I could go on and on for days about my experience here AND the owner, Emily. I went to 3 other charleston bridal shops and they didn't hold a candle to this one. This had the edgy styles I was looking for, and her knowledge and eye for style is unmatched. I told her my vision and every dress she pulled was a win. besides the insanely amazing service, it was spotless and felt so classy inside. completely different than any other shop i've been to. JUST GO!!! read more

Emma was super helpful and I found a dress that I LOVE! Would definitely recommend this shop!

My daughter got a very expensive dress. We paid the huge fee to have it rushed. They did not make any of the adjustments to the dress that they were supposed to make. It cost us an exorbitant amount of money to get the dress altered in time for the wedding. They were also not near as warm and genuine as the other stores we visited. I greatly regret that my daughter chose her dress from this store. I just want to let other people know before they get taken like we did. read more

I first went to the Atlanta store and had a pretty sad experience. The manager, Emily, was the person helping me and she was not friendly at all. My whole family and I felt extremely uncomfortable. She didn't ask many questions about me or my fiancé. I had to tell her who I brought with me because she never asked. She never told us any info or facts about the dresses - so we never knew who made them, what type of dress it was, or anything of the sorts. She also only let me try on 4 dresses because she said they wouldn't have anything I liked (tule ballgown). And she only let me bring out 2 dresses to the main lobby to look at in the main mirror. On the other hand, my experience with Nicole in Charleston was incredible. She did everything Emily didn't and was so helpful. She never once made me feel like a burden for asking to try on more dresses the way that Emily did! We LOVED our experience with her. She was genuinely interested in my family and my fiancé and let me bring every single dress to the lobby to try on. I 10000% recommend asking for her in Charleston, as Emily is also the manager there and we wanted to be sure to have someone different. Nicole made our experience wonderful and I ended up purchasing my dream dress! The reason I gave this review 4 instead of 5 stars was because of my experience in Atlanta. read more

Lovely Bride Charleston - Bridal Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Lovely Bride is the BEST bridal salon. I went to the locations in DC and in Charleston, both were absolutely amazing. The bridal consultants there made me feel so special and helped me choose the perfect dress. It's a secluded, private session in their beautiful open rooms with big mirrors and couches for your guests. I said "yes to the dress" at Lovely Bride Charleston and I wish I could go back and do it all again. read more

Lovely Bride Charleston - "I Said Yes to the Dress" photo with my guests at Lovely Bride Charleston - Bridal Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

I had an amazing experience here! Nicole was an incredible bridal consultant, made the experience fun, comfortable, and most importantly- successful! We had the whole store to ourselves and it made me feel very special, and I was able to focus on me, and my dress journey instead of seeing other brides to be also trying gowns on. I found my dress, and was honestly so happily surprised with the price too! Highly recommend read more

Go here!! Nicole at Lovely Bride CHS is an absolute angel and made the entire experience so personal and exciting. I wanted to ask my mom to be my MOH during our appointment and Nicole let me take the time to get back into the dress I chose in order to ask my mom. I never felt rushed and Nicole was so interested in my engagement story and the loved ones I brought. She put me at such ease and made me feel like I was the most important person in the room. I would literally make up an excuse to go see her again. Couldn't have imagined a better experience, through and through. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. We visited the Lovely Bride early in 2022. My daughter left in tears. It was as though the two young gals helping us wanted to get on with their Friday night and didn't have time for us. Since then my daughter has been to two places (one in Chicago and one in Charlotte). She had delightful experiences at both. We are from Charleston and know Southern hospitality. Lovely Bride on King Street was not what we are used to. read more

I had the best experience at Lovely Bride with Nicole. Going into the appointment I was extremely nervous and apprehensive, but Nicole made me immediately feel so comfortable. Before we had even spoken, she had looked at my Pinterest and ensured me that she loved my vision and already had pulled two dresses that she thought I would align perfectly. One of the first two she brought ended up being perfect for me. She is amazing at her job and went out of her way to make sure I was happy. 10 out of 10 would recommend working with Nicole; I can't say enough wonderful things about her. read more

Bridal Heaven! I purchased by wedding gown from here and had an incredible experience from start to finish. I first saw my dress on Instagram (Stevie by Made With Love Bridal) and found out that Lovely Charleston was carrying her. It was very easy to make an appointment online and we ended up having the whole store to ourselves. Molly was the consultant who helped me and she was beyond helpful and not the least bit pushy. I tried Stevie on and immediately knew it was my dress. Molly and the Lovely Bride Charleston team were very communicative throughout the entire ordering and pick up process. Besides the gorgeous Made With Love gowns, Lovely carries several other amazing designers and I'm confident any bride would find the dress of her dreams here. Gorgeous veils and accessories as well to complete your look for the big day! read more

