It's either the technician can't read the work order properly or the customer service person can't write up a simple order correctly. Twice it was corrected to the proper oil (that I've specified for 14 years in a row!). One time I found out when I went for the next oil change (of which they charged me for the more expensive brand) because the service person mentioned it. This last time, I walked out shaking my head...if they can't get a simple oil change correct, then what are they doing to customers that have more complicated work done???
