I called one shoe repair place but they didn't inspire confidence in their ability to complete the work today or do the job, at all. Next, I called Love-Way and the gentleman who answered the phone responded with enthusiasm and absolute confidence that he could both complete the refresh and get it done as soon as I could bring the shoes to him. I immediately headed over and was greeted by the same enthusiast charm that I experienced on the phone. The shop is small and very cluttered with shoes, materials, machines everywhere! This is truly a workshop! None of that fancy retail decoration. This is where work gets done! He took my shoes and asked when I wanted to pick them up. Since the wedding was in a few hours, I said I could wait, if he could do them now. He replied "I'll get on 'em, like ugly on an ape!" And his partner started working on them immediately. As I waited, other customers kept coming, bringing him more and more shoes to repair, from single pairs to laundry baskets full! Obviously, they are very popular and do good work. Willing and capable of fixing any and everything from the cheap pair of shoes that you love and wearout often, to the really expensive, intricate pair that you might be nervous to trust someone with repairing. I was quite surprised with how reasonable his price was and the work is quality! So the next shoe we bought in for repair was an expensive athletic trainer. These were new shoes that were a gift from my son. One of the Shoes' sole was separating so rather than sending them back for replacement, we just took it into KJ shoe repair. It cost us eight dollars to get it fixed well worth it and we got the shoe back in 48 hours. And he let us know that if the shoe comes apart again that he would fix it again at no cost. Phenomenal customer service! So far so good the shoe is holding! I have a leather purse with a broken zipper. I will definitely bring it in to see if he can fix it.
