Had the best experience with our family this past weekend with ARIS. He was so fun and the food was so good. They bring a water gun full of Saki and get your family drunk with dinner. While the food was cooking, they had a few games to entertain the family. We were all laughing and was so accommodating. read more

Responwe from the owner is Bullsh.t. this was response from their customer service verbatim Dear Cheryl, Thank you for explaining this in more detail. After reading your message, I went back and looked into the situation and the review on yelps more carefully, and I agree that there are parts of what happened that do not line up with the way it was originally explained to us. If you called on Friday to confirm the event, and then called again on Saturday asking where the chef was, Savvy and yumo should have caught the date issue at that point and addressed it with you immediately. You should not have been told that the chef would call you, only to continue waiting and then receive a cancellation by text later that evening. I completely understand why you are so upset. No one wants something like this to happen, especially on their own birthday. I also have my birthday in August, so I can personally understand how disappointing it would feel to put time, money, and effort into planning a special celebration and then have the main service fall through at the last minute. We are now reviewing the communication handled by the two customer service team members- Savvy and yumo who spoke with you. Because their conversations with you directly affected how this order was handled, we are treating this seriously and reviewing whether important information was missed or not properly escalated. If we find that there was any failure to accurately report or handle what happened, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken, including suspension if warranted. I am very sorry that this happened to you, Cheryl. At this point,I want to understand what we can do to help make up for the impact this had on your birthday. Please tell me what would feel meaningful to you. I would genuinely like the opportunity to do something to make this situation better rather than leave you with this experience. Sincerely, Zoe Customer Service Supervisor Love Hibachi read more

I booked with this company two months in advance for a bachelorette party coming up this weekend. I received an email today that they are cancelling four days in advance. I have 7 of my friends coming to town and we planned our entire weekend around this event and are now scrambling to try and find something else. I'm seeing this a repeat pattern for this company, which is completely unacceptable considering the high rating they have. read more

We hired Love Hibachi for our event. It was such a fun and interactive event. Our chef, chef Ethan, was so fun and lovely. He planned games and activities for us including catching food, drinking, and fire juggling. Food: 5/5 Each of our meals came with a salad, fried rice, veggies, and one or two proteins. The food also came with a yum yum sauce that was delectable and paired with everything. I got the steak: scallop, and the scallop was so tasty and the steak pretty tender. Everything paired perfectly and we loved the experience! I would definitely recommend Love Hibachi and chef Ethan for any family gathering or party. read more

Great experience and great food!! Everything was well seasoned and put on a good show! Loved the sake shots with the water gun too!

Best chef, amazing food, would recommend for a big group! We had an awesome time and good entertainment

My booking was on Aug 2nd,l was so nervous about to organize 25ppl party. booked this company to help me with.Turns out they surprised me, they told me step-by-step for booking and how to prepare the dining table. It helped me alot to clear everything I need for my party preparing. The show was so fun, played few games and enjoyed! read more

Saying that this was a bad experience is an understatement by far. The food was really oily, the grill broke down in the middle of the event, and worst of all our entire group got food poisoning. Personally I spent the last 12 hours throwing up and it was the worst food poisoning I've gotten in my life. Do not hire them. Save yourself the trouble and either hire another company or order some Panda Express or something. read more

We had such a great time at our Hibachi dinner with Tony! The food was great and the games were really fun!

Bruce was great! He was on time and punctual and played some games with us to get the party started. Great at home hibachi experience!

I am Annabelle's father and I booked this event for her party. Her review is truthful and accurate. It's absolutely ridiculous for the owner to comment that he cannot find any booking under her name. This company is discraceful, unethical, inconsiderate and unprofessional. How they could possibly cancel our party the morning of the event is outrageous - and the owner never contacted me to apologize! Beware - I would NOT book a party with this company read more

This company canceled 24 hours before the party. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY- unreliable and unprofessional!!! First they tried to change the time. We reserved an 8pm slot and they tried to change to 5pm 3 days before the party- mind you I had scheduled this almost a month in advance. I pushed back on the time slot because 5pm vs 8pm is a very different start time. Then to cancel 24 hours before the party is just absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. A friend used this company which is how I got their name in the first place. DO NOT use this company they are unreliable and unprofessional. I guess we are lucky compared to others who got no notice before a no show... totally disrespectful and you should 100% find a different company if you want your party to happen. read more

Do NOT book with this company!!! I booked them for May 16 for 18 people in Bozeman Montana for my best friends bachelorette party and they canceled on us a week prior to the event. We had this booked and confirmed for months only for them to reach out and say that they couldn't confirm our booking in our area even though we had already confirmed our location with them AND paid our deposit months in advance. Then when I called to ask what was going on they then changed their story to the chef couldn't do it anymore? Insanely unprofessional and shady company. It's not easy to accommodate this size of a group so to then leave us scrambling at the very last second to try to find something else is wildly disrespectful and stressful to put on customers. DO NOT BOOK!!!!! read more

