Absolutely great staff everybody there was kind and helpful especially Tamyee. She knew every piece of gear that I needed was kind and generous easy to work with read more

Affordable and a big selection to choose from. Staff was very nice and they have a good knowledge of the merchandise.

Amazing spot for all things tactical gear. Uniforms, boots, accessories, guns, ammunition, cases, optics... you name it they have it or they can find it. Their footprint is impressive with a large retail showroom (open to public!). Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a good reason they have been a staple in South Florida since 1954. If you are in the market for gear or just enjoy browsing what's available- go check them out! read more

Wow what a change! Horrible customer service. Extremely slow and to say most of their stuff can be found online for ALOT cheaper. You would think k they would attend to you better and in a TIMELY manner. Staff not knowing where keepers are is unacceptable read more

Staff is mostly ok with the exception a young guy, seems Hispanic, always gives people the hardest of times, makes snarky comments when people order expensive firearms and gear to be picked up. Not sure if he is envious or what, he gives a really bad vibe to the place. At some point even suggested that I ordered and had my stuff sent to another place other than Lou's. Not sure if he owns the place or not but that's not good for business. Always makes sure to let you know that it's not his priority to process your order fast and that it will get done "when it gets done". Everyone else is nice but this guy is awful, and the sad part is that he is the manager or something. Horrific. I would strongly advice to go somewhere else to buy your guns, and apparel, there is a place near called Florida Gun Center in Hialeah, they are nice, strict where needed and avoid unnecessary headaches. Give cool advice on guns and don't ridicule for being a customer! That Hispanic guy is running Lou's reputation and I would seriously consider demoting him to door greeter or letting him go all together. read more

Jeff took great care of me this weekend. Would recommend to friends/family. Very knowledgeable and great customer service.

I had an excellent experience at Lou's Gun Store, thanks to Jefferson! He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all my questions. read more

This place used to be great but I think they got to big. The customer service has gone downhill. Not a pleasant place to go anymore for your police equipment. read more

Excellent customer service, polite, and very knowledgeable. Explained all details and made me feel comfortable.

I've been buying guns from Lou's since they were in east Hialeah. Trusting them I purchased a rifle a couple of weeks ago. I just saw the receipt on my desk. Out of curiosity I compared what I paid to prices online and it was over $120.00. BUYER BEWARE. Shop online and haggle with Lou's. If they are not willing to sell it for the price you want, don't buy it from them. If they tell you they can't reduce the price due to overhead, tell them you are not there to pay their overhead. Go online, order the item, send it to a FFL close to you, and pay the transfer fee (usually $15 - $20). This reminds me of the old adage, "Trust me, F you". Well thank you Lou's. I know better for next time. read more

Awful customer service. the staff I dealt with were rude, raising their voice at simple questions, bought a gun and I've been waiting for 2 weeks for them to ship a single firearm, and a holster. absolutely ridiculous. Everytime I try to get ahold of them to get updates or answers as to why this is they just say " leave a name and number and we'll direct you to the right person" or "they're not here right now." Don't waste your money on these people even if you get the blue label discount. read more

Great service from Humberto and Angel, helped me with what I was looking for.Definitely coming back soon, Great place and service.

Lou's offers great value, great customer service, and an overall great firearm shopping experience. The first thing I like about Lou's is that when you pull up and are parking, the spots are filled with LEOs. This makes me feel like it is a place that is respected in the community. Because police shop here regularly, I feel like the staff is trustworthy. Once inside, it is a toy store for gun enthusiasts. They have a very large selection of handguns, rifles, shotguns, and accessories. There is everything you need to clean and maintain your weapon, branded clothing, and enough ammunition that you should always be able to find what you are looking for. Once up to the counter, the ordering process is simple and inviting. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. They will help you handle and get a feel for different options, all while answering your questions about them. The pricing is on point with other retailers, so that is welcoming as well. All in all, if you are looking for a store that has just about everything, paired with a staff that is knowledgable and helpful, check out Lou's. Even though I have tried shopping other places, I always end up back here. read more

love this place. great staff and great prices. normally deal with Jeff. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Buyer Beware. I was a 30 yr plus loyal customer when LOU'S was the hub of the wheel for ALL LEO gear. Make certain the FA model negotiated and purchased is the FA actually delivered. I was told LOU recently sold the shop and that truly is the end of an era for SFLA and my future business. read more

