My favorite part was the firepit lounge--it's the perfect place to unwind before your appointment. I'd definitely recommend arriving about 15 minutes early so you have time to enjoy it. I booked a student massage, which was an incredible value at just $48. Was it the best massage I've ever had? No--but it was absolutely worth the price. My student therapist was kind, attentive, and checked in throughout the massage to make sure I was comfortable and that the pressure was okay. I really appreciated how thoughtful she was. Between the beautiful atmosphere and the affordable student services, I'll definitely be back. They offer a variety of treatments, and after seeing the space, I'm excited to try more of what Valo has to offer.

I got an anti-aging facial at VALO and I have to say it was one of the best I've had. I really love…read morespa treatments and make it a point to go to high-end spas when I'm on vacation; but just because there's a hefty price tag on it doesn't mean it's necessarily that much better in terms of quality. The actual facial I received here was incredible. I would call VALO a demi spa in that it has some amenities, but not that many. They do have a nice locker room and offer spa style robes and sandals, and you can take a shower after your service if you like, but they don't have a hot tub, a sauna, a steam room, etc. Their robes were pretty size inclusive, the biggest one I saw was a two XL. The facial room itself was nicely appointed, and had a feature I haven't seen in a long time, which was a little light display on the ceiling that was very soothing. The facial bed/table was very comfortable and ergonomic. The facialist was warm and friendly, but professional. She spoke to explain things as she was doing them, and to warn me when something would be cold or bright, but didn't speak so often that I felt like she was interrupting my Zen. I can tell she was very well trained, and her massage technique was excellent. Her hands felt experienced, and the way she moved from treatment to treatment was seamless. The only thing I noticed that could be improved upon was the volume of the music in the lobby. I really like the music they had, which was sort of a more modern spa track, but as the receptionist was giving me the tour, she spoke with her back to me and between that and the music I couldn't hear what she was saying.

I had such a great massage here with Kaitlyn! I booked a one hour pregnancy massage for $90, and it…read morewas well worth it. Kaitlyn mentioned in the beginning that she does medium pressure, not deep tissue. I was disappointed to hear this, however, the pressure she used was perfect! She asked about any problem areas, and I explained a few spots in my back that are always tight. She spent a good amount of time on these, and they feel very relaxed afterward. The whole experience was very calming, the room is set up well, lights dimmed to a good setting, and the sheets in bed are comfortable. The pregnancy bed has an opening for your belly, so lying here was the most comfortable. I've been on my stomach in months! When I flipped over, she put a soft pillow over this opening, so it was also comfortable to lie on my back with the opening covered. The cover itself has a slight angle upwards near your head, making it comfortable for a pregnant woman to lie on this, as you are not flat on the bed. Overall, this was a fantastic massage! The only thing I would change is that the music was incredibly slow, and I prefer a bit of a melody to help my brain relax. This is a very minor note, and just my personal preference. I would highly recommend booking a massage at oasis with Kaitlyn!

This place by far was the least expensive of the places we found online - so much so that I was leery until I read through the reviews. Upon arrival, the ladies were very friendly, and while they do try to upsell you on lotions and essential oils, they weren't pushy about it. We were led to a pretty basic dimly lit room - no frills there - but the massage itself and the hot stones were great. $130 for a couples hour long massage just can't be beat, and I plan to treat myself (and the bf if he behaves) more often.

We talked a little in the beginning, then went silent (as I prefer this), she was very good at deciphering what I preferred as a first time client. She asked me of any problem spots/areas to avoid, and checked a couple times to see if things were feeling good. The amount and duration of pressure were great, and she even did a little cupping which I was very pleasantly surprised did not hurt as I thought it would! Overall this was a great massage, especially as I felt Rachel read me/my preferences very well and did a great job in meeting them. The salon itself is gorgeous--very impressive lobby with a staircase on either side leading you upstairs! I also loved the sauna/steam room offering, and was pleasantly surprised to find a shower as well, which was stocked with any supplies you may need there. It was a very private setting. Although the $110 (plus tip) for a 1 hour massage is not something I would typically spring for, it was well worth the money and I see why their prices are this high.