We had the absolute best time with Chef Sam, who did our friend's birthday hibachi dinner. His energy was incredible from the moment he stepped up to the grill. Sam was funny, engaging, and totally committed to making sure everyone there was having a blast. The food was amazing, but the entertainment was next-level. Chef Sam kept the laughter going with his tricks, and, of course, his nonstop super-soaker sake service, which had the whole table cheering, "MORE SEXY!!!!" If you're looking for a hibachi experience that's delicious, lively, and totally memorable, Chef Sam is the one you want. Highly recommend! read more

A waste a money, terrible communication and their booking manager agreed to send 2 chef since I have 35 guests but only sent me 1, chef. This is Burlingame location, I just wasted 2 thousand dollars. I modified my review after speaking to the customer service, they apologized for my experience and wanted to fully refund my money. I only agreed to partial refund since it wasn't totally the chef or corporate's fault, mostly due to poor communication and management. I do hope they do better next time and other customers can enjoy the service. read more

Tony was great, he brought plenty of food and it was all delicious! We all liked the lychee sake as well

Absolutely terrible experience with Love Hibachi. I booked them on February 9th for my 30th birthday March 20th for 17 people, and they canceled the day before. Who does that? After over a month of planning and confirming, they canceled with less than 24 hours notice for a party this size is completely unacceptable. It put a huge amount of stress on my birthday dinner and honestly ruined a big part of what we had planned. Planning food for a group this size isn't something you can just throw together overnight, and they clearly didn't care about the position they put us in. It's incredibly unprofessional and honestly shows a complete lack of respect for their customers' time and events. If they can't handle commitments or manage their schedule, they shouldn't be taking bookings in the first place. Save yourself the stress and don't book with them unless you're okay with your plans potentially falling apart at the last minute. read more

We were celebrating a birthday and got lucky to have had Chef Josh! We weren't expecting high winds and such cold weather but Chef Josh didn't let anything get in the way of hosting a GREAT experience !!! He brought such a fun energy to our party. We had a backyard birthday hibachi experience and it was a great time with Chris and Feng. They were lively especially with the sake super soaker. The food came out in a good progression. There was not a moment where we weren't shoveling food into our mouths. I do recommend that hosts provide some appetizer if their group has stragglers because there is a show before the food starts. The pure joy on our birthday girl's face says it all! read more

Habatchi Chief completely exceeded every expectation. From the moment the grill fired up, the energy, professionalism, and skill were off the charts. The chef was not only insanely talented, but also hilarious, engaging, and made every single guest feel included--kids and adults alike. The food was next-level: perfectly cooked proteins, incredibly flavorful fried rice, fresh vegetables, and generous portions across the board. Everything tasted restaurant-quality (or better), but with the added magic of a private, interactive show right in front of us. The timing, presentation, and attention to detail were flawless. What really sets Habatchi Chief apart is the experience. It wasn't just dinner--it was entertainment, laughter, and memories all wrapped into one. Our group is still talking about it, and several guests are already planning to book for their own events. If you're considering a hibachi chef for a birthday, family gathering, celebration, or just an unforgettable night--book Habatchi Chief immediately. Worth every penny and then some. We will 100% be repeat customers! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! We booked Love Habachi for a birthday party in Los Angeles. We paid a 50% deposit and confirmed the party the day before. They were suppose to arrive at 7pm to set up for an 8 pm start. We had 18 people show up for an exciting night. No one showed up at 7. we started calling and calling.. We finally got a response at 8pm that the chef couldn't make it. No apologies, now back up plan. We were left with nothing... A celebration ruined. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANYH read more

Solid experience Charles was very entertaining, just the right amount of food and delicious

Fun Fun Fun!!! Ethan is a ball of fun! Super sweet and fun! Highly recommend! He is interactive and always trying to keep the party going!

We hired Love Hibachi for my sister's bachelorette party, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. To start, the chef made several inappropriate jokes. If a joke begins by asking people in the room "How many people here are a certain race/ethnicity?", it's probably not appropriate for a group event. It made things uncomfortable pretty quickly. In terms of entertainment, there were very few of the engaging cooking tricks you'd expect from a hibachi experience. Aside from a couple of basic fire tricks, there wasn't much of a show--none of the creative or interactive food tricks I've seen at other hibachi restaurants. Finally, the food itself was just okay. It lacked flavor, and honestly, I felt like I could have made a more enjoyable meal at home. Overall, this was not the hibachi experience I was hoping for, especially for such a special occasion. Updated review: I appreciate the prompt response and the effort made to address and make up for our experience. It means a lot that they took the time to listen to our concerns and respond thoughtfully. While it doesn't change what happened, their customer service has been great and very responsive. read more

Update to my review...following my posting and reach out to the company about our disappointing experience, I had a wonderful and professional experience with Management. They were deeply apologetic about our experience, they were professional and understanding, and kind enough to reimburse us a large portion of our payment. They were helpful and apologetic and I look forward to trying their services again - I believe it was just a fluke and have faith that next time they will be a 5-star experience. read more