Nice spot....even better if you are, or know an officer. I got great deals because my officer friends hooked me up. Civilians, not so much..expect regular to marked up prices. read more

Great place to buy anything that's related to firearms. I have bought 2 glocks here the 21 and now the 41 gen 4 mos. Great customer service during the quarantine. Lou's Police Distributors - My glock 41 gen 4 MOS - Sporting Goods Near Me - Hialeah, Florida

For starters, I'm a newbie in regards to firearms; a true novice if you will, but with a lot of research done prior to my deciding "ok, now's the time to finally purchase my first firearm". I was kindly greeted by Lou himself regardless he was busy with another customer. Once done, Lou approached me and made me feel at home, home as if no one is going to take advantage of me and my cuasi-total ignorance about firearms. He then re-directed me to Armando, an excellent sales associate with plenty of experience and even more patience, introduced me and almost one hour later I was ringing up my not one, but first two guns -out of my own insistence, not Armando's. On his end, Armando answered all of my questions, ranging from the most superstitious ones to the most basic and fundamental. The guy knows his stuff from a to z, and doesn't boast about it. He basically focused on my needs, my priorities and my aesthetic preferences, procured to show me all of the choices available, helped me out with all of the paperwork, and enlightened me about the post-purchase steps I must take as a responsible gun owner. He took his time, and made me feel comfortable in an ambient that is usually distrustful of everyone who walks through the door. This is my friendly gun shop from now on. No need to look any other way. read more

Employees were helpful and recommended items that were helpful. Prices were reasonable and products were good quality.

Went there to buy a firearm met with Angel he was very helpful been coming here for years and they always been great.

Angel took great care of me with ordering my Blue Label Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS. I love the little pistol. It's my new off duty carry.

Great service and great selection of guns and gear. They had the Glock I wanted in stock which surprised me because it was fairly new. The salesman, Javier, was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. read more

Lou's has been in Hialeah for a very long time. I'm not a handgun enthusiast but I needed a firearm and they seemed to be the biggest game in town. I did my research before I went and I was relatively informed. Prices of guns and accessories were ridiculously inflated. When I went their handgun inventory was laughable. Sales and service personnel were a bunch of young guys with limited knowledge of firearms. They take trade ins toward purchases but they lowball hard. Bass pro offered 25% more for my trade in and Shoot Straight in Ft. Lauderdale offered a whopping 100% more than Lou's. I was really disappointed because I want to support the local guy. Unfortunately in this age of online information and sales you can't just crank up your prices by 50% and expect people to take it. These people really do not want business from the public. They deal and cater to police and law enforcement. If you need help and advice they treat you like you are taking up their valuable time. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I'm a 30 year resident of Miami Lakes and Hialeah and I will use a wooden stick to defend myself before I ever go back to Lou's for a firearm. read more

Excellent service and good quality products at great prices. I could not be more appreciative of the staff and how they treated me. I almost don't want to go anywhere else now. They are a bit old school in that they give you a slip and then you go see the cashier like in a department store years ago. I found their prices to be amount the best in South Florida and the staff were very knowledgeable. read more

I went here on a recommendation from my parents to purchase a fire arm. I gave 4 stars because my experience was as enjoyable as can be expected given the times we are in with ammo shortage and lack of options due to lack of ammo. Nevertheless I purchased a weapon filled out the documentation and waited the 5 days as mandated in Dade county. I go to pick up my weapon and asked if there were other options, sure enough there was. I was able to change my weapon and pay the difference. My wife even purchased her gun as well! Overall an excellent experience. read more