Lovely Bride Charleston - Alexandra Grecco gowns...so dreamy - Bridal Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

I had a sub-par wedding dress shopping experience the day before I went to Lovely and was feeling unsure about the entire process - Nicole at Lovely Charleston changed everything! From accommodating us when we arrived 30 minutes early on accident, to truly listening to what I was looking for and bringing out dresses that felt like me - I could not have had a better wedding dress shopping experience. My mom, sisters and I are still talking about how much fun we had! I could have left with any dress she brought me and have been happy - she truly took time to understand my style and it showed. We'll be back when my sisters are engaged to find their dresses :) Thank you Nicole and Lovely for an amazing experience! read more

Emily was THE BEST!!!!! She was so kind and helpful in giving me all possible options and helping me narrow down everything to find a dress I LOVE! I initially came in thinking I wouldn't find a dress that day, but my experience with Emily made it so worthwhile and I ended up finding an amazing dress! Would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone thinking about buying a wedding dress! read more

I recently accompanied one of my best friends and one other bridesmaid to her first bridal appointment. The moment we walked in Emily was rude and pushy. Not to mention, she never even introduced herself. Regardless, we were so excited and told her the budget and the bride began to try on dresses. The very first dress was incredible, and ended up being the one the bride fell in love with! However, Emily had pulled a dress that was above the strict budget we gave her. The bride tried on probably 15 more dresses before we circled back to the "dream dress." Well, this one was pricey one. She offered to lower the price because of the mistake- but the lower price was STILL over budget. That's just tacky. It would have been a one-star experience if the dresses weren't so beautiful! read more

I had two appointments at Lovely Bride before saying YES TO THE DRESS! After my first appointment I canceled with my other bridal appointments because I had such a great experience at Lovely! Nicole was my stylist and she was fantastic!! She made me feel so comfortable and after telling her what I was looking for she pointed me in the right direction. Overall it was a great experience. I had so much fun and felt confident after walking out of my appointment. Becoming a Lovely Bride is something I will never regret!!! read more

Wonderful experience! Super cute salon with modern vibes. The salon has an incredible selection of dresses from ~10 - 12 different designers. The salon was a great place for me to visit early in the dress shopping process as I was able to try on a wide selection of dresses and styles. I worked with Molly during my appointment last weekend. She was a doll and incredibly helpful throughout the experience - she did a great job pairing belts, jewelry, etc. with dresses to create complete looks. This allowed me to better evaluate what dresses I liked and didn't like. Thanks, Molly! read more

What a wonderful experience all the way around. Emily was such a delight to work with. Lovely Bride has an incredible selection of gowns ranging from classic silhouettes to bohemian designs. I never felt rushed trying on dresses and the shop couldn't be more stunning inside. So grateful my experience buying a gown from them was simple and hassle free. I have already recommended them to friends, but I will definitely continue to do so! read more

I visited the Charleston store and had Nicole as my stylist! She was amazing and the whole experience was perfect. She brought all the dresses I wanted to try on and more. She really understood my vision and was so great. I was the last appointment of the day but she did not make me feel rushed at all. All the dresses were so beautiful!! 10/10 Recommend!! read more

This was my first trip to try on dresses, and honestly, I only booked this to give my mom and me the opportunity to take advantage of trying on dresses for the first time together while we were on a girls' trip to Charleston. The shop was beautiful and Emily was phenomenal. I ended up ordering 'the dress' that weekend and could not be more excited about the dress or happy with the experience overall thus far. read more

10/10 would recommend! This dress shop was very different to the other two that I visited in a good way. The ladies greeted me, my mom, and sister so kindly and offered us drinks. The inside was SO cute. They also offer the most unique and boho styles in the Charleston area. I did not see ANYTHING like what they offer anywhere else. I did unfortunately wait a bit longer than I should have to go dress shopping but the ladies were very understanding and worked with my timeline. With the help of them, I did end up finding my dream dress and fingers crossed there will be no delays due to COVID and the supply chain issues with the rushed shipping! Even after my appointment I had a billion questions because I was in such a daze when I found the one and Nicole was more than happy to answer any and all questions I had. I would highly recommend this shop! read more

