And the playground is safe and wonderful for the very youngest of learners. They use an app which provides updates including photos and videos. As a new parent, leaving my child at daycare made me very nervous. But the staff has my full trust and their stellar communication has given me great confidence. I see my child being social and exploring at such a great pace. I really think it takes a village to raise a child and I consider Primrose a part of ours. We are very grateful.

However, the manner in which they handled the case of our 6-year old being physically abused by one of their teacher is absolutely SHOCKING. The apathy, and eventual attempt to turn the case (of physical abuse against a child) into a case of parent-teacher conflict is appalling. I have attached pictures of my email exchanges with the Casa Lala team, and their poor handling of this case. Going by their Google Reviews, this is not an isolated incident. Another parent who reported abuse against their child was treated unfairly too.

I first started learning about Casa Lala about a year ago when I was having problems trying to find…read moresummer programs and after school care for my child. Because of my health I have not been able to work and I have no child care so I have not been able to do much other than take care of my child. I do believe that the connections that I made and a lot of the time that I spent helped Casa lalla directly receive funding. And in return they were very generous in allowing a scholarship for my child to attend Aftercare as well as summer programming. However after an entire school year of communications fails, I'm being told on the very last day of school that my daughter is dropped from their summer programming because I was 15 minutes late today. I've been late on several occasions, and once paid $150 fine. But to then tell her that she is no longer able to participate in any of their programs, even when they start in less than a week is absolutely unethical. I don't know what I'm supposed to do as a parent when I have a serious medical condition and I need to go to doctors appointments and to do things that I cannot bring my daughter to. I planned everything around her summer and these programs and because I was 15 minutes late they're going to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The program manager is obsessed with timeliness and I get calls from her one or two minutes after closing time when I'm literally running from my car to the door. These calls are generally very brash, and I feel like she's talking to a 47 year old woman like she would a 7 year old. I do not appreciate the way that I have been treated and I know that my daughter has a scholarship, that has been waved around quite a bit. I appreciate that. But I do not need to be treated like a second class citizen because of that and that's exactly how I feel they've been treating me and I find it absolutely repugnant. So whether you are a parent paying in full, or a recipient of a scholarship, you should know that there's a caste system. And you will be treated accordingly. Furthermore I was very excited about my daughter learning Spanish in what they have referred to as in an immersion program. I speak Spanish fluently, and I've tried to converse with my child who has been in this program all year and she has learned nothing in spanish. So I'm also very skeptical as to the language value being provided by these programs. I would love to know as a parent but the curriculum is or what they're doing with the kids because I've been completely left in the dark.

Under the center's care, my son truly blossomed. Well before we expected, he was singing songs to us, identifying letters, counting, and more. Being at Curious Explorers has been instrumental in catching him up. The curriculum is fun, varied, and focuses on all areas of development.