For all things that go PewpEwPeW and are tacticool, Lou's is your spot. You don't have to be active military or law enforcement to buy here... I believe you get a little discount if you are though. Throughout the years I've purchased a few firearms and optics here. I'd say their prices are competitive... But yeah it can be hard to compete with the national online shops. Recently priced a Bushmaster ACR, Lou's quoted within $100 of the cheapest I could find online. I ended up buying it online only because Lou's couldn't get it in the right color... That sounds so lame now that I write it. I wanted the rifle to match my eyes though. That sounded even lamer. JK? They have a large selection and variety of firearms. They also do Class 3 stuff. Attentive and helpful - may not be the most patient though. The one issue you might find is that it may take a while to be seen, this place can get busy. There isn't a number system but they seem pretty good about knowing who came first... Or who has been lingering the longest lol. Avoid going on Caturdays if you can cause it'll probably be super packed. Closed Sundays. They have parking along the side of the building. Maybe about 10-15 spaces. You might have to park roadside around the block or just block someone in if it's full... I hope it isn't a cop if do though - he/she probably just bought some fresh cartridges for his/her taser. read more

Great prices and selections and the team was very helpful. For sure best in Miami!!!!!

Very good selection, very good pricing. Terrible sales help. You're always rushed, never anything more then eye contact until you speak to them. No, how can I help you? Certainly no expert advise. Just buy or move on so we can help the next guy (and get commissions?). Like I always say...operate like someone is going to open next door. I'll pay 10% more and get quality service. read more

I received amazing customer service from Natalie. She helped me find everything I needed. Very knowledgeable on products!

Came here to purchase a firearm last week and I was assisted by Manny, whom might I add was very knowledgeable about the type of weapon I needed. I ended up purchasing a Glock 42. The paperwork was pretty fast and easy to fill out ($5 for a background check). I was told I needed to come back in a few days for pick up, once I returned on a Saturday morning the service a bit slow, I waited around 15/20 minutes then I decided that I was going to leave when I was approached by Jorge, and he assisted me right away. He made my checkout process very smooth. read more

Great service and great selection. This is the spot where LEO make their purchases in south Florida, so don't be surprised to see the place full of cops. They have a great selection of gear and firearms and ammo too. Bought my really first gun here, a S&W MP9 for a price that was beating everyone else!! read more

Great place if you're LE/MIL. If you're not, I recommend going elsewhere as prices will either be MSRP or higher. purchased my Blue Label Glock here. Blue Label prices matched Glock's official Blue Label price list. Transaction was a breeze and atmosphere was pleasant. Wide variety of items available and on display. Transfer fees...at $50 + $5 for a background check, they're high for the area. I've found several FFLs that will do a transfer + background check for $25 - $30. Overall, a great place. Will likely be returning here to purchase my next Blue Label Glock. read more

I've purchased two firearms from lou's within the past year. This place is pretty sweet. It's in a giant warehouse with tons of stuff for your gun needs. The lines for guns usually build up pretty long. You have to wait for your number to be called (think Publix deli), but you can shop around while you are. They have an extensive collection of firearms, more than any store in the area. They seem to be knowledgeable and friendly, mind you they are in the business of selling not chatting. The gun prices are the best I've seen in south Florida, especially if you're law enforcement. This is the not gun store I can go to and leave not feeling like I was cheated. Check them out, you won't be disappointed! read more

I would like to specially thank the female phone attendant that tricked me into driving from West Palm Beach under the false pretenses that the Glock event included glock firearm discounts. "Oh sorry we ran out of Glock 30s, they were selling for $100 less, the sale applies to all glocks". Complete lies thanks for the 3 hours in traffic on the way back. Very disappointed with your staff. I purchased my first glock from here but now I really doubt I'll be back, this really soiled all previous experiences. read more