Lovely Bride was one of 3 bridal shops I visited with my sisters while in Charleston this December. It was the shop I was most excited to visit but, ultimately, was the biggest letdown. The associate helping me, Nicole, was nice but lacked some of the excitement and energy we received from the other stores we visited. It may have been an off day but she also seemed less well-versed in different option for ways to customize the dresses/alteration options whereas the associates at the other stores had tons of advice and guidance. It's a cute shop but I would love to see more energy and focus spent on keeping the dresses in good repair (there were a couple that had stains that looked like coffee on them) and having a variety of tools to assist in the dress try-on process. They only had very large clips and some strips of fabric that looked like sheet fabric. Again, at the other stores they were able to use clips and more delicate pins and had a variety of stain, lace etc. fabrics to help envision/mock-up different strap options. It was a bummer too that they only had one sample veil that I could try on with each dress (at other shops, there was a variety available so the associate could thoughtfully pick out veils that actually matched based on different dresses I was wearing and even had bouquets to help you get the full picture for your big day). It was the only shop of the 3 that charged at $25 appointment fee -- but was also the only shop that didn't offer us water or champagne. I was left scratching my head what the fee was for. Finally, the sizing did NOT feel inclusive. Each dress was about a size 8 so most had to be left unzipped, unbuttoned, or I couldn't even get on at all! It just felt very clear that the shop was catering to a certain kind of woman and, overall, didn't put much effort into the experience for brides. read more

We visited this store a couple of weeks ago and received very poor customer service. My daughter actually left the store in tears. The associate was attentive at first, but the longer we stayed the more rude she became, and were not there more than an hour, in fact it was under an hour. This experience was so unfortunate, when we hoped it would be a beautiful day. We won't be purchasing a gown from the Charleston store. We plan to go to the Charlotte store in NC to make our final decision. We deserved better... read more

After a horrible experience at a nationwide chain, I found myself scrambling to look for dresses a month before my wedding. Lovely is available for appointments on Sunday, unlike a lot of other shops and I quickly made a last minute appointment to try and find the right dress. Jaye greeted me in and made the place feel like home, making an overwhelming process stress free. Her cordial personality and easy-going attitude made all the difference. She was extremely helpful in finding the right style that fit my body type and personal interests, all while upholding my budget. My experience was nothing but lovely. read more

Emily made finding the perfect dress such a great experience! She went out of her way to find jewelry to match the look I was going for. The shop is gorgeous and the dresses are stunning! I recommend every soon to be bride visit Emily. read more

My experience from the moment I was seated and offered a glass of bubbly, by the very gracious and lovely Emily, I knew I was going to find my dress there. By that point I'd been in and out other bridal shops, but Emily's quiet efficiency and politeness was welcoming. Too many other bridal stores seems to have far too many snooty rude and condescending women souring what is supposed to be an exciting experience. My budget wasn't a large one and I worried that I'd be treated like a second class citizen. Thankfully this was not the case at Lovely Bride on King Street. The atmosphere was very relaxed, yet not without the touch of elegance required to make you feel bridal--no matter your budget. Emily was very patient and sweet despite my indecisiveness--I thought I'd gone in knowing what I was after but in the end, as it turned out, I chose something I never thought I would. It's true: when you know you know. Emily made it all so effortless despite, for only a moment, feeling defeated and frustrated (which I think was because I was too concerned about what the mothers wanted). On my second visit, to pick my dress up a few months later, I went alone. I think I preferred it this time--no more voices ;) Only Emily's and she was thoughtful and honest and made the experience as great as the first. She helped me find the perfect veil--her feedback and knowledge much appreciated--and then, after examining the dress a second time for imperfections (of which there were none) she carefully sent me off with my beautiful dress. Highly recommend you give Lovely Bride a chance to help you find The One. read more

Emily is absolutely the best; that is all I can say. She was excited for me but also very relaxed and chill which was what I needed! She knew how to move the process along when she could tell I was focusing too much on petty details, and she also knew how to help me savor moments that I was rushing due to anxiety. I was able to share my anxieties with her so I felt like she was totally on my side. I live in NYC and could have gone to the NYC location, but I'm glad I went to the location in Charleston because I got such personal attention and did not feel rushed. read more

Emily is amazing! I had a not so great experience at a different location, but Emily made this a phenomenal experience for me. She paid attention to every detail, walked me through the dresses, made great suggestions and helped me to find the dress that suited me best based on what I wanted. She even reminded some of the bossier individuals in my group that she was there to make sure every dress pulled was something I would want. I really can't say enough good things, I am just so happy with this experience. read more

This was my very first wedding dress shopping experience and I am sad to say it was not a good one in terms of customer service. The consultant was a bit pushy towards me and my two bridesmaids who accompanied me. She didn't introduce herself and began our welcome by saying she was going to be bossy and that decisions were going to be made today. This may have been her way of saying "we will find you a dress" but it came off rude. Additionally, she failed to mention up front what the mask policy was and then made me feel embarrassed when I moved it out of the way for a photo and told me she "would pass the fine right along to me". I was extremely apologetic but embarrassed- both of which could have been avoided if the policy was laid out at the start of the appointment. The last thing that made the experience a bad one is that the dress she pulled that I fell in love with was $600 over my maximum budget, $1000 over my desired budget I laid out at the start of the appointment. I will say the shop is adorable, I was able to see a wide variety of dresses and I did find a dress I loved- however I did not get it as it was over budget. :( read more
