I brought my 5 year old Springer Spaniel in to see one of the vets to look at a boil on his ear. As…read moreit turned out, he had broken a tooth, too. He was scheduled for surgery by the vet 10 days ago. I called 5 days after my initial visit, which is when I was told that my vet had left the clinic/hospital. I brought him back into meet the new vet and to give her a chance to see what she would be doing with the ear and tooth. This morning, I received a call from the receptionist to inform me that my second vet had left the clinic/hospital. I must say, I was very impressed by both vets with whom I interacted. The receptionist gave me a choice of two doctors that could complete the procedure, but that was it - just two names without any explanation or a reference to their website so I could review their credentials. The most concerning part of this situation is that these vets either left by choice or they were fired. It's hard to imagine that they were fired, since they were two of the most competent vets I have met over the course of 40 years and six dogs. Since general anesthesia carries a certain amount of risk, it's unsettling to think I was given two names without any explanation no other information. I'm going to reach out to the tech who was with us to see if I can get a recommendation on who I should choose. Am I crazy??? Don't you think that the Director/President of the hospital would call in this type of situation instead of a receptionist and a website that offers absolutely no information on their "team", which is one of the key components of the menu on their website. They've been open for four years or so and they haven't finished their website yet. Could that be due to the fact that they have so much turnover that it doesn't make sense to add bios? My first visit there, which was 5+ years ago, we had an appointment at 3:00 pm. We arrived 10 minutes early only to be kept waiting for 3:45 minutes. By the time we got out of there, we had been there for 4 1/2 hours and a bill for $850 for 2 CBC tests and some broad spectrum antibiotics. I vowed to never return. I guess the urgency of the current situation trumped my vow not to return. I have been wondering if these people have pets or kids. Anyone with either would probably understand how inadequate it is to call and provide two names without any further detail, other than that one was female and one was male. There was no suggestion to bring my dog into the clinic for a quick review to see what they would be doing during the surgical procedure. I find so many things are beyond the pale of my imagination with regard to how best to handle a situation where two vets that had scheduled surgery left, each within five days after meeting both. If anyone knows of an online information platform where I can go to gain more information, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance for any advice or referrals you might be able to provide. - CL

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. Several years ago, I was CVT. And so, my standards…read morewere very high. We have taken all 3 of our dogs here for many years now. Starting with initial vaccines, then unfortunately we had one of our dogs get bloat. This was an emergency that introduced me to Dr. White & Jackie (technician) Both were extremely above what I ever expected, especially since I was a previous tech. After that we entrusted them with our new puppy. Who was later fixed there. We also have worked with Dr. Johnson who again is above and beyond a fabulous Veterinarian. Angela at the front desk along with a few others are great. Kathlyn who was a receptionist in the back was also above & beyond helpful and courteous to my husband & myself. Jackie to me as been one of the best technicians I have seen. Again, I highly recommend this place for your pet's care.

We recently got our dog back from Paws Unleashed after a three week board and train. I cannot say…read moreenough kind words about the hard work, dedication, and care they put in with our dog Kai. We have a cattle dog/GSD mix who has a strong prey drive and would lunge at about anything moving while on walks and freak out when people would come to the door or we would get a delivery at the house. We reached out to Ray and then got to work right away. The changes in Kai are so astonishing to see, he has become a different dog in the best ways possible. They set us up with all the tools and training we need to continue Kai's success and I am just so impressed. He is calm when we leash him up, he is in tune with us, he knows how to practice place while inside and calmly greet people, and while he still has work to do and try's to get away with things sometimes; things like bikes/golf carts on walks are no longer such a stressful situation and we can help guide him through his anxiety and continue on our way. They were also great in keeping us updated, sending videos and pictures which help put me at ease and it was fun to see his progress each week. The only thing I wish is that we did this sooner. We are excited to go more places with our dog & have the confidence and tools now to do so successfully. And it's great knowing we can call them anytime we need help going forward! So much thanks to Ray and Edgar!

GROOMING DEP'T, INGRID, MANAGER, SHE NEEDS BE RETRAINED. I called in yesterday and she was gone for…read morethe day. She calls me this morning, and hardly gives me the opportunity to explain much of anything. she goes on rambling and making me out to be wrong about what is going on with my dog. My dog is an inside dog. I do not have her out unless we are going in the car somewhere. I work all day and have not taken her anywhere except to PETCO in Vero Beach, FL around July 26, 2026, to get just her nails trimmed. First time we took her only 1 person needed to trim her nails. this last time, they needed a second person to hold her. Well, my dog now has fleas. She did not have them prior or we would have noticed scratching and would have checked her to see if anything. This INGRID, is going to go on and on about it is way past the time for the fleas to show up. So not only is Ingrid rude and hung up the phone, but she apparently does not know her business. Fleas don't just hop on a dog and say HERE I AM, CATCH ME. They go into that fur, they lay eggs in the skin, and it takes time for all this to show up. So this INGRID, is going to keep rambling on not allowing me to get a word in, telling me there is no way my dog could catch fleas from their clean store, but yet that is exactly what happened. I tried saying, possible the person who held her for the trim this time, had a flea or two on their clothing, and we know fleas don't stay with us, they burrow in on the animals. But INGRID has to keep yapping away that I now have to raise my tone asking her to let me speak, and she hangs up. Well, I want corporate involved in this. INGRID needs to be retrained and taught how to speak and let a customer speak as well. All she did is talk and talk and blame me for what happened with my dog. Said she was in only 5 minutes. Never. It is a walk in and we always have to wait. So, I will stand by that it was PETCO that caused this with my dog. I should have known better. I have heard so many bad reviews on this PETCO. But figured, how bad could it be to just get a nail trim. Well, poor dog itching away, bathing her and now getting meds from her Vet to treat it, because of this claim from INGRID, THAT PETCO IS SO CLEAN. I will share my experience with everyone and anyone that ever brings this stores name up. Guaranteed
