He absolutely Loves his coach and class. He gets very excited and sometimes has a hard time listening since he's so young and has so much energy. Coach Lauren is just amazing with him despite this. She has patience and is able to redirect him with kindness. She's a great coach and in the short time we've been here, I've seen so much improvement with our son. He has gained a lot of core and upper body strength and just looks forward to going every single week. We love watching him learn something new and have fun with it! This review is for Hannah and Jordan! My daughter, G, started with Hannah, quickly moved up to Jordan and now is moving up again. Both of these coaches are wonderful! My daughter has learned so much from both of them and loved getting to work with them both! She has gained so much confidence in herself and has gained so much strength in her core and upper body as well! These coaches are kind and do a wonderful job with building skills that you can see in practice. This has become something my daughter wants to do for the long run so I'm thankful to them and all of the great staff at Mavericks!

It made me feel like they never really cared what was convenient, as long as they got our money. The other issues have been with Angela, the receptionist. They have been minor and I tend to ignore her but she can be rude and not welcoming. She made my child feel unwelcome once and that bothers me more than her being rude to just me.

My 9yo daughter went for 2 full weeks (8:00-4:00) and my 5yo son did 2 of their half-days (8:30-1:30). Both kids had a blast this summer! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. My daughter takes gymnastics classes here, so this camp is just another great service that they offer. Rates are on par with other camps. Electronic devices are prohibited during this active camp, which I think is a great policy! Kids do not need to be plugged in everyday. I like how the kids are grouped by age and each week has a different theme (sports, space exploration, safari, etc.). They do a theme-related craft each day, which is cute. We get a kick out of them, even though some are geared toward a much younger age than my 9yo daughter - we just giggle at those and I tell her how cute she is. She rolls her eyes - it's a lot of fun. They get free play in the little gym from 8:00-8:45 before they break into their age groups. They take a couple of snack breaks (dry snacks provided) and a lunch (parent provides). They go back and forth between the big and little gyms throughout the day, and around pick-up time (4PM), they're usually watching a movie. Sign-in at drop-off and ID check and sign-out at pick-up. You can register week-by-week online. You can uncheck days during the week if you know you won't be sending them every day and only pay for the days they will attend. This worked great when we had a dental appointment scheduled during one of the days, so I only paid for 4 days that week. They have a flexible refund policy too. You can pay an extra $10/day if you need extended care from 4-6 PM. The coach will send you an email the week before camp to introduce themselves and provide camp-specific info. This is a great touch and really helpful for parents to stay informed of procedures and expectations. One tip for them: update your information form that parents fill out to remove the info about swimming, since it's no longer offered during the camp. Other than that, keep doing what you're doing!

Our coach Sophie was amazing! She was very professional and actively monitoring the entire gym the whole time. Watching her grow here has been incredible. Coach Grace has been so patient and intentional with Brooke, truly serving as an amazing mentor both in and out of the gym. Coach Nina is wonderful as well -- both coaches genuinely care about their athletes and it shows. The front desk staff is always kind, organized, and quick to respond to any questions we have, which makes everything run so smoothly. This gym has helped our daughter grow tremendously in the sport of gymnastics, but even more importantly, it has built her confidence. We are so thankful to Powerhouse and everything they do for these kids.

At no time did the teacher(s) have control. The dance portion of the class was a 1. the gym portion of this three part class was the best (not great, but a solid 3) but even with 2 teachers and five students, teachers allowed children to do unsafe practices such as jumping off items without allowing the previous student to move out of the way first and almost no interaction with children. spend your money and your child's time elsewhere!
