call. They said there is nothing wrong with truck and charged diagnostics fee. The sound/feel happened less then 2 miles from dealership. TO ADD INSULT- they sent me a message to bring my truck in for a trade in value... are you serious. A couple days later I get a message begging me to give a good review.... Then the desk girl texts me AGAIN, asks me to bring truck in for routine oil change. It's not time and they will never get my service again! I will buy my next new Ram 2500 anywhere but here!
